Today We're playing around with Acidic Ammo! It has some new toys with an entirely new effect... let's cause some meltdowns!

Forts is a physics-based RTS where foes design and build custom bases, arm them to the teeth and blast their opponent's creations to rubble.
Build an armoured fort in real-time and arm it to the teeth. Collect resources, develop your tech-tree, unlock advanced weapons to target your opponent's weak points, and feel the satisfaction as their fort comes crashing down.

In fairness, they were able to do so that easily Because the acid mortars were so devestating they kept them from building cannon defenses and melted away a lot of existing ones.

Did anyone notice the trickshot of the sniper bouncing a bullet off a slanted metal to hit something behind cover at 9:16 ?
That was the splash damage from the cannon

Bro, I don't know what it is about these videos or how I even got recommended into this wormhole, but I love watching these. It is a great mix of fun, strategy, and cool building. I feel like I wouldn't even like the game as much as I like watching it, but man keep it up.

Very late, but that is actually something he has talked about. When the game is almost over, the enemy often tries to go for the 1 in a hundred shot to take out your base in one hit. Making that shot not exist prevents crazy comebacks
So ... can we say that the enemy reactors suffered a melt-down?

That Fat Guy From GTA SA I also had to rewatch, but Incurus already had been shooting his mortars there for a while before his teammate built up. It’s not like he had just built his mortars there as his teammate built up

If you look at this shot at 9:17 you can see him snipe a diagonal piece of metal to take out a minigun he couldn't reach and just act like it's the most casual thing he's ever done

it's interesting how watching rimworld and factorio videos got the youtube algorythm to lead me back to forts, the good part is: I don't remember most of the videos so I can enjoy them twice :P

I wonder how a combination of fire and the acid ammo would do, I would think very well since the fires may be able to help burn things down while the acid keeps them from repairing

Cannon. is still the gold standard weapon.
I'll be honest, I'm only watching these for the keyboard clicking.
This makes me wish there were bigger maps where you truly can build things up. Seeing the base like three buildings made me think of all the preset maps with little extra space to expand. What if you could really build up and outward.
Unlike the one mod that has you try and build a vehicle you instead unlock various ones that you can build on and send outwards as well. Very Long to short range weapons. Being able to set up further in by designing a way to make new cores without being very easily done. So you can make outposts and the like at a distance.
Could be fun.
Maps like that are fun, sometimes. When the bases are allowed to get close, we call them "tug of war" maps, because the forts expand towards each other until they touch, then grind away while Fighting to claim every meter of the opponents territory.
If the bases aren't allowed to touch, we get maps like battleships, where they get super high Eco and just constantly pound away with massive artillery batteries.
I never get to see acid or mortar this a great day 🙂

Acid is pretty much unstoppable fire that goes through metal
But it doesn’t react forever, it only reacts once so its pretty ineffective of you have thick enough material

The game's not very expensive
William Wise lol same, was gonna buy it on the last xmas steam sale but then realized it was only available on pc. I game on Mac btw cuz it’s the most powerful computer we have in the house, our family has no money to buy a new pc. Our current pc has a 2 core 2 thread LGA 775 cpu and an integrated GPU, i guess it could be comparable to the ps2.

I am a bit late to this vid but I noticed at 8:57 he hits the base in front of him with his bottom acid mortier. Then follows it up by doing so again destroying the top of his teammate's base.
