I think due to all the powerful cards they got earlier, Mage Paladin and Rogue will never be taken out of Top 3 for Arena. Shaman this expansion probably came the closest we'll ever see to that, but just couldn't quite do it.

Mage Rogue and Paladin can keep churning out consistently good decks and their Hero Powers are really good. That last game was really crazy shaman deck, altho he had A LOT of late game minions in it. I mean, A LOT. He could've easily get absolutely rolled over by aggressive opponent openers and unlucky opening hands. He dodged a lot if he got to 10 wins with such heavy control deck. I tend to score more wins by not drawing much (if any) endgame. Especially if i stumble upon some Discover cards that give me endgame when I need it.
That last match, the turning point was when he dropped healbot. If the shaman held onto it and gone for face, he could have slowly pushed Kripp down to lethal.
+unluckygamer69 Ye Mage / Rogue / Paladin are the strongest. Mage has been strong since Vanilla HS, in fact it absolutely ruled Vanilla HS - it was the only "God Tier" class. Paladin became very good in TGT when he got absurdly good class commons such as SoC or Murloc Knight (losing to this one card so many times is one of the saltiest HS experiences I ever had). Rogue has always been decent due to high tempo. Other classes are playable but their consistency is way lower. If you're a good player you can almost always draft 6+ win mage/pala/rogue deck. With other classes it's not that certain.
I just played against a shaman that had like 10 spells and those cancer cards... still won though because i got the agression working on earlier than he could deal with.
+Adonis I had a mage draft with Archmage Antonidas and 6 spells before. Still only got 4 wins. Why? Because the 'best' of those 6 spells was a frost bolt, and most of my other cards sucked too. Just having a few copies of a good card, or a single copy of a great card in my case, is not enough to go 12 - 0 in arena. That's my thoughts, you were the only one to experience your run so only you could truly know what happened.
+theStonerKid69 sure that's true but it does go a long way, I had a 12 win warrior run because i had 3 win axes and 3 zombie chows, and a shaman 12 win run because i had 5 fire elementals. you need some good cards to go with it but as long as you can reliably get a good start or a good mid game you should get 7 wins at least

I think the place paladin has is similar to what it has been the past few expansions--easy to play and easy to get a lot of wins, but in the best hands still not better than mage and rogue. Even in LoE when Paladins had keeper of uldaman bonus, most top players performed better with rogue and mage. I also think that mage is STRONGER this expansion. Not because it got the best cards (it got only one premium card), but because in a slower, big minion-heavy arena, mage has the highest chance of drafting efficient removals and gets a lot of value from its hero power. Every 12 win deck I've had in WOTOG faced only rogues and mages for the last couple of games.

Give the hero power 1/1 totem charge so Shaman's hero power is on par with all the others.
The last game. Kripp thinks the Shaman deck was insane (and it was definitely pretty awesome), yet beats it with an above average Mage deck. #balanced
