Thank you so much for this video. I have made this type of yoghurt in jars twice and has failed miserably each time and split Turns out the temperature was too high and l fermented it too long with the recipe l was using. I will try this recipe tomorrow and see how l go. I even reached out to my consultant and she did not even respond to my query on why it was failing.

Lots of talk around why the preset is 70 in ferment. I was informed that the yoghurt won't be 70 deg by the time the steam reaches it and therefore to leave at 70. Great video as always Lisa. Loved the simmering basket series x

Will this work just as well if I use my own homemade (in the TM) soy milk? I don't eat dairy.

Hello Laura. I have never tried with Soy milk. Maybe google and see how they make it home made? It might just need a thickener of some sort. Sorry I can't help on this one.

If I want the yoghurt in small jars placed in the basket and to be fermented at 40 deg Celcius, what temperature should I set in the fermentation mode? It seems too long for the milk to reach a temperature of 40C. Could you please share your experiences?

If the jars are in the varoma, then the small amount of water in the Thermomix bowl should be set to 70 degrees for the 8-12hrs.

Is there a way to make this without the milk powder? I want to use as little ingredients as possible and not buy these things specially.
