WOW! Almost a year since you posted this and MANY, MANY THANKS! I've had this clock for years and couldnt remember how the set up of the time. I see I am not alone, HA. I no longer need an "o dark'thirty Alarm set, so wanted to change it and also my clock from being 15 mins fast. Retirement no longer requires that, either. Thank you so much again! I never would have gotten it...and was about ready to go buy a more simpler clock

This is “almost” the worst clock radio … the radio is great. Changing the time requires PhD! What could be worse than the Dream Machine? It’s the SONY ICF-C1B … Thank goodness for How-To instructions on You Tube from ‘geniuses’ who walk me through step-by-step.

They got to simplify it. You should be able to figure out any clock/radio in a minute how to set time and such. I have one of these and I always forget how to do it.

nice, successful, but you can call this (Sony ''Dream Machine'') the Nightmare Machine ! - too friggin' complicated: who doesn't know what year it is - how about what planet - all people want to do is set the time (after power blackout for example) instead of these convolutions

Don’t recommend using the automatic daylight savings time feature. Since Congress changed the date that the change takes place every every spring and fall, the clock is now programmed to change on the old incorrect dates so you will wake up to find you clock an hour off of the correct time.

Who needs all of this complicated shyte for an alarm clock? The news accounts for DST. And the time zone thing can just be entered through the TIME! Technology is stupid and I missed like three days work from two different jobs because of shut like this. Come on Sony. Instead of selling out and trying to be Pixar you should make a simple alarm clock , but NO. Those cost more!
