My .17 HMR has had 8000 plus rounds put thru it since purchased. It shoots well enough to kill sparrows at 75 to 100+ yards. Miss one in three. Also I've not had it not group well even after 30 rounds. After it shoots 100 rounds I clean it and it usually takes ten rounds to get back in line. I've got the sweetseventeen variable scope with good accurate elevations from 50 to 300 yards, way more than usable of 200 yards. Not sure but I recall it's drop at 200 yards is close to 14 or 18 inches and half a mile at 300. Mo❤st economical varmint gun ever for me. I love the 22-250 and 223's but the cost to shoot 5 rounds compared to 50, the HMR is ....

25 yards!
Do that at one hundred.
I have that upper and it will do about an inch at one hundred. It will heat up and open up as all guns do.
I watched one the other day and at 110 yards and the same gun was shooting 1/2 inch groops I think the problem is the shooter
The action bolt might be to long on the savage or ur scope picatnny screw is to long
Probably u pulling on the mag with your left hand while shooting. Why are you doing this???
Most likely because I’m an amateur and if feels like a bike place to put it.
