It seems i stumbled across the right channel that actually makes cube critics as opposed to just "it doesn't feel good" or "it depends on your preferences"
It’s impressive that the Tornado V3 is still holding its own against the latest 2024 cubes! The Tornado V3, especially with its advanced magnetic technology and customizable features, has clearly set a high standard in the speedcubing community
One more issue, older batches of tornado v3 had core stripping problem I had a tornado v3 Standard which kinda just exploded on me however this is fixed now
Been with my faithful V3 for a year now and, in that time, have gone from 27 seconds to sub-15. I would recommend it to anyone, but do agree with the stability. However, it's worth noting that this issue only started around sub-17. If I'm not turning quite accurately, I get the exact same corner twist when inserting an f2l-pair into the front right. That being said, it is my baby... but change is good... I'm going to order a new one soon. RIP
About what you said at 5:14, the tornado can still cut 45 at setting 3 for center travel and 3 for spring compression, where it is very stable, I’m not sure what settings you use but I do not find any problems with stability
Cool video! I am a pretty new cuber, and the tornado V3 pioneer was my first non-budget cube. I just got the non-maglev v10, so these are really the only two high quality vibes I have experience with! Fun to see them compared. Something about the V10 makes it so satisfying to turn, I think it’s the auto-alignment. It feels “glassy” to me somehow. The biggest difference at the end of the day is noise I think. They are both amazing cubes and I prefer the V10 as a matter of individual preference, but it is way noisier than the tornado. I can’t solve the V10 anywhere other than home really for this reason
Here are some issues with the wrm v10 if u want to know and how to fix: - Broke core -How to fix:glue it again- How to prevent: take pieces out carefully at the loosest setting or remove tensioning system to take pieces out - Tweaking magnets -How to fix: take pieces out and glue the magnets back -How to prevent: After recieve the cube, take apart all the pieces and glue them with magnet using super glue
the tornado v3 sometimes loses core magnets i don't know how but I found out why mine was locking up on my red side when I opened it and it had a lose core magnet
Guys, please tell me, I have a Tornado Pioneer and it’s a very quiet cube that I really like, but it doesn’t have UV. I'm looking to buy a Tornado V3 with UV - might this version be louder than the regular version?
A very good comparition, i’m thinking about changing my RS3M V5 ball core MagLev for the Weilong V10 20 magnets Ball core Springs, do you think it’s worth it?
Yes.i think maglev is too fast and spring is probably the better choice. Also ofcourse the Wrm is a flagship and will perform better than the non flagship
I don't like the new moyu adjustment system, I have a wrm v10, I'd think that with 8 tension settings at least one of them would be loose enough to corner cut well. But on the loosest setting it cant even corner cut 45 degrees. If it just had a screw then there would be infinite tensioning options.
Ive used the tornado v3 flagship and it is a great cube with great turning and it fits great in my hands however for me the durability is the problem. The caps broke and it cannot be put together again.
hey UK CUBER, I guess few people have already said their v10 broke within few days of the cube release, so which cube do you suggest in that budget,as v3 have also broke and even dayan guhong, I am really confused on choosing the best cube
For me the weilong v10 is better than the tornado v3 as the performance is bout the same or even better but It does lack costomizable magnets and has quite weak ones but thats a price Im willing to pay. I love these comparison videos very high quality and understandable ❤❤❤
I personally like matte/frosted cubes better and I wish MoYu would do like GAN and offer their flagship in ether finish. I had to buy 2 V9 cubes to make a matte finish V9 ball core.
Tornado V3 is good but because I'm a slower cuber, it does lock up quite a bit, but it's the same thing with the GAN 12 maglev, so I'm gonna get the Weilong V10.
I have a v10 and a Gan 12 my friend has a tornado v3 so ive had experience with the top 3 flagships i do find the v10 to be the most stable out of the three cubes, i prefer the tornado tensioning system, and then I think the gan 12 feels the best out of the 3
One thing that makes the tornado v3 problematic is its interior faulty design. The inner parts of that cube makes it so that after some time (not even passing a month or two) the cube would just randomly explode exposing the core and breaking one of the stems connecting to the core and corner pieces. This already happened to me once and whilst I find the Tornado v3 the best speedcube to have, the random outburst makes me think otherwise. (I know it entirely depends on how you use it but for me, I have a very rough turning style and optimizes speed as much as possible). Currently planning on getting the WRM v10 though, this reviews seems promising. Anyways, nice review!
Interesting comparison. But I think you should include "construction quality" or "estimated longevity" as a criterion. You would have to disassemble and inspect the internals to judge this. I don't want to buy a marginally better cube if it will fail in a month's time.
Thanks for letting us know the V10 is so Clacky. I was considering getting one, but I don’t like clacky sounding cubes. I prefer a quieter, smoother cube.
(Disclaimer I'm not a native speaker sorry if i caused a seizure) I would say tornado wins attention the detail not just because primary internals but the overall design choices (those that doesn't effect the performance) are much much better than moyus. It's just beautiful to look and some are even functional. Like the holes inside tornado that holds the lubes to last longer and spread evenly in time. They both bring new tensioning and this is α really big deal for moyu but optimisticly tornado does that much much better. Overall I think tornado is superior in nearly every design choice (not speaking of choices that effect performance). And the strongest reason for me is all the tornados piece caps can be opened (edges and corners) and still don't come off when its dropped. But moyu pieces... you think they would be a lot sturdier because well they aren't design to come off. But that's not the case. I don't know if all the moyu cubes are like this or not. I have rs3v5 and wrm v10. They both have a broken corner and anytime I dropped them one of the corners split and fly away. I haven't seen anyone talk about the durability of cubes. My tornado is 9 months old or something. I broke the core one time cleaning but learn that the core can be taken apart too so I fixed it (and some other minor issues but nothing permanently). I cant explain the quality of internal design tornado has. But it has flaws too like if its corner twists, sometimes it changes yor edge magnet settings. Onto the performance. I think performance is really subjective. Both of them are the greatest performing cubes (for me) but it doesn't means they are performing same. V10 is a really stable cube its fast its forgiving its stable magnet strengths good. If someone says its performance is better than tornados I would really respect that. On the other hand setup of v10 is really hard. I cant get it to fit my turning style (again it happened on the rs3mv5 too). Tornados flexibility just fitted my turning style better. and the settings can change the cube allot in α good way (I mean literally becomes like another cube) So yes v10 is a good price for performance cube. But I think tornado just affors much more in the same price range Not just good performance but unique design and durability (or im just unlucky) Maybe I am biased by the bad experiences I had with moyu but idk
@@UK_Cuber you know what after thinking deeper i think the tv3 is better lmao nah but on a more serious note, this battle is pretty much all personal preference, so your opinion is as valid as mine. say i put corner cutting higher than stability, its just that we have different turning styles, so we want different things from a cube
