It's not a weird video, it's fantastic with real emotions to an unexpected enjoyment. I can hear it in your voice and that is perfect.
Wow, thank you!
Lovely noise great roads and the sound of a man having great fun , Thanks mate was a classic vid.
Glad you enjoyed it, Thats the main aim : )
Great video ER…Love the sound track & vistas. Schoolboy funtime😂😂
Twose a fun ride : )
They really are a fun bike, loving my Spitfire Scrambler, you can’t help smiling when you’re riding one 😁 great video 👍🏻
Thanks , yes ....So much fun!! I'm envious you have one...good on ya : )
Loved the look of these at NEC, so stylistic. Only seen one on the road. Way beyond my purchase ability, so thanks for taking us for a ride. Soundtrack exhilerating. Looks a doddle to clean
O yes cleaning....rose tinited specs off.....O dear.....who cares 😂
Seems like it has some juice. Motorcycles like these are a different kind of fun than what you normally find and for that reason I find them worthwhile. If you can have more than one motorcycle in your garage these type of bikes are absolutely great to have. Sounds like you had a great time!
I did, I think you would have enjoyed that one. I think CCM have a presence in the U.S but very spread out. Hope your enjoying the Monkey...they are so much fun and easy to pullout and just "go"
That looked awesome fun, it was great to hear you laughing
Glad you enjoyed it, as you can tell , I did as well lol
Excellent review, love your enthusiasm while riding the CCM, I’ve just booked a test ride for the 29th of July on the Maverick on the strength of your video so if the boss (wife) let’s me I’ll have a new bike for winter. Thanks for the review
Thanks, Let me know how you get on and what you think : )
All the CCM’s are so pretty, we had a Spitfire Stealth 6 in the wolf tales studio a little while ago and that thing was packing with character and individuality 🤘
CCM’s are not perfect, but they don’t try to me, and that’s what I think I like about them, they’re old fashioned, hand built in the UK, they give you a sense of pride I felt to be on one.
In my opinion it’s definitely not a bike for commuting or touring or anything like that, they are your Sunday blast to the cafe, the hill tops for a photo etc, you said it yourself, they are special bikes 🤘
“Weeeee” it’s so nice to hear you enjoying the bike so much mate, I’m thrilled you had such a great time 🤘
The owner of the spitfire was telling me that CCM’s after sale and servicing team were really great as well, really caring for their customers and their bikes 🤘
Great video mate, great ride, really enjoyed this 🤘
Amazing, awesome, fantastic, you managed to get accross exactly what it feels like to have the best bike ride.
Felt every second of that with you and loved it..
Those bikes are truly something special, both in looks and design and I'm sure feel very individual.
I've only viewed them at shows and not had a chance to ride one yet 😕
Well done buddy, brill video, and subbed the @chunkbeardedbiker too 👍
Thanks a ton! Phil, it must be done mate...for some reason I thought you had a go on one...but if not then yes do it. The Foggy one is up for sale, winky wink : ) It will complete you 😂
@exeterrider 🤣🤣 it may complete me but the Mrs would end me 🤣🤣
@@wsmv 🤣🤣
It is a beautiful work of art and have seen them in the flesh at bike shows and they a real head turner. Great review 👍
Couldn't agree more! Thanks : )
Having fun is the name of the game.
Wonderful video and I like your enthusiasm.
A work of art though???
As they say, art is subjective.😊
So true, thanks yes, it was a fun ride 😁👍💯
Excellent 😊 you should as giddy as I do when I ride a bike 😊 sounds like I need to try one 😊 thanks ER 😊
You should! Its quite an experiance...I think you would enjoy it. Thanks TAYM : )
Couldn't control your enthusiasm there ER, must be an exceptional bike😀
I love it! You would too I reckon...How lucky was I with the lead rider as well! he didnt hang about.
Oh, this was great to hear you enjoying yourself so much.😅 I think light bikes give you so much fun to chuck around and this has power too. If the missus doesnt fancy it, I'd ride round Dartmoor on the back of that all day long. I'm already on with Chunky Bearded Biker. Thanks for a brilliant video ER.😊
Thanks Lilly, it could be a date...not much chance of wifey getting on board with me lol...Thanks for watching
@@exeterrider 😂 I don't scare easy. Coffee in Chagford 😁
I have a Maverick Infinity Edition; it is a hoot. Love it. Proper motorcycle.
It certainly is, I get on really well with those bikes : )
I left my camera on photo mode once, so I feel your pain 😂 That white and green one at minute 1:26 is stunning. Mr Car Driver didn't like being overtaken by bikes. Sounds like you were having the time of your life. I'd definitely have one in my bike collection if I won the lottery.
Audi so not surprising. I bet you could fling one of these around in a lane on an Epic Adventure. You would enjoy it.
Don't have to ask if you enjoyed yourself! 😂.
Those are some REALLY cool looking bikes!! I would take almost any one of them. Tough and classy at the same time.
Sorry I've been absent lately. Not going to lie, I've been slacking off of UA-cam pretty bad over the past month.
Trying to get myself back in gear.
Great video Exeter!!
No bother pal. Are you OK. Got the UA-cam blues again?
Of you rant to come in on a live again to give you a booster then let me know 👍
Great video mate and a proper bike with a pillion seat , Spielberg has nothing to fear from your editing skills ............
I couldn't agree more😂😂
Great enthusiastic review mate!
Ps. Although some of ‘em have a dual seat, I’ve yet to see one with pillion footpegs!
Ohh yes good point! Such a chrasmatic ride. Great fun😊👍
I want one, it is right up my street 👍😊
O yes , it would be, have a go and give it the Beans...: )
Seems like you had shit loads of fun😂😂😂. That CCM brought out the best in you😁
Ha, thanks mate yes, I felt devil horns growing out me head. 😈😂👍👍
@@exeterrider I bet👍👍👍
Forgot to say, that was a fantastic route. Proper long run. And I loved all the carbon on it.
Yes perfect route
That's a beautiful looking and sounding bike (British too ✌️🤙🤟) I'd buy one in a heartbeat if I had the money 😊
You and me both!
Simple, grass-roots motorcycling. You don’t need a big, powerful bike to have fun.
Couldn't agree more!
It's great to hear you so enthused by a bike you didn't expect to like. Still you have to question why a bike of this size and weight doesn't corner and brake with perfection. Surely these are the areas where such a bike should indeed Excell.
My bike was basic. I wonder what a ccm with Brembos fitted etc 🤔👍
Cornering on enduro tyres on a Maverick.
Liked the vid. I’ve often wondered what it’s like to ride a ccm. Pity about the start of your vid Mr Exeter. Any chance of doing it again with facts and figures of the bike?
Nice one though.
Cheers.
Yes it was...This was only a ride...I would like to think I will be able to get a loaner for a few weeks at some point to give it the E.R treatment....fingers crossed mate!
ONE can get a ticket for time lapsed ? very glad to see some one making bikes like this and your getting smiles per mile . There was a Spitfire for sale near us , so stopped off for a look and even her in doors said it is a work of art , quick thinking ,I replied ,I will put it in the lounge if you add it to your cleaning routine ? .😉 and an eye in a sling for a week .
Ha! it was worth a try...Yes they are something totally different!
Somebody was have an awful lot of fun. Great laugh 🙂 I love the CCM’s, always have. Doubt I’d have one but who knows.
Wooooo! Weeeeee 🤣🤣🤣
It was a lot of fun. Not sure why I kept banging on about handling....when making vids I want to cover things but then forget what i was saying, then forget I have already mentioned it. You would enjoy that.

I took out my neighbours 2019 Flat Tracker… great fun. Ok, it’s not the quickest but that’s not the point of it…. They’re really a case of enjoy the ride and the character.
100%👍
If you ever find yourself up Sussex/ Surrey / Kent way give me a shout and we’ll get some bikes to joint review
I have a 2006 CCM flat tracker which I got from new. The core bike is excellent, handles superbly, is reliable, excellent fun to ride, and superb brakes. But some of the sundries are a bit hit and miss, the clocks are rubbish (sometimes the work and sometimes they don't) the lights break ( due to the vibration I suspect). But if they have fixed these issues on the new bikes they should be excellent.
I would recommend getting one.
You do have to like big singles though or the vibrations will annoy you eventually.
Yes the electronics were a bit ify,,,but this was a ride rather than review...I would certinly like to get one to review though!!
Wow You enjoyed that bike! Didn't you? Im not suprised, I love the character and style of the spitfire! I must try one out one day! Cheers
Hello me ole mate, hope all is well....Yes if you get the chance to have a play....go for it. : )
yeah, I'm all good, thanks. Didn't see you at bideford this year?!
If I'm ever in the market for a 2nd bike, this will definitely be on the shortlist!
@@markbroom5152 Yeah bit same old for me at the show TBH mate, I have 4 loaners to film as well so its a lot to do around everything else as well....maybe next year....
Yeah that's fair enough, I get what you mean yeah!
Got the bikes coming in thick and fast then...? Great stuff! Look forward to seeing what you got coming up! 👍
I've never heard you so animated and giddy 😂😂😂
I was in full E.R mode noob, I left my filter at home.
Enjoyed that loved your enthusiasm and the fact you really did enjoy yourself and that’s the beautiful thing about two wheels for sure 👌 as for ccm I love there designs and there concept of what there motorcycles should be but and it’s a big but for me ,what they cost and the fact that they are a sva tested bike for me they are so overpriced for a British assembled bike , I think when they start building a euro compliant bike and they actually put the testing into place that there bike’s definitely need we will see great motorcycles from another British brand 👌
fingers crossed on that one buddy...I agree : )
Check you out with your British sunshine! Looked a great route and the appropriate weather for this bike. When I took one out it was mucky!
I did feel for you noob when you took yours out...A sunny day makes a massive difference to the ride and video for sure......Its always like this in Devon although we did have rain for an hour in March 1992.
@@exeterrider 🤣🤣🤣 you forget I was there for the Social Bags 2022 🌧️🌧️🌧️
@@NooBiker ahh yes 2022 not 92 your right
I take it you enjoyed it then 😂
I really LOVE CCM.I love the design and the quality bespoke looking touches they put on their bikes. Unfortunately they were UK only for many years, although I believe that they were looking into selling to mainland Europe but Brexit has probably put a stop to that plan. Such a shame. I would have almost certainly bought a Spitfire if they had been available here.
Great to see a company doing something different and unlike some other more exclusive brands ( mentioning no names ! ) they've been around for a long time and I would trust them with my money.
Congratulations CCM. Never stop being different !
So Exmouth, when will you be ordering yours ? What a cracking sunny weekend ride that would be ! If you were tempted by the Classic 500, I think that CCM should be right up your alley. What a cracking looking toy that would be but maybe not the best daily bike. I wouldn't want to get it dirty either, I already struggle with the state Norman gets into 😂🤷♂.
Thanks for a very entertaining review. Just work a bit on hiding your enthusiasm a bit 😂 No don't, it was great hearing just how much fun you were having !
Cheers matey, love from France, got a baguette in the oven, gotta fly !
ER.
P.S. I like the timestamps. Lots of "Weeeee !"s in there !
Ha sure is, what a fun ride!
As a Norman bike the CCM would be amazing , such character and just everything a bike should be. Wonderful stuff!
I'm sure you would enjoy it...such a shame the world is wrapped up in red tape making it so difficult for CCM and alike...that being said , they seem to break down the walls and keep at it.
Thanks E.R Hopfully in time they will get some dealers in France and you will be able to get one.
@@exeterrider To be honest Exmouth, I’d even be prepared to travel to Spain to get one ! 🥰
I look forward to when you finally get yours and I can own one vicariously 😉
Cheers matey 👍 Weeeeeeee !

@@economicalrides El outro to you both 😎👍
I want one based just on your Mario noises 💯❤️
😂👍
@@exeterrider been toying with the idea for ages, have a long distance bike. A fun one and want a little b road blaster, no abs or antilock. Just joy, honestly your video was just perfect. Definitely getting one later in the year, a bobber.
Just realised where you started from, the wife and I were at Union Road Moto Velo for bike night last Thursday
I'm hoping to rock up to one of there bike nights sometime...keep an eye out for me : )
@@exeterrider yep will do,lucky you didn't lose the bike in one of them potholes😂
I am not 100% convinced by the looks of it but I love light, nimble thumpers ;)
fair enough mate, I bet you would enjoy the ride though : )
@@exeterrider I'm sure I would
Thanks for the fantastic video. Had to subscribe. This bike looks amazing. Would the seat height be okay for shorter riders? I love bikes that look different and this is one of them.
even if you are on tip-toes or only able to get one foot down the light weight of the bike will be helpful.
WaltG is right, they are so light it should be fine, I was just flat footing and have a 30 inch inside leg, I hope to do a proper review on one sometime hopfully.
@@exeterrider thanks. I have a Honda rebel at the moment so nice low ride bit I love the look and thump of these.
If you want something special, CCM is a good choice 👍🍻
Got to get one.. bet price are going up?
Not sure, I want one too
I should absolutely love a CCM and a few decades ago I was sorely tempted but there’s 2 elephants in the room. In the third decade of the 21st century not having ABS is unforgivable. TVR used to claim to have it diluted the experience but they simply didn’t have the money to do it. And there’s the second Jumbo. They’ve been building these same basic designs for many years so I worry about their future. Shame as I should absolutely love them. Might try at the ABR to change my mind😉
I'll see you there, not long now. You make a good point, they have looked the same for many years now. I advise trying one, it's good fun 👍🍻
@@exeterrider I’m sure I would love them😊 definitely see you there. We’ll be in our van enjoying the lap of luxury😊
I own 3 thumpers now. Fantic 500 scrambler came first, then a Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 and now a little Yamaha 250 Serrow. I don’t know why they are such fun, maybe it’s the light weight, or the low power, maybe because they are far easier to manage on little lanes and towns, but whatever it is, they are addictive.
Thats really cool. I like your garage a lot!
@nokianlift. Man after my own heart! I also have a Caballero 500 Flat Track (kinda a poor man’s CCM!) Great fun little bike, so light after my previous GS. I also have a Yamaha WR250R. I am v. old now and have no desire to do any long bike trips, I just like a nice ride out in nice weather. These li’l’ thumpers are so lightweight and easy to live with.
Thinking of selling them both and getting a CCM…. lots on eBay now that winter’s coming.
@@longjonwhite CCMs are lovely things, I did look at them but very expensive new. See if you can find a used bargain.
It's a good-looking bike with character. I'll have one if I can afford one. Maybe I should stop buying chips & save my money for a ccm.
Ive never seen a chip in North Devon....your cutting back on the ham at least. Pig population has quadupled in Devon.
Thanks again.
Love the look of CCMs and saw them at the NEC.
Its a good experience mate for sure
They make beautiful bikes, Carol fancies trying one if she gets chance. They all look too small for a hulk like me.
I think you may be OK, they are quite tall. Is be intrested what you think of it. I'm sure you would both enjoy it 👍
Well i sub your channel and left a like too 😀
Ps: Did Njoy the video alot 😀
That's great thanks William, appreciate that.... It was alot of fun 👍🙏🙂
Hi, good video as usual, I was just looking at your Black Widow exhaust change, and I noticed that your headlight looks like an led? Is that stock, is it an upgrade? If so could you please tell me about it? I have the 2015 model, and it has a halogen headlight bulb, but I think it could do with an upgrade. Long live the ‘Fonze! 😎🏍😀👍
Yes my LED light is stok, but they only started making them from 2016 onwards.
Thanks for that ER, just watched your visit to Teignmouth bike night, looks good, shame the cafe was shut! Their loss! Cheers. 😎🏍👍😀
I think I'll try and find an szr 660.
😉👍
Settle down, settle down! Think he enjoyed it! 🤣🤣
I'm not sure if that came across on camera or not📸😂👍
@@exeterrider I was worried for your sanity at some points! 🤣
@@daviddavies5347 yes it was a bit of a "tasty" ride which isn't normally my style but it's good to keep the skills up🍻👍
@@exeterrider I lack skills but I’d have one. If I had a step ladder! 🤣
Off out before it gets too warm! Don’t like the heat! 🙄🤣
I very much like the look of the maverick, It's more 'me' than most modern bikes. Its a shame about the price, it's always been the achilles heel of CCM but you cant have handbuilt quality for the price of chinese mass produced.
Yeap, I was learning a bit about the process making the bikes....The goverment give no help whatso ever with keeping bikes being made in the UK. Taxed left right and centre not to mention the huge over heads they have to deal with..Hope your well Ken, have a good week.
i'm dreaming of an r100 and watching this
I see what you mean there!
When you say it's handling is a bit vague, isn't that because it's an offroader? Looks great though.
I think I over cooked that. Infact it's fine, I was brainwashed by another ccm owner I met who said that but infact I didn't find it as bad as what he said at all, even if I did mention it a few times!
Ahhh, I know that cafe in Crediton well.
Is a nice place isnt it : )
@exeter rider Tis, and if you carry on the A377 or B3220, they are both great fun roads to ride.
@@sailingdevonscoast Yeap, one of the best roads in the UK
mate have you heard of a clutch!
Yes I used it unless I was pushing on in which case, rev match and shift🤔. Skills👍🍻
You were smitten by the CCM, ER.
I'm not sure what the make of the latest engine is but I believe they've used engines from various manufacturers in the past.
I'm not keen on the looks but the biggest downer in my opinion is the price. There is also the 'unfinished' look in places like the empty front brake calliper holder.
It was fun Jim, to my knowledge they are Husqvarna engines now...I like some of the looks of the bikes but prefer the mudguard type with the pillion seats. The price is up there but then again in this day and age and price of other bikes, I don't feel its too far out.
Thanks for watching, I reckon you would have enjoyed that ride.
I think they have used Rotax, Suzuki and BMW engines previously and I believe there is an option to order a second disc and calliper for the front end.
@@Walt_G Brembos I think which would be a worthy upgrade for sure, the Juan ones I had were just OK.
Who manufacturers the single 600cc engine for CCM?
Husqvanna
I had never heard of the motor manufacturer CCM. I assumed it was Chinese company, especially with the CCM name.
I had to look it up on Wiki and did not realise they were British and produce a lot of motorbikes for the military.
Yes, they have been around since the 70s I think. Wonderful to see that we still have a british motorcycle manufacture. GO CCM : )
Looks good fun. I'd rather have a Husqvarna 701SM.
I'd be happy with either!
Not the best looking bikes ER but me thinks you fancy one 😉it looks fun ride but too pricey for my taste. You would get an Interceptor and a Scram for the price of one of them virtually .😁👌👍
Yeap swings and roundabouts . good fun though....yeap! Thanks for watching mate
Imagine how good this would be with a v-twin engine, and better handling and braking, then go and buy a KTM instead or a used Aprilia Tuono.
I like the single though tbh, I don't think I'd change it for a Vtwin 👍🍻
I don't understand why they aren't better handlers. Did CCM intentionally make them that way? Why on earth would they do that?
Thing is, and my point really is they may not handle well compared to other bikes of this caliber but they make up for that in character. I wouldn't change it.
@@exeterrider Cheers! Other brands do it too, perhaps for safety, but I think a better handling bike is a safer bike, and, more fun. I remember your CB300R, I had one too at the time. I now have a Vitpilen 401.
bike can't be that bad if you giggle so much ;;;
I think it showed how much I liked it 😁👍
Seems like i am the only one who thinks they look awful unfinished, and no mudguards at all would not consider it.
Fair enough Frank.... Yes I refer a mudguard I must admit.... Mine had one and a pillion seat 💺🤣
