  • OrangeTheory studios need to do this twice a month. make sure to do it when the belt is cold or 30 min after use. keep the speed at 1mph for 1 min. If you go fast friction will remove impregnated wax

    Thanks for this tip. I just got a treadmill that had been stored in a very dusty area and was trying to figure out how to keep from having to pull the belt off to clean it.

    Worked like a charm except I used a thinner swaddling blanket for a baby because my treadmill is brand new and the belt is incredibly tight. The debris literally sounded like sandpaper it was terrible but now it’s good to go! Thanks again!

    Hello, i have a Pro Form PF 3.6, never had problems, but about 6 months ago i thought i should take better care of it and bought silicone to lubricate the walking belt. Since then... the problem started and after 20 minutes of use it starts with that burning smell. I realized today that this model does not require lub and the brand does not recommend it. So my question is how can i clean this, hoping it will be ok again. What you do in this video would it be enough ? Thanks!

    I have fine debris (not dust) that accumulates under near the front and behind the back of our treadmill. Thoughts on the cause?
    I have done the towel cleaning and lubricated under the belt.

      a lot of time users think feet are on side rails during a brake, when I fact their ankles are facing in and the belt rubs on the sole like sand paper. inspect tennis shoe soles of all user kids etc....could also be something placed close....or deck slightly rubbing belts

      single best thing you can do. keep speed 1mph.....anything more is bad

    Aren't you removing a whole bunch or silicone oil or wax, between the belt and deck? Going to cause belt slipping and grabbing.
    So it would be a good idea doing a lube after that.

      During freemotion technician training, they advised that it is important to do this at the low 1mph speed for only a minute as not to build up heat by friction and possibly remove the wax. Also be sure to do this after the unit has been unused for 30 minutes.

      @@TheFitFixer I think the belt was too tight and it kind of fried it, it was working a little at first with the towel then it just stopped, now it still works thank God but only on 2 speed and higher, it's cool I'm getting a better work out now, lol thanks anyway

    Treadmill belt surface is very slippery. I have cleaned the surface. but each time after cleaning surface within 10 minutes it is very slippery again. I have notice there are (pin holes in the belt) allowing lifespan treadmill belt lube to seep thought. I only use the recommended maintenance amount of lube. Lifespan treadmill TR4000i 12 months old.

      call lifespan and see if belt has a warranty replacement. if not. purchase a new belt and replace

    1x question. yesterday my treadmill started smoking. now I lubricated it under the tread, reset the screen - oil - and cleaned the engine if there was dust in the front. do I need to do something extra? is it safe will it no longer smoke? thank you

    It seems like running a towel on the bottom of the belt would me you needed to lube it again(more). True?

    • @TheFitFixer
      @TheFitFixer  Рік тому

      no, per manufacturer training. using a towel on a cold belt, at .5 to 1mph for 1 min removes dust not wax

    I have a treadmill that slows down after 10-20mins. I got it a year ago and between 2 other ppl that use it, it only happens to me. I’m also the biggest between the three.

      @TheFitFixer  Рік тому

      When that happens put your feet on the side rails does it go back to speed? Are you in a program that is preprogammed to reduce speed at that time?
