Oh ya and they are both in Black Panther so were once colleagues too so they probably hang out as much as they can especially after the fact. Trevor only did voice over work for the movie so they probably didn't interact much or at all then but it seems being in the same business they must be in the same circles all around.
You can tell how relaxed daniel is here with Trevor as opposed to the other press interviews he’s done. They really seem like genuine friends. Love these kinds of interviews
I remember watching Daniel in Black Mirror and thinking, "This man is the real deal. He is a star." So glad that the world has grown to recognize his abilities. 👏
It's cool to see Daniel so animated after his very quiet, serious character in NOPE. A glimpse at the real person reminds you how much goes into their performance of a character. So cool!
Daniel and Keke are so amazing together. She's fire and he's earth and the two compliment each other so well. I hope they work together on another project!
Love them together, two very soulful, genuine, intelligent and purposeful African Bruthas. Praying for their continued success on their terms. Great smiles and seamless chemistry!
It was so accurate and too funny to see them both demonstrate how a Nigerian would have responded🤣🤣 Ugandan and South African brothers making jest of their Nigerian brother🤣😂😂
I am not a horror movie person and I couldn't get my grown kids to go with me to see *NOPE* so I just bought tickets to contribute to the gross. Eventually, I'll see it at home, on DVD, with all the lights on. 🤣😂
No, see it in an iMax theater. It was filmed in iMax format. It wasn’t that kind of scary. I don’t do scary myself but I want to AMC and watched alone. It’s more thought provoking than scary but yeah kids wouldn’t get the movie. You would have to explain it to them. The movie gets an A from me.
"it's cooking. It's still cooking!!" As an African, That line right there is the most relatable and realistic thing ever.🤣 African parents taking offense to something is a lifetime ordeal fr.🤣🤣🤣 Much love & respect from Ghana. Love you Trevor🍷
I don't know how to explain it but there is a certain way Trevor glows when he is speaking to another African. It's like he feels a sense of brotherhood.
I'm blown away by how incredibly genuine and intentional Daniel Kaluuya is in both his work and navigating his personal life. It's evident even in the way he tries to process how his presence on Instagram should be. An absolute icon and role model.
I remember this guy being that awkward teenage rookie agent to Rowan Atkinson's Johnny English back in the day. It's been amazing to see him go to this level of stardom.
The #BlackBoyJoy, heartfelt hug at the beginning was EVERYTHING for me‼️🥰 Love to see grown Black men comfortably showing authentic, brotherly affection👏🏽 And GREAT interview, per usual✅️
@@gontsemolelekeng3190 I can't speak for LaDonna, but I will say as a Black American myself I can understand why she would say envious. Many of us Black Americans would love to have the kind of connection to the motherland that Daniel and Trevor have. They know where their roots are, where their ancestors originated. Even if they immigrate to England, the US, or elsewhere, they still have that sense of home and belonging. I know many Black Americans don't care and some even try to distance themselves from anything African. But plenty of us who are ADOS would love to have that kind of connection to our ancestors and our roots. For me, it's more a sense of melancholy than envy. Watching Daniel in interviews always highlights what a great actor he is. He's always so warm and jovial when he speaks to Trevor. He exhibits such a peaceful, joyful spirit.
This is one of the BEST interviews! Pure joy and fun! I saw "Get Out" and loved it! I didn't have to close my eyes, except for the one part. I haven't watched "Us" yet. But I want to. I really want to see "Nope." Jordan Peele is so brilliant!
I'm so glad you raise that with the whole acceptance speech at the Oscars that was comedy gold. Surprised he's the only one who asked him that question
I think Trevor's the only one who asked coz he's African and knows what kind of response he'd get from his African mom too. Americans don't think much of it coz it's probably not such a thing for them.
This is the most engaged in a conversation I've seen Daniel, also there's a guy at my school here in Zambia that looks exactly like Daniel, I was shocked the first time I saw him and I asked if anyone ever thought he was Daniel, he said yes at least 5 ppl each day.
I like Daniel so much! He is such a real person who is also an extremely talented actor! His genuine humility is so evident! I hope he never loses who he is because he is absolutely wonderful!
