Morxplays sometimes you need to hold minions back when you expect a board clear, so that after you can refill quickly. taunts are harder but if you have enough pressure on board you should be ok

Seems that it's pretty easy to build zoo lock in arena. Every warlock I face there, just shits on the board with huge numbers of efficient 1-3 drops. Forbidden Ritual is the only Forbidden spell that's rare quality, which makes it appear quite often.
just played a warlock at 9 wins and he had nefarian on turn 9 following it up with malganis, even though he had so much bullshit in his deck i almost won, had him at 4 hp with 2 7 damage minions on the board yet he topdecked twice with hero power and got a hellfire and a souldblast(the 4damage discard 1 card )
went with a somewhat similar deck. got rekt 1-3 I never drew any of my 3 or 4 of the possessed villager in the games I've lost. All I drew were 4-5 mana cost cards and by turn 4 it's already too late. I saw the potential, but my draws were awful
6:26 renounce is better, i had a good deck that would have got like 4-6 wins if i didnt have renounce to change my gameplay completly when i was losing. got it to 10/3

Seriously though. Midrange Shaman, Zoo Warlock are your best bets while Tempo Warrior, Dragon Warrior, Aggro Shaman and Midrange Hunter are also strong choices.
Felidae Iustus control decks are not that good for grinding because you are going to play a lot of games. after rank 5 you can play a control deck. As a matter if fact if you have the time and don't care about grinding legend you can start playing a control deck now

Zoo Renounce Darkness. Simply go early game and if the game goes beyond turn 6 hit renounce darkness and get better mid and late game cards.
