This time format is very good for Nepo. His style is playing fast and putting the time pressure on his opponent instead. I figure that the rest of the candidates will be giving him more problems in the rest of the rounds once they adapt as well. Was a draw, but still a very entertaining game Hikaru!
Also helps that nepo is the only one who has played this style in any serious games since the last candidates. Strange that all other major tournaments run different time formats to the world championship but it creates situations like this which are fun to watch.
Id imagine maintaining the intensity is already hard enough with games every day, but now it would be harder still after heartbreaks like this. Try to keep your head up my dude, you got this.

Hikaru, Thank you for your thoughts. Probably most patzers (everyone who isn't a Super Grandmaster) wouldn't even conceive of some moves like the missed Nh4 move that supposedly leads to a clear win, it's interesting that a less obvious move by almost everyone is well within your list of candidate moves but that you simply evaluated the move less than the move chosen. Goes to show what the gulf is between Super Grandmasters and even other titled players. Some day it would be really useful for a Super Grandmaster to document his thought processes, if it's too invasive during one's active career it would be extremely useful both as practical instruction and scientific study to hone the process of pruning decision trees (notwithstanding other prior efforts like "Think like a Grandmaster").
The funny thing is, while commentating magnus said "we will see a very quick knight d4 here" and after he looks on the position for a few more seconds he says "orrrr wait a minute, can he go knight d2 and be very tricky" and proceeds to calculate everything with the engine.
