#Drodieka #Droidekas #clonewars #star wars
1. Using the force
2. High explosives
3. Slow moving grenades
4. Sneaking up from behind
5. Beeing Mace Windu
6: Being Yoda
7. Having UUUUNLIIIMITTEEED POWAAAAAH
8. Grievous
Shatter point
If it was Mace Windu being sent to negotiate with Nute Gunray in the Phantom Menace, the film would have been over in less than an hour.
1: High Explosives (Cannons, RPGs, etc)
2: slow moving droid poppers
3, CQC: put your weapon through their shields slowly and blast them
4: The force
5: Grevious
Give a Grievous for every clone squadron😂😂
And also a Naboo starfighter which should be under high explosives
And Ahsoka found that the top of their shields are weak and a lightsaber can pass through the top
@@jameswest5470 No she moved her saber's hilt through the shield and then activated her saber.
Flare kytal or make walls fall on them
Obi-wan casually playing bowling with them and scoring 2 strikes in a row XD
If only Grevious hadn't been in the way, he could've gone 3 for 3 on the strikes.
@@spiceracksargent0014 Obiwan was robbed of that turkey.
When obi wan force pushes them they just roll, when windu does they combust and explode lmao
Obi-Wans use of the force was known to be more subtle and precise with the occasional use of sheer force, whilst Mace’s use was often overpowering and grander in scale with the occasional subtle application.
windu uses force crush and force push, obi wan is not known to use force crush
Maybe it’s shatter point
because windu is like 10 times more powerful in the force than obi wan?
@@noahcamiola7995 I was thinking the same.
That first scene is probably one of my favorite examples of how this show uses fight choreography to establish someone's character. Obi-Wan is notable smart and likes to avoid direct conflict wherever he can, and so he immediately recognizes how to turn an enemy strongpoint into a weapon against his pursuers. Instead of just breaking the Droidekas, he uses them. I'm especially fond of the little sidestep he does to position the last Droideka's shield between himself and Grevious.
1:11 I always loved how windu just trashed that B1
They were already rolling when windu pushed them. They mustve flipped to the side and got some droid bits in their components
Obi-Wan over here bowling a near perfect game on the Malevolence
Now I want a Star Wars bowling game
@@TREVORVADER Agreed
I'm surprised that the droideka didn't appear in season 7 at all.
I would have loved to see how the bad batch fight droidekas, or if they were the bad batch's weakness
You are right
What a pity, I can't imagine the bad batch destroying droidekas so easily
It's actually the same reason they didn't fight Commando Droids directly.
If they appeared, they would need to be destroyed by the bad batch because plot armor, and it will make them look weak even though they are both well respected droid units by the fans.
In some Deleted scenes Sniper Droidekas appear during the Utapau Ark
There's a ton of stuff that never appeared in the show that I would have like to have seen. But at least the droidekas were there for most of it.
Count Dooku: Grievous, these Droidekas are expensive.
I never knew how much I needed this until this moment
The way Jedi sisters Tip-Lee and Tip-Lar did it with the clones was pretty ingenious
Plus the clones literally playing the droideka's own game, at least momentarily
2:23 So basically a Holtzman shield from Dune. Slow moving objects can pass, high velocity objects are deflected. The reason why people in the Duneverse use knives in war rather than guns.
Except that droideka shields up close emit the same amount of radiation as an uninsulated nuclear core. There is a reason why such shields are used EXCLUSIVELY by mechanical troops and no one puts on, say, a backpack with a shield generator. It makes me even funnier for some of the scenes when Anakin, Ahsoka and others simply come close to the droidekas or even under the shield itself to strike. Do midichlorians really help against radiation poisoning?..
@@Pen_Peni4poor Rex doesn’t have them to defend against that
@@Pen_Peni4 Anakin also uses STAPs despite the fact, that the engines basically blast the users legs with radiation, they are designed for droids of course, and they don't care. Perhaps Obi-Wan did Anakin a solid, when he cut his legs off.
Battlefront 2 should make them stronger against lasers, but weaker against explosives.
I think Vader would have nightmares if he saw these again
Well he’s powerful so 😂
Vader would probably just crush them with the Force.
Jesus! I forgot the scene with the mace windu.
I was thinking that he was too damn arrogant but after seeing this scene I started to give him respect again.
He has some right to be arrogant after all.
Nice video and thanks for letting us know how to defeat droidekas.
When I try to throw a grenade at it in battlefront 2 it doesn’t go through lmao
Just like the simulations..... almost
Maybe the grenades were moving too fast.
Droidekas will always be my favorite droid
Damn! Windu's force push was more like a freaking for crush!!
0:45 Droid : That was impressive.
Grievous is one tough bowling pin
That's really cool. They have the characters either slowly walk through the shield or slowly bring their hands through the shield because if they moved too fast they would probably bounce off.
The second to last clip makes me think the clones see droidekas like those really annoying video game enemies that aren't HARD to beat, they're just gimmicky and distract from anything else you're doing.
it's funny because that's exactly what they are in the Lego video games lmao
I've just come from the final episode of The Book of Boba Fett: I thought lightsabres and darksabres can cut through energy shields
Well not really, if you notice closley, ahsoka had to turn off her lightsaber and then turn it on after it goes through the shield. Besides those scorponok droids were bigger, thus it needed more power to take down the shields
That mace scene is awesome
Came here after Ep 7 of BoB. That whole Droid sequence that took up 80% of the episode could have been a looot shorter if it made any sense. Suddenly you can't walk through or pierce shields with a lightsaber?? Okay
That's because it's not just a simple deflector shield, it's got a powerful ray shield too like from episode 3 where Obi Ean and Anakiin got trapped by general grievous
Sounds like you didn't actually watch star wars lol
@@onepangaean3018 Except it's not a ray shield because missiles can penetrate them. And ray shields are white and wavy. You tried to sound smart
1:29 perfect master and apprentice combat synergy. He immediately goes to cover her and then she instantly covers his back soon as the other droideka shows up behind him
Honestly, Droidekas are the best land droid the CIS has ever built. Too bad they only made like 120 of them during the entirety of the Clone Wars.
Probably because of how much they cost to build
@@mosesborras3221 Yeah, it was really hella expensive to make one, let alone get the manufacturers to do one. Normally it costed around 400,000 Credits, but they’d sometimes bargain over 12 exotic fish. I dunno, I see it as a balance update the Force rolled out.
@@giovannyalpizar5351 I didn’t know that they bargain
@@mosesborras3221 They did. Initially they had the B1’s and then other confederates had their droid designs and armies added. Droidekas did exist before Episode 1, but the species that had the droid didn’t really accept credits, but exotic fish or food of some sort.
0:43 Bro, that thing was really expensive?! Irresponsible.
meanwhile in Battlefront 2 you just shoot them 5 times and their shield goes down
You gotta nerf them somehow
They’d be waay too powerful if they were accurate to the films and tv show and such.
My favorite method.
Jump on top of them and perform a powerful down thrust attack
Rolling boys
0:40 Do I look like I need you're power?
1. Slide under the droids legs and ignite your saber and cut it in half but make sure the droid has its shield down
2. A shot from an AT-TE or cannons
3. Droid poppers
4. The force
5. Grenades
6.Grievous
7. CQC
8. Rocket launchers
9. Basically anything you see that can be either cut
Me, a player who plays Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga: so this is how u do it...
double jump, press the explosion image button, shield gone, also double jump, press the explosion image button again, again, and again, and there you go, droideka is dead
You forgot about the way Anakin taught Ahsoka in The Clone Wars movie. Let them roll to chase you then slice them up
Thanks for the video!
Now I can enter the battle again!
Or the high ground....
Remember when disable droid was a force power
Bungie should have got a deal and copied the design of the Droideka to make like forerunner sentinel versions of them for Halo 2 back in the day. I can see them firing like fast moving machine gun style green and orange lazer beams to neutralize flood combat forms and clear paths for regular sentinels.
The covenant could then be seen later on capturing them, repurposing them to be controlled by Hunter worms and shoot blue plasma cannons like a ghost does.
0:47 This is just claustrophobic
I hate how even the drodiekas were portrayed somewhat weak in the clone wars.
Not really. It's just that they have exploitable weaknesses that the characters learn to take advantage of after fighting them for so long. It's not weak, it's realistic. You spend enough time fighting an enemy, you know their weaknesses.
Bouncin what are you talking about?
Like if the Droidika replaced B1s, then it becomes a common target and becomes easier to take down. Like any foe, the more you fight them, the better you can kill them.
Like in games, a heavy unit is hard the first time you encounter them but later you know how to kill them quicker without losing as often
Nahh, the droids were really underwhelming most of the time compared to the epic scenes they gave to the clones or any other good guy. They even screwed over magna guards who were literally capable of killing a jedi 1v1. But then you see a 13 year old Ahsoka fighting 4 of them or a retarded rebel on Onderon taking out TWO of them with a damn gun. The show did droids no justice, or the entire CIS.
Well, they are indeed overpowered, and it would’ve made for a much powerful, yet slower army. The fact is that there were only 120 of these units constructed in the entire Clone Wars, from 21 to 19 BBY. Their manufacturers did not accept credits but this rare fish. But they were very sleazy with the CIS in making these droids.
Plus they were expensive and too op.
EMP grenades = Best grenades
Seriously, these things even help a lot if you played a lot of Black Ops 2.
Everyone knows you just have to do a double jump slam attack to remove the shield
You would think the CIS would have been smart with such an expensive piece of equipment, but often times, the Droideka was rolled out into a situation without support and could be flanked or exploited.
Literally crush it with depression and invade its no no square.
LuL
Windu dropping the fucking door on the tank never fails to make me laugh
2:26
That little "demonstration" could have gone very badly... 🤣 🤣 🤣
Because in The Phantom Menace, the Droideka's energy shields ABSORB their own blaster bolt fire directed back at them from Obi Wan...
Wait...can someone fact check this for me please? 🤣 🤣 🤣
Throw a helmet at it like in rebels 😂
The shield overheated from the impact due to that droideka being so old. The ones in pristine shape being used so often during the Clone Wars never had that issue.
Obi Wan bowls on his spare time
1) Slow
2) Crush
3) Fucking Magic
the tripods in 2005 war of the worlds has the same flaw
Playing through Jedi Survivor and I can confirm droidekas are a pain in the ass to deal with.
This should literally be titled as Battlefront 2 Republic tutorial
These Droids are expensive..
General Grevious:
Wish we could push them like that in bf2
Sure you could do all this, but you're forgetting the most effective way, The way captain Rex did it!.....throw your helmet at it!
Bowling droids 😆
0:44 this fucking part though.
Strategies used in this video (in no particular order):
Crushing
Heavy Weapons
Shield Bypassing
The Force
Droid Poppers
I never understood why slow moving things are allowed to pass through the shield. There's no reason why that sould be necessary. The amount of mobility loss is negligible compared to the major defensive issues it causes. Plus the can just turn the shield off and roll over difficult terrain
1:46
“Naughty boy!”
Those droids are one of my favorite
I was always disappointed how much of a disservice TCW did to droidekas. In the films they were clearly shown to be an extremely potent threat, but in the show, they are only a step above the fodder in the same way as commando droids, which usually amounts to meaning that a handful of clones may die.
The only film we saw droidekas seem more vulnerable was Episode 2, but that was a different model than the one used in TCW and Episode 3 that wasn't able to use its shield as much and had to conserve energy due to the updated blaster cannons being extremely energy consuming (the original Episode 1 model had less powerful blasters apparently).
Following Episode 2, a third model of droidekas were created that could manage their energy better, meaning they could fire and use shields, just like the older Episode 1 model, but they had even more firepower like the Episode 2 version. These droids should have been extremely powerful, but I feel like the show fails to give that impression.
0:12 Splat 😂😂😂😂😂😂
When I first saw the dreidel as on episode 1 I thought the were nearly invencible
Now they are just …. Normal enemies
not really, they always used the same principles to beat them: 1.debris; 2.high explosive; 3.moving your body/droid popper/weapon slowly inside and eliminate
in episode one they cant use 1 or 2, and for 3 they could have not known of that strategy or not want to risk it, so they ran
and as time went on the republic army grew better and better at beating them with those tricks, they came prepared
Droideka supremacy
The best defence was always heavy rocks dropped from above
The last one is my favorite
They're the best droids.
Plot Armor
Man Rex is the best. Just casually walks up and reaches through the shield to kill it
The separatist force is the video 6:15
Best droids ever.
Ahh they are no match for the droi de caaas
Fun fact these droids don't have shields in attack of the clones movie
I'm just fighting with droideka
Thank you
It's quite easy to kill them, you just need to hit them hard during their transformation cause they still don't have any shields at that time we'll if they have then pray you can dodge their lasers🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Big rocks
I thought the dorideka blasters were designed to destroy armoured vehicles? 3:50
Yep, fuckin clones must always win... Pathetic animals
@@Droideka_E3-VE3 I get story-wise they have to win, but it’s the equivalent of being hit with an anti tank rifle and only wearing Kevlar armour. No chance of surviving
When in the series have they been effective against armored vehicles?
Those riot shields were clearly designed with deflecting the fire of such blasters in mind. Maybe they have something like an inherent little shield built into them, or they're made out of some exotic material that can last a short while against that kind of firepower.
When your shield only block magic attacks with 0 physical defense
he said they block high velocity attacks, so bullets and arrows will bounce off. so it's more like "blocks ranged but not melee"
its ridicule how the robot are more inacurate than the humans its mary sue
Can they defeat ewoks?
Use Rocket Launchers Or Use At Te Big Gun Or Grenades
why did grievous kill the droideka in the second scene again?
Spite for not doing its job properly, of course.
@@echomjp grievous is more salty than an entire cod lobby
i mean to be honest it looked defective as fuck, the droideka was not even looking at obiwan after like 10 seconds he was standing in one spot, it was slowly waddling
grievous doesnt like defective droids
You forgot one: the Bad Batch.
These moves how to defeat a Destroyer why didn't they have the common knowledge to do these tactics on them in the films???? Lmaooo especially episode 1
Episode 1 was before all that, pretty obvious why
@@Vchk1917 theres no obvious maybe people were dumb in ep1 and couldve used this idea in ep1 instead? Pog champ
who was the jedi in that last scene?
They're no match for droidekaaaaas 😥
Classic
Being a jedi does help with a lot of crap
clone wars, another series nobody needed...
