free tip: you can also build veeery similar sounds with Cubase onboard plugins Padshop, Retrologue etc. + Arp FX - and then you save this 400 euros. ;)
I am glad you published this. I am a happy EW composer cloud client, I am always surprised that so many people look down at EW product .... I don't know why. Their products are great. Recordings are state of the art, Space is a superb Reverb, not even talking about Hollywood Brass FHs ! Keep up the good work Dom! We love you.
Thanks Stephane! Same here!Been an Eastwest fan since I started working with sample libraries over 20 years ago - their stuff is top notch always ! I have two SSDs dedicated to EW libraries :)
Wow! This is insane! What a cool instrument. I love that it’s more than a library of synth patches…it’s real sound design with a modern context. Even with the presets there’s enough customization that even us mere mortals can create a vast array of music that is totally unique. Thanks for another excellent review, Dom…and good to see you in your happy place! 😉
this is the coolest synth i have seen yet!!! holy moley! sound like it would all be so cool to use as the start of a track and then a big drum track kicks in.
I really love this one. Stand-alone price is expensive, considering that it is basically just a tweakable sample player. You cannot adjust the parameters or customize modulation very much, compared to full-on synths like Kilohearts Phase Plant or Arturia Pigments - my two favourites, both of which I bought on sale for a combined cost of less than Forbidden Planet. I haven’t gotten around to learning how to program Phase Plant and Pigments yet, but judging from the presets, it is likely possible to build something very close to any of the patches in Forbidden Planet. However, I don’t want to. Many of those patches sound wonderful and were designed to fill specific functional roles in science fiction compositions that borrow from classic movies and TV, with sounds from classic synthesizers. What I lose in customizability, I gain in a rich, well laid-out toolkit with lots of great, usable sounds out of the box.
Incredible instrument bro. Serious ear candy. Love your channel and your passion for music. Can seriously relate to that. Gives me a real stranger things feel and juno 106 vibe as well. Stunning bro
About to re-watch the entire video momentarily, but you mentioned to make ourselves known. Been trying to figure out some of the complexities of how it's all done with what I have available at my disposal. The entire Stranger Things OST is a banger, and it has a lot to teach.
It's a cool plugin, but the price is almost disrespectful. You can get a lot more for the price out there, including presets and features. Plus it's EastWest, so I'm afraid my computer will break after installing it.
Really impressive! I love the sounds and stuff. So much Jean Mitchell Jarre in one video haha. In my opinion tho, if you have like an analog synth with pedals and processors you can get a much better sound
Hey man! Glad you like the sounds! Well, it depends, if you have a massive collection of synths and you are willing to sample and you have the time and knowledge to do such intricate sound design, then you’re a happy person to begin with 👾😀
@@DomSigalas it's not really that complicated most of these synths come with sounds like that, but what I actually meant was not to sample synths but to make music with them
@@LeChapeauMusic some of the sounds in this instrument are super complex and multilayered. You can’t recreate them easily with a single synth, that was my point ;) you can make music even with a simple Yamaha PSR which I did when I was starting out when I was 8 years old! :) it’s not about the gear it’s about the creativity and skills. But we’ll crafted presets always gave me inspiration to write songs which is what makes them so necessary :)
I wanted to like this, but I hate it (and I don’t hate many things). It’s one of the least inspiring instruments I’ve ever played. The browser is awful. It’s difficult to read and glitchy. Finding and sampling sounds requires too many mouse clicks or key presses. Sounds don’t always load when selected. Too many of the sounds lack diversity and feel like different variations of the same thing. They grow boring and uninspiring very quickly (just my opinion here). It’s an absolute pig. It weighs in at over 60gb and I have absolutely no idea why. It sounds no better than Omnisphere, and Omnisphere is far more diverse (and has more options). I shouldn’t complain. I spent a month or so with the trial, so I didn’t spend money on it. I’m sure many of you will disagree with me, and that’s ok :)

Love this one...buying it ASAP! BTW - Your passion (and facial expressions) are an asset to your brand Dom! Always awakens my love for music!
Thank you Bill! I can't help it hahaha!

Glad you enjoyed Jeff! Good sounds are my food ❤️

Oh man, this sounds incredible! Together with a wavestate, one could get lost for months in cinematic soundscapes…

So happy you liked it Marco!
I would really like to see a video where you make a track with this library, anyway thanks for the video

Love it! Took a while to download/install, but it's worth the wait. The sounds are quite inspiring!
Have fun my friend ❤️
As a Stranger Things fan, I really love these sounds!
Lovely stuff!! 🙏😎
Amazing!
Sounds great Dom….. still exploring at this end….. it’s a fabulous collection of sounds…..:-)
Hey John! it’s good right? Have fun and hope to catch up soon!
@@DomSigalas I did a library project that was Stranger Things inspired a couple of years back. I can feel another one coming on now.... 🙂
Really really nice😁💪🎵
Your videos are really beneficial ❤️🌻
Love from nepal❤️ 🇳🇵
Brother can we do surround mix on cubase in our sterio head phones ?
I am very curious about it😁❤️
A complete rework of the Blade Runner album by Vangelis Papathanasiou would be magnificent with this anthology. wow!
Awesome
Glad you like it Ants!
DOM, I believe you've only scratched the surface of this add-on by EW. I'd like to see reviews from you of more EW add-ons.
Dom 😍
@18:50 LOL CHEEKY!!!!
Never thought I'd hear Bach on a synth 😅😅
as always east west make really incredible products.. at incredible prices also may be. lol
Really great sounds! However, I rarely buy new plugins anymore and try to stick to what I already have 🙂
Totally fine that is! Glad you enjoyed Olav!
What is it that you play around 9:18? I swear I've heard that before but can't place it....
Right??? I think it's Artax's death in the Never Ending Story
It’s Albinoni’s Adagio for Strings ! many artists have made renditions of it including Malmsteen ;)
I recognize it from the 1975 movie Rollerball starring James Caan.
9:18 sounds like when Artax died
Ce părere aveți despre Korg Oasys ?
Cubase is the best but we ben request left click to add nots and delete please add this function 🙏
Icarus suite???
Yes and no :) Adagio for Strings: Albinoni :)
Can this be Demo?

Please update firmware 4.0 Yamaha Montage . Please update Pack Premium Firmware Yamaha Genos . Thanks
Hey my friend! I am not making any decisions for the Yamaha firmware I’m afraid. Out of curiosity what would you want from firmware 4.0?

Just feel what ever this one can do, serum or other plugins can do much much better than it
