Shabriri’s not immune to it’s effects, the frenzied flame is all consuming, the only thing it spares is the Lord of Frenzied flame’s body to act as kindling for the flame (soul’s cooked tho.) so even shabriri’ll get burnt, probably the best way to go for him tho.
@@thebigenchilada678 you say that but most frenzied flame related enemies and bosses have immunity. Midra is immune, the festering fingerprint version (invader version but not the goal version) of Vyke is immune etc.etc. So nice take but isn't borne out by the game mechanics.
@@JimIBobIJones 99% of the enemies in Elden ring are immune to frenzy. Shabriri is an npc, npcs have beefed up player stats but are otherwise affected by every status, even red vyke. If you wanted a gameplay explanation there you go, lore wise, almost nobody’s immune to the flame of frenzy save for it’s lord.

For real. In my playthrough, they weren't even an issue because I was on my parry heavy setup. I didn't know everyone else had such a hard time with them until I went online

Fromsoft enemy design: make it as bullshit as possible. Constant madness build up into stun, followed by instakill grab attack. Textbook glass cannon, though. Once that thing goes up against someone that constantly wails on it, it can't do anything except pray it can proc madness.

I remember finding these enemies for the first time (on my frenzy character funny enough) i tried to frenzy burst to see how tanky it was did zero damage and then got jumpscared to death by one off screen. Scariest moment of my life
you break its invincibility by parrying it once, but imagine you do so little damage to it that you would need to stagger it to still have a fair fight (being under leveled)

Honestly gonna give Patches and Vyke the win during their match. If Patches simply attacked with his spear instead of using that breath move, he could've won that. The same goes for Vyke. Had he used his spear instead using his Lightning incantation, he couldve won that. On another note, Shabriri being killed by madness is honestly so ironic ("May chaos take the world"). The Devs should've at least given him resistance against madness-like damage and immunity to madness-like effects. Regardless, he deserves a loss because of his use of his incantations rather than simply attacking with his katana.

Why do some NPCs do like way, way, way less damage per swing? Like Blackguard swings for 250 and Istvan swings for 69, with a curved greatsword.
