I'm a black man that grew up in the ghetto of the Bronx. And since being introduced to Jimi Hendrix and the rolling Stones my life has never been the same long live rock and roll

I'm from Paripe, second most black neighborhood from Salvador (most black city outside from Africa), Bahia, Brazil. Brazilian music is very strong here, rockers, there are only a few, but Rock n Roll is forever in my life. Stones, Who, Led, Red Hot, Eagles, Thin Lizzy, Aerosmith. Rock n Roll is eternal. Changed my life.

I'm a white dude from the UK. I hate to think what my life would be without blues music and all the great rock music it inspired. Thank fuck for black culture, and that includes jazz, literature etc. Thank fuck for African culture, the root of the blues and the source of all humanity. And thank fuck for Jimi Hendrix, whose music and poetry has been my constant and awe inspiring companion for 40 years

NOTHING says rock and roll like Keith and Mick together at the mic in the 69/72 era. I love Zeppelin, Free, Faces, but from Beggars to Exile, the Stones were, in my view, unsurpassed, unbeatable, unbelievable.

No band on Earth in history could do what these five men did...they could pour the anger, impudence, recklessness, passion and chaos of their fiercely independent selves into the boiling cauldron of a recording session, and yet from that chaos would come forth stunning compositions, unreproducible by other mere mortal men. This song is one of those potions, an elixir so strong, so unique, so passionate and so sublime, it could only have been created by those five rough, ragged, soul-filled, irreplaceable wizards from London. Simply brilliant, chaps. And thank you.

This sounds better than the record. The first time that I saw the Rolling Stones was in 1975 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. I went to three Rolling Stones concerts that week. The first one was the best with Mick on some type of trapeze rope that he used to fly over the crowd, no less than 75-100 feet or more over the crowd without any tether. He had his foot in a loop of the rope. If he had fallen, he'd be likely to survive. It was exciting & scary. It looked dangerous as hell. He never repeated that act again in the next two shows. My guess is that he wasn't allowed because of the danger to himself and the crowd. I read years later in a biography of Mick Jagger how his father made Mick & his brother Chris exercise for one hour every day before they could go to hang out with their friends. Obviously, that had a huge impact on his staying in great shape throughout his entire career, and having the temerity to that trapeze rope stunt. . The Rolling Stones live is a great experience, especially in 1976, although the sound improved greatly by the 1990s. The last time I saw them was in 2019 in New Jersey, and the audience sang along with the Stones on every song.
