i'll wait for FBW.
I love the content man! I always look for your reviews on these aircraft regardless of whether they're high quality/high fidelity, or not. Great job with this, imo!
Thank you for your unbiased review.
I understand that some die hard A380 can no longer wait for a free professional FBW A380, or at least purchase for Inibuilds because it's worth it. They just want to have an A380 on their sim.
I'll be honest, I'm on Xbox and am not fussed about authenticity. My main complaint is that when I set up custom cameras in cockpit view of the view out the window, the textures aren't loaded properly. Aside from that I'm really happy with this add-on. I'd rather have a mid add-on for my favourite plane than a perfect model of a plane I'm not interested in like the Embraer.
Question regarding the A380... For someone like myself who just wants to say set up a flight plan in the menu (e.g Heathrow - Doha) whilst the price seems a little high.. this should surely do everything I want it to, taxi from terminal, take off engage AP... it'll follow the the waypoint, then disengage when about to touchdown etc.... really cba to use the FMC like more "realistic aircraft" I just want it to look good - fly from a - b. Would you say it does all of that?
yup
Thank you for these videos on the A380. Being a casual Xbox user, I felt I had no choice but the purchase this. I do love Airliners. I find this A380 to be satisfactory. Like you said - it does work. Question? Does the VS work or better still - What are the steps to get VS to work so I can climb and descend as I see fit. I have tried the VS and can't seem to get it to work.
You can climb and descend as you see fit anyway - just dial in an altitude, tap the altitude dial and the airplane will instantly begin to climb or descend to your newly selected altitude.
Thank you@@TiJayFLY
@@TiJayFLY Thanks for another "balanced" review of this product. If anyone needs to test it's flight model the Airbus A388 manual is freely available online. After 7 flights it has performed to specification from my experience. It's external textures are quite good as are the engine sounds and various operational sounds. I do believe it is certainly worth AU$37.95 that I paid for it. Cheers.
Inibuilds are leaps and bounds ahead of bredok3d, their airports, airbuses are on another lvl. Ill wait for them
Also the Mach switch is unlabelled and sits to the right above HDG. If you don't press it at cruise the display qill read 1.01 Mach when it is actually going .85 as per A 380 spec. So you will need to press the unlabelled button and scroll left down to .85 to hold this mach.
Mine consistently sits at .850 on the PFD speed tape anyway 👍
@@TiJayFLY Mine will move around as I have tried different routes where I know I'm going to encounter headwinds and it appears to simulate these quite well as per my recent KSEA to RJTT flight of 11 hours and commencing with some ground gusting it rapidly reached 96kts headwind until moderating to 37kts at FL 400. I would see variation of .85 down to .82 in some instances with consequent autothrottle adjustments along the way. Excellent video!
Can you do a tutorial on how to fly in aerofly fs 4 *like the basics of switching cameras etc*
It comes with a manual doesn’t it? 😄
@@TiJayFLY oh it does? I don’t know since I don’t have a Mac or any type of computer to play it
@@Ayden2008 I have no idea about the mobile version, but I’m almost certain the PC sim (the one I use) either has an included pdf or documentation on the website
I must also say that Inibuilds Mitsubishi MU-2 is very lacklustre and that was the 7th entry into the Famous Flyer series, the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries MU-2. For a price of USD $14.99, and built by iniBuilds, it has also still NOT been updated as promised and as such was very disappointing as was the A 310-300. Both have poorer external textures than this A 380.
The tod does work and will follow constraints
Yup, that’s what I said. I just noted that it’s sometimes unreliable, which it is…
@@TiJayFLY I haven't had a problem with it
@@dirtycasper everyone’s mileage will vary depending on route, airport etc - that’s why I’m not making a recommendation either way as individual experiences are very inconsistent with this airplane.
I know people who have huge issues, I know people who have none etc, and personally I have some as seen in this video.
@@TiJayFLY The flight model is rather sensitive to head or crosswinds. Any decent tailwinds and it's quite happy however it struggles with high speed variable head or crosswinds.
Great review. I am a die hard a380 fan but I would never purchase this. The front view doesn’t even look like an a380 (the windows) and the exterior model is just really horrible.
It’s a shame the default A320neo is so bad, these addons (this and LVFR) would be decent if the default was better.
That’s what they’re trying to address with the new default iniBuilds a320, but it’s not going well right now.
They did at least fix the default Boeings thanks to Working Title.
@@TiJayFLY yes but would the ini systems carry over?
@@TiJayFLY btw I haven’t heard if the AAU2 updates also fixed Captain Sim’s aircraft.
@@JoeDFWAviation as long as the third party developer chose to use them, yes
@@JoeDFWAviation it didn’t - CS didn’t integrate the new WT systems and are still using the legacy Asobo crap
Watch Fast Times Vero videos on this aircraft and so many other aspects of MSFS 2020 for Xbox. He is a hater and has posted HUNDREDS of defamatory and slanderous videos attacking devs, MIcrosoft, Asobo and other channels on UA-cam.
Just stay away from anything BREDOK3D
