Smartphones are getting closer to apsc but still photo quality don't look as good as dslr, very over-processed plain images make it dreadful. Smartphone makers must address this issue. Apart from that, imo 1" 20mp sensor should be standardized across all flagship lineup, camera bump would be increased but is totally worth.

Sir, I have Canon 200d mark 2 with kit lens. Now i want to buy all tounder lenses like 18 135 mm lense or 55 250 mm lense. But i am surprised that canon has stopped to make it and they are all unavailable at kolkata Market. Also, i feel that if you use a crop censor dslr camera with a good lense, it will cost more than 1 lac. So i decided to move out to s22 ultra like phone. Also during travel time lense changing is very difficult and time-consuming. But a flagship phone can do it for me for all purposes. So, what do you think?

Phones are getting better for sure but still even an APSC camera can blow a flagship phone in 2023 in few situations (imp ones). Example: * Did you try to freeze a moving object through a phone. Would it focus with good edge detection? * What about low light photography with good object and background seperation? * What about dynamic range, and obviously as said here Videos are still in a different level on DSLR or morrorless compared to phone. So I think Camera is not only for wedding or show off. If you know the potential you will consider your camera in many situations/moments which matters for you. And also those flagship phone are not cheaper, they are above 1 lakhs. Note: Moon images taken from S22 and similar phones are not real, they uses an AI to put overlays to reproduce a images of moon. If you don't believe, do some research. PS: I use Sony APSC mirrorless camera with good quality lenses. I even don't look to my phone now for photography. Yes I use phone for wide angle shots or situations where I want to keep most of the things in focus.
