Daniel is so attractive holy shit.

Who thought he was Rudy Huxtable boyfriend now older.
+martyca6 truuuuuu
Daniel Kaluuya speaks at these times stamps:
1:25 - 2:16 reaction to being offered the part
4:36 - 5:41 being black in a white environment
7:33 - 8:05 motivation for taking the part
11:13 - 13:08 making Chris relatable

19:08 - 21:07 knowledge of Allison before Get Out
21:35 - 23:02 awkward interracial dating situation
26:28 - 28:25 feelings towards the movie as an audience member
I noticed some comments about him being interrupted a lot so I hope this helps.
Walter Thank you !
Walter thank you 😊
I could listen to Daniel Speak ALL DAY! HE is so fine!
Ughhh cringing at how Allison keep hogging the mic.. 😬😩
LET DANIEL TALK.
I dont think he's a big talker personally. She mentioned he was a private person
she does that in every interview...
i think she played that character well for a reason...shes good
she also seems like she has ADHD, im the same way but i have learned throughout life to hold back
Charlotte she should be a good taker
Allison Williams is not the main character of this movie... so why is she answering questions like she is? Daniel Kaluuya is the star, and he is a STAR- i hope he gets the recognition he deserves.
She was the co-lead, and she was ALREADY a star (due to the "Girls" series) when she got offered the role. Why would she be a 'shy, demure, reluctant-to-speak wallflower' in this setting?
it was the coolest thing watching this in a white suburban movie theater. I was a little iffy about how the audience would react but by the end everyone was cheering the protagonist on. it felt very communal and gave me a little hope, for sure.
derm gal I wonder why though. Like, did the audience really understand what the movie was about, like not just on surface level but the deeper meaning behind everything??
it's hard to say, but at the very least it's kind of refreshing? for white ppl to root on a black character in such a racially charged movie
derm gal not for me I was in the white part of town and the only people who got the jokes were the other older black folks and at the end everyone was quiet except you know US black peoples 😂
@@simonesherron7921 um it's a movie theater...normal people don't cheer for anyone. normal people are quiet. deep down, no sane person would root for anyone but the black person, but that doesn't mean you have to ruin the movie for everyone by rooting out loud.
She. Keeps. Cutting. Him. Off. In. Every. Single. Interview.
It is so disturbing! And proving stereotypes about white liberals. It's like she's trying to translate for him. Let the beautiful black British man speak!!
I don't see her cutting him off that much...
I think they have great repertoire
Dylan y’all need to damn relax yo iré always seeing what she’s doing and taking THE SMALLES things to shit on her
She talks a lot, but she isn’t interrupting him.
Wow. Interesting how Williams stops Kaluuya at 27:14 because she becomes really uncomfortable with his answer about his feelings on racism. She completely disrupted something really important he was saying to the woman who asked the question...and put her discomfort on the woman with the questions...wow.
I know, right? It shows a lack of basic etiquette.
She's still in character...lol!
I know. I was like "why is she interrupting??"
she agreed with him and he still finished his point. she just made a quick joke calm the fuck down
Karen M she interrupted because she still doesn't get it. EVEN after making the movie.
Why is she always in the first seat? She'd a supporting character, he is the protagonist.
Meg Dunphy she's an attractive white girl let's not be naïve
Meg, I wondered the same thing.
In most of the interview layouts I've seen, it puts Kaluuya closer to the camera and therefore he's more noticeable to the audience.
What you just said is both fascinating and defining. Why is she in the first seat??? Hmmmm I think that question is more an answer than a question. And more about YOU than HER.
Cause she is white and he is black
"I'm good at listening and learning" *constantly interrupts him in every single interview* UGH GIRL HOW DID YOU NOT LEARN AFTER THAT MOVIE
I disagree I don't see where she was rude or interrupted him at all. It looked like any other interview to me.
I'm sure most of you now know Daniel blew up and is popular now after this movie...but I first saw him in an episode of Black Mirror which is on Netflix, you want to see where his acting shines, watch that episode.
Monale Alemika .. I was surprised when he lashed out on stage, that was amazing lol
I first saw him as Posh Kenneth in Skins.
Actors choose what roles they want to play, and usually its a role they can relate to so naturally he will ACT like himself :)
recycledone holy shit I didn't realise that was him
Dre Dre yeah. i think it was 15 million merits. He was amazing.
#LetDanielTalk
😂😂😂😂😂
Ima white dude and I saw the movie yesterday, I absolutely loved it.
My favorite movie I've seen in a long time besides John Wick 2. I suggest everyone see the movie, it's a really intricate thriller, Jordan Peele did a great job writing this.
there an obvious disconnect in this world...that's the reason for the movie, right...telling him to take it easy when he's explaining to an audience member, his experience, is just another tangible, real life example of that disconnect
"Yo have you seen this basketball game"
"bro I'm English I don't care about basketball I watch football bro"
Best thing I've ever heard
Inittttt it made me so happy being from London
allison needs to understand that her role was important in the movie, but daniel that is the beauty of it all! stop trying out out shine him mz girl lol
I loved this movie because Chris is a great character.
Daniel is so London... :-)
Alison is fascinating. She is so smart. Alison and Daniel, are brilliant together.
This movie is a classic thriller.
Filmmaking, screenwriting 101.
YOO! JORDAN PEELEBURG NEEDS TO REMAKE
BACK TO THE FUTURE FROM A BLACK PERSPECTIVE.
J S That idea is GOLD!
OMG that would be AWESOME!
NO MORE REMAKES
Tinker B it'll be more like a real-make
genius idea
Maybe I'm nitpicking here, but what is with all this attention on Allison as if this is her movie? Look at all of these titles that list her name before Daniel's. Daniel is the star, right? So why does she keep getting center stage? In most cases, there are interviews that have only the leading role featured, but I've yet to see that for Daniel with his movie. It's just Allison constantly being inserted into everything. Even in this interview, she keeps hogging the mic, and at some point, when he talks deeply about racism for a moment, she literally cuts him off saying "go easy". Like...what?
It's almost as if Hollywood said, "yeah, let them make this important topical film, but let's mitigate it by not treating it as important as it is." It's like Chimamanda Ngozi's quote about sexism in America, but this time it's about race:
"You can have ambition, but not too much." That's how it seems people are treating Daniel, Jordan Peele, and this movie.
You are right
A comes before D in the alphabet.
And Daniel was the only one of them to be up for an Oscar for this flick.
I think she is more intelligent and articulate than him and she can convey her thoughts a little better. I've seen interviews with just him and they were a bit blander, so she really sells the movie better in that way. (And yes, she's also very attractive and witty.)
The second fan question actually made tears start to well up in my eyes. I wish Daniel would have gotten to answer it more without being interrupted. I agree with the girl and Daniel the movie made me very sad. The brother who was creepy from jump and Georgina and her breakdown. And then to the end when the cop car showed up I just knew that Chris was going to catch a bullet in his chest. I think I even said aww man that's fucked up now the cops wanna show and it just looked like a bad situation for a black man and I as everyone else knows how black people sometimes feel about police. But I went home feeling guilty and upset that I felt that way. And as a 24 y/o Nanny. I am often in a situation where I'm like what tf am I doing in this big ass house on a private lake with these white kids. When I take them out to play I feel like I'm being watched by the neighbors or just out of place. Idk. I just understood where Daniel was coming from.
And have you ever had some sort of negative experience with the police? I am just curious.
Allison was cast in that role for a reason.........she did a really good job
Damn Allison. You are really acting like your character in which I couldn't stand in the film. Shut up and let Daniel talk!!! I know he's thinking to himself...this heffa will not let me speak. You don't RUN everything.
Chrissy Dionne that's how they are....😮
dont like the way she was trying to hush him up when he got passionate......let him express himself , just because she has no idea how it feels, she felt uncomfortable so she wanted to silence him. it never ends!!!!
Loved this!! Also could listen to Daniel speak all day!!
Daniel Kaluuya is so handsome!!
I just want to hear Daniel talk..the accent is superb
Dang, she talks, and talks and talks...
OMG. She talks too much! I'm glad she thinks she is this person who tries to be open to the human experience, but it's an experience that obviously she has yet to really understand or try to wrap her head around. That's displayed all throughout all the interviews I've seen with both of them so far. I was really rooting for you Allison. She is hearing him speak but she's not listening.
Allison: "I listen more than talk" *cuts the lead majority of the time*
I wish I didn't see the preview of the movie cause it exposes a lot about the movie. It was epic, amazingly done. The actors are just perfect in this movie especially Daniel, he is one of my new favorite actors after watching this movie. His emotions, and every detail he does is so natural and realistic to his situation. I want to buy this is Blue Ray.
"does she have an off-button, its exhausting" 😑
a k Crying 😂
buahahahahahhahaha
No woman do..lol
"go easy"? for real? though how come we can't talk about how racism is personal for us??
'Go easy' she says in response to her own uncomfortability around the conversation between Daniel and the Black lady asking the question who knows EXACTLY what he is saying to her. It was not about Allison and she could not relate so she tried to intervene to recenter things around her again.
Get out is a near perfect film. It's an amazing feat for a first time director to make something so impactful and objectively perfect from a technical standpoint.
Fav movie so far
amazing actors amazing understandings amazing film
She Talks To Damn Much Everytime I Fast Forward Shes The One Talking . Dang Let Him Speak
Wow Daniel a common London boy like me is there in Hollywood
representation matters
28:34 "this bitch really cut me off..."
He had finished talking!
It's weird how Allison has to talk about her character after seeing the movie and knowing the twist. It's like she really has to bullshit a lot so people won't catch on lol
man can she shut up and let Daniel speak without adding her words to his answers....Dang!!!!
she does that in every interview...just like they are calling him the co star...again this is yet another layer of what this movie was ABOUT
i think they are both brilliant young actors and have a bright future in hollywood
For someone who claims she enjoys listening and learning, she talks quite a bit even when it's not her place. Like when the girl was referring to Daniel about the pronunciation his last name. How she gonna 'yes' when it's HIS last name? Wouldn't it make more sense for him to respond than her? Even if she knows whether the pronunciation of the name was right or wrong, why did she feel the need to make that decision when he's sitting right there and perfectly capable of answering himself? This is why black people get upset with white people. They act like they want to learn but when black people try to talk and teach them, they feel the need to talk over them, speak for them or find some way to inject their own thoughts/opinions that then overshadow the black person's thoughts/opinions. If y'all really want to do better white folks, learn when and when not to speak. Sometimes it's better to just shut-up and listen, especially when it comes to topics like racism.
JenLovesBeautyy i think this is why she was chosen to be rose 😂 she's a real rose
She is the [self-proclaimed] whitest white girl for sure, lol
She's that person who likes the sound of their own voice and thinks they have so much more to contribute than everyone else/think they're so funny/want attention so she keeps interrupting, says "yes" constantly when someone else is speaking, is the first one to talk, etc. I bet she always does it but it comes off way more cringeworthy in this context. She thinks she's so aware but she's actually oblivious. I was interested in what he had to say and it was annoying when she did this. I'm 21 minutes in and I've only seen one time where she actually seems to be hearing him.
Edit: Just hit that part. It was the second time she actually seems to be kind of hearing him. Felt like she is uncomfortable with the truth so had to crack a joke, which took away from what he was saying. It was heavy but we need to hear it.
JenLovesBeautyy that's just her personality she talks too much but that's like in every situation
JenLovesBeautyy her character on girls kind of is that way, I think that's why peele reached out to her, very narcissistic and self centered.
Hes right the whole one drop rule in america is weird
It's not weird when it is put into the context of America's history, but outside that context it is stupid
at this point, it no longer applies, tho.
I'm amazed at how you guys don't know that this is still Rose pretending to be an actress and Daniel is Rose's brother in Chris' body. Remember how her brother was always leaning back in chairs? The Armitages are sneaky.
Machiavelli's Prince 😂😂
Machiavelli's Prince 😂😂😂
I LOVED THIS MOVIE!
Sorry but blonde hair doesn't suite her :/
bam9042 Agreed. She stands out more as a brunette.
bam9042 I like it
Allison needs to learn when to take the backseat, she aint the main character, she aint the star of the film, and most importantly, this film isn't ABOUT HER experience. I feel like since its her first feature length film or something she's just overly excited and proud and everything but have some self awareness girl I mean DAMN especially when the movie you worked on is this.
She was the co-star of the movie, tho - her part was almost as big as Daniel's.
@@wylier yeah it's one thing if they shared the spotlight during this interview but she took up all the attention
Love Daniel, period. He is brilliant, extraordinary. Didnt care much for Allison, though she was good at her role too.
Daniel is just there. It's allisons interview she's the protagonist. Not !
I think race is wonderful. If we were all the same, the world would be boring. I embrace interacialism.
I genuinely wanted to hear Daniel speak ✊🏽 it’s so frustrating how he kept getting cut off. I wish the interviewer could’ve made the space more conducive for equal contribution. Damn.
Daniel’s eyes at 4:09 lmaooo
He said "One drop rule" hahahaha
Something about this interview tells me Allison didn't understand that her character was a villain.
Chris Bauer She did, she's trying not to spoil the reveal. Duh.
Carla Marlene S Haha well I forget what convinced me write that so you could very well be right. Maybe she's such a good actor that she convinced me she believed what she was saying? It was just weird that she kept making up motivations that her character didn't actually have, basically lying whole cloth. There's a difference between omission and lying. But maybe she thought if she was too cagey about it people would suspect her character and overcompensated. Idk, it can be made to make sense.
@@janksamillion If she were to only speak the truth, she wouldn't be able to tell you anything about her character's motivations at all. So she speaks the way it appears: In the first half of the movie, she seems like the good girl noticing family's subtle racism, which is also one part of the story.
You can be assured by this clip ua-cam.com/video/2AE0tMvL-aM/v-deo.html that she very much knows.
HAHAHA! "...In America...one drop rule...." I love Kaluuya!
i know those kind of parties. i've been there. for me as an asian american it's usually "sooo what kind of asian are you? korean? chinese?" or omg i love sushi do you like sushi?
man they should of interviewed them separately she want even let the man talk
I find her very unlikeable. She seemed uncomfortable with the questions and kept disrupting him. She feels fake to me.
I agree
Rhiannon C. So perfect for the role she was playing.
I mean, right?? For example, the fact that she wrote off on her own wokeness says a lot. E.g. "I'm already sensitive to the issues on the script, so I caught it easily". Like stfu lol, do you want an award for acknowledging something plenty of black people have fucking talked about for eons? Jfc
I felt that too but maybe why she was a perfect Rose character
I don't see this at all and she is very likable to me.
I like his Reeboks.
I love her dress
Amazing how he went from a British accent to an American accent.
I have to say to the actors and actresses, this was a great movie. I was Intrigued and Fascinated, by the idea and the Execution. The soundtrack and the cinematography 10/10.
Now, as far as this interview I would have to say after reading the comments, I feel as though as a black person as an African American, I kinda wanted to see Allison's point of view being a white actress in this type of film I actually would like to hear the other white actors point of view on the whole thing as well. just from the standpoint of taking a job like this. I mean where you know when it comes out that It could ruin your career. Putting someone's self in the hot seat is a true test for one's character. you don't know how many times I have seen an actor playing a role, whether good or bad, and actually put a real feeling of dislike towards the real person... I feel as though we need to be actually open to having conversations...
and the fact that this movie speaks to the "black" experience, not just African Americans but all people of color. Many of us have been in that very same party scene where you feel like "I know they meant well but, dam that's awkward"... It's true she does talk over him repeatedly, I don't have a problem with that.. Cause I can see her passion for what she is speaking on. I also feel as though maybe they had an understanding of these interviews before time. if you pay attention to the energy in the room he felt uncomfortable and I felt it too.... she was trying to bridge the gap...a great actress and this tale is as much a story about the black experience but that doesn't exclude everyone else from having their own Interpretations of that experience. you can not say here "watch this film about us." but don't say anything too crazy, she may be "woke" to whatever Degree she can be "woke" but I guess it doesn't matter at all cause mostly everybody else is sleep anyways. Just saying...
LET DANIEL SPEAK!
I would be so offended to be in a writer's mind to play Rose Armitage! lol
i think i rolled my eyes for a full two minutes at :48 - 52
LOVE YOU DANIEL!!!
I looked him after Black Mirror also.
i dont like this girls vibe (Allison). She seems the need to explain herself more than a person with equality in mind would need to
Daniel could stay quite through out the whole interview and still outshine Allison. hell his poster can outshine her. she needs learn how to let others talk. this could be the interview version of the movie.
Before this movie, black people in a horror movie were the 1st victim to get killed off.
This movie "Get Out" broke the mold and shattered it to pieces, at long last.
He needs his owe interview.
i think the thing with allison is that she tries to hard. iactually like her but i can see the little things that bug people about her. i don't think she means to come off like that and she probably doesn't realise it. i think people are taking her too seriously.
"Give me some FUCKIN credit"
Who's the protagonist when you watch it a second time?
I think Alison was hinting at the crucial role that Rose plays, which becomes more apparent upon second viewing.
at 14:51 Kaluuya perfectly answers that bullshit Samuel L Jackson was spewing about black british actors!
Osy Ikhile Actually that line proved what he was saying....he could connect pretty much through the application of 'class' but not in regards to lineage.
I do think he was great in the role, I didn't feel like he connected until I heard the last comment where he explained his feelings.
My dad works at Google and he didn't bring me to this...
Gwan Kenneth
what's up with daniel's middle finger on the right hand?
Oh snap, he is British!
That damn Allison Williams is super fine!
A girl with mohawk. Nice. What's her name??
Allisons pretentiousness and hypocrisy is extremely irritating
The real scary part is they really seem like a couple they have on screen and real life chemistry like i can see them dating foreal by the way Allison keeps cutting him off she defiantly acts like his gf lol
She is married, tho (and not to Daniel! lol).
Talk at "Google" Not "Bing?" hmmmm
odd shoes!
Daniel talks super fast sometimes and I can't keep up lol
She was looking at him and biting her lip lol but I'm hearing she's married. ..?
ohh man they definitely are feeling each other
OMG he is British. And he can actually act. OMG. haha.
Somebody feed her please!!!! LOL
I can't get beyond Allison's annoying vocal fry.
Some of these comments are a bit extra. It was a great interview and Allison did nothing wrong, so fucking chill.
Racism for dummies
Yellow - I hate blue people
Blue - why ?
Yellow - Because I'm taught too
Blue - What did we do to your people ?
Yellow - We captured you guys from Africa and made you slaves against your own will , and now you guys are still here and won't leave , and it pisses me off
Blue - Still don't see what we did wrong
No Allison, this is not about you 🙄
It is, at least partially. Why was she offered the chance to be interviewed to begin with? Why did they whittle it down to two actors, with her one of them?
How is it going to look different the seond time
Myllamome you'll see
You've seen it twice?
Myllamome yup
Myllamome I think they mean you'll pick up on the little things but imo I knew what was happening the whole time the only thing that was a surprise to me was who the maid and the landscaper really were
Allison's behaviour is so inappropriate that I have a hard time watching these interviews.
Allison should do toothpaste commercials.
is the host a girl or a guy
