My favorite part of the video is Nico and Kevin doing their best dad dance moves while trying to keep up with the perfectly synchronized choreography of Su, Momo and Moa.
Thanks from Japan 有難う💛. You may have a chance to witness this collaboration live in GRASPOP on June 20. I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 in Japan. Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. There were many mosh / circle pits over there 😄. On Day-1, the girls and Nico / Kevin hugged each other (and group hug) to celebrate the success of the live debut (heartwarming!!) ★ The official live video was posted in UA-cam !! The song was played in the BABYMETAL's setlist in the festival. So the band in the back of the girls and Nico / Kevin was BM's West Kami Band in place of EC band that played in this MV. On this 50:50 collaboration basis, that was great, too. The interchangeability between the two versatile bands is good. Now the 3 girls and 2 boys are doing this song with EC band in EC shows and with Kami Band in BM shows, in two ways, in some European festivals 💛。
Yes, Nico and Kevin looked really cool, but did you notice BabyMetal do that amazing power pose at Rock am ring at the beginning of the song, which looked even cooler 😁 🤘🏼🦊
This song is amazing & great collaboration, i never see all member of baby metal singing together, i'm so hype listening this song and the breakdown so sick for me i love this song so fucking much yeah 👏🤘🔥🔥
I described it as "a double-barreled shotgun blast of endorphins". You can really feel the various charms of Babymetal in this; the comedic-yet-totally-thunderous Electric Callboy never disappoint.
BM's svengali Kobametal is a metalhead himself, calling the bands he grew up with (1980s-1990s + Japa-Mata) "Shred Metal" in Japanese. However, he was inspired anew during the Y2K decade by the new breed of younger hybrid-genre bands (especially Attack! Attack! & the likes of crabcore which were hated by metal gatekeepers), enough to proclaim traditional metal was too old, & wanting to create his own blueprint (which turned out to be BM). BM then spent the 2010s playing foreign music festivals, supporting legacy acts but also networking with these up-&-rising bands (Dragonforce, Bring Me the Horizon, Sabaton, Polyphia, Arch Enemy, Bad Omens, Sleep Token), many of whom would become their good friends/defenders, music collaborators, or playing gigs together. Koba is apparently also an early fan of Electric Cowboy (then Eskimo Cowboy) who was doing electronicore (but not yet their distinctive 'partycore' of today). Electronicore is known as pikorimo ピコリーモ in Japan, & BM would actually start out with several pikorimo-laced, junvenile-themed, obviously poppier songs (like Megitsune, line!, Uki Uki Midnight, Yava!) during their early to mid teens. Their first collaborator (Kiba of Akiba) was also pikorimo. Forward to 2023. BM (BabyKlok tour) & EC (Tekkno World Tour) happened to be traversing the American Northeast at the same time last year. On Sept 13 (BM's free day between their Philly & Boston dates), Koba & the BM girls were filmed at the side balcony next to the stage as they watched EC perform at Boston's Big Night Live concert hall. That's when they finally met each other in person, although EC would subsequently be very coy about a possible collaboration while Koba is infamously strict about non-disclosures. As recent as May 1, the EC vocalists were teasing during a German red-carpet interview about doing something "uncharted", already having a "killer instrumental", with a non-European band who "dances better than us". Everyone who saw that Instagram video were responding "Babymetal?" in unison. 2 weeks later, the official MV trailer was released.
Just dropping by to say hello. It was a given the song would be awesome and it is. Thank you, Electric Callboy, for putting a big smile on our girl's faces 💓
Rumor is Babymetal went to one of the EC Shows during their US Tour and loved it. From their it develop "online". You get an inside of the process when watching "EC reacts to reaction Video".
I mean it's not really rumor when we have picture of babymetal being at the Electric Callboy show and then we also have Nico and Kevin from EC telling us that babymetal were there and they first met then:D
Not really a rumour, with th exception that Koba knew Electric Callboy and they knew that Koba wanted them Suit Up. This was an official visit as you can be and you don't need much more They decided the basic details and then they called their Back Offices. Both Groups had busy tour schedules. It is not a love affair. You only look if your Back Office tells you, they need your input. I would guess both officed got worried about the point how dangerous is the amount of Sex. For a real Idol group this would have been an issue. But Babymetal left their Idol Status years before. They would not have needed such a lengthy dancers qualification process if they were an idol group. And they are all adults. It was only the image and for this the disco theme wss sufficient enough.
There is an interview with Babymetal at Rock am Ring, where they officially confirm it. They explain that they met in Boston and discussed their collaboration for the first time there. Afterwards they stayed and watched and partied the whole Electric Callboy show.
This collab idea started when Baby Metal meet Electric Callboy on their US tour and now we have this awesome video and song with what probably is going to be the best song of 2024.
BabyMetal meet at EC show in Boston when BabyMetal was on North American part of world tour . If this is the result, the foxgod works in mysterious ways . Fun collaboration of 2024 just what everyone needs 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Things everyone misses, most of the Ratata’s are done by Babymetal throughout the song and Momo does the second “are you ready” as well the “every body” growls/scream
It's great to see Babymetal having fun again. It's been rough for them since 2018. The Kami Band guitarist Mikio passed away and Yui Mizuno left the group for medical reasons. Then there was a global pandemic and they weren't able to perform.
Cocktail - F**k YES man i listen EC since they brought Hypa Hypa and i always never really knew what to do with them but Cocktail nails it. I mean Metall bands are like beer - all produced differently but taste a bit the same - but EC is a Cocktail - stands out - but the collab with babymetal made it a coctail with 40 vol
There is only one phrase to describe and thats embarrasment of riches. This is one of their weaker ones because they didnt combine 2 very different styles. They are good in everything they do, not top tier, but good and the difference comes from them mastering everything they touch and picking the right guys(or in this case girls) for a colab. They just kno perfectly what they can do and what they need and its just a joy.
Both groups are specialists in mixing, so we had no douts if it would mix, it was more a question of where they would finally meet. They don't need to follow trends, they set trends. This was obviously quite a problem at the video shoot. Nico and Kevin were totally declassified by these tiny girls and their huge stage personas. You stand them together and you see three tough girls and their stupid male sidekicks. They were schooled in Sakura Gakuin how do I look good in a photo. A lot of the whole idol business is fake it till you make it. But Amuse was certain that a lot of their Idols would make it. And the usual, they are not Cowboy, they are Electric Callboys! So you would nevet say Baby Callboy. But you would totally understand if a Backoffice in Germany saw a potential showstopper. But when both sides knew what they were doing they totally incorporated these elements like cocktails into the video. Not by accident.
My favorite part of the video is Nico and Kevin doing their best dad dance moves while trying to keep up with the perfectly synchronized choreography of Su, Momo and Moa.
What if two guys from the village disco enter the cyber night club ))
Did you realize how cool Nico and Kevin turned aroud at the end?
I understood that reference
🤣
legends says is not able to turn right, but the left turn is amazing
nice reference bro
I love the dedication, every time I see it on a reaction video I giggle.
Love that you got to this AR. Has been giving me so much joy watching it and watching reactors love it as well.

The song and collab of the year. Did you saw how cool were the girls striking a pose near the end?😏
🦊🤘🐭
Dont forget about how cool Nico and Kevin looked when they turned around 👀
Love how Kevin and Nico have started doing the turn when doing it live.
Yes, Nico and Kevin looked really cool, but did you notice BabyMetal do that amazing power pose at Rock am ring at the beginning of the song, which looked even cooler 😁

3:26 the second "are you ready" is Momoko and it amazes me every time I hear it. This is a great song!
Sure!
and the two everybody is momometal
Oh, you did BABYMETAL reaction; good, very good, ratatata - thanks Anthony.
This is my new favorite music video. I can't stop watching it. It's Cuteness meets Craziness, and it's absolute perfection.
I find myself watching this video at least 20 times a day not to mention all the reaction videos I watch every day.
@@lancegrabner8966 Yikes! 😱😱
The Blade rave scene is one of my favorite scenes in a movie ever. 🥰😊
And those two bands really go well together! ❤
They just released an official live video for this song.

@@ksbrst2010 Man can you just shut the f*ck up and stop rambling this incoherent nonsense in pretty much every single babymetal reaction video?

WOW! The Turn That Kevin Made On The End!
It is a cardinal sin that these two haven't combined to make a third, new band. Glorious.

You mean Momo?
@@Kcgrade095 Yeah, I figured that out.
