Already feeling so relieved after finding this channel. We began self isolating last week and I am home schooling whilst working from home full time. I’ve structured my working day to offer my 5 year old 3 sets of learning an hour each time. English, maths and then science/ history type project. Each one with a space in between. Phew x
@@Neoblade-s8g Not sure about 12yr old, as im planning on sending my 11year old to a good private secondary school. As i think it will be quite hard for me to do secondary school homeschooling. But hopefully someone who is doing homeschooling for 12yr olds can help. sorry i couldnt help more.😕
If it's any help, Alfie is 13 and gets on well with his homeschooling. We're planning to work towards GCSEs so he has the option of College or University later.
Home Education Journey UK is it correct if children are home schooled they take IGCSE = international gcse and not gcse because something to do with speaking and listening?
Thank you! We're struggling to remember.. we *think* they were from Sainsbury's, but they don't have them on their website now. The closest we can find is this - amzn.to/3q1cTe7
Love your channel! Thanks so much for the inspiration 💕 I just wanted to ask, what happens when it come to exams/qualifications when you go the home schooling route ?
Glad it's helpful :) You can take GCSEs privately for a small fee. We're planing to take the core ones and any others that the kids have a particular interest in - but they won't be all in the same year, we'll spread it out over a few years.
First i like your channel. Can I ask you how many hours should home school study in week .I have my daughter year one and I don't know how many hours should she need .
45 mins English 45 mins maths a day and a project you pick a subject like space, spring etc they do a bit of research make a poster with facts on and a bit of reading we use ixl for maths and English costs £12 a month and it's brilliant

Hi Sion. Yes, that's the plan. GCSEs for English and Maths and then a few elective ones based on their interests.
