I had an old stereo with a double tape deck and speakers. This album came on 2 cassettes. It was essentially the only record I listened to for 2 years. Every album side is great.

Total magic song. I heard that Keith wrote the song, but Mick had no idea what it was about and didn't really care for it much. I think knowing that, versus hearing the sheer passion in his performance serves as a testament to the dedication he has put into everything he has done.
Certainly the greatest song The Stones ever recorded and comes pretty damn close to qualifying as te greatest rock song ever recorded. Everybody who participated in bringing this to life is working at the very top of their game. Exhilarating magic.
This song remember me a time when i was a student, leaving my family and living in a 9 meter square room ... after studying i was having a cigarett and looking by the window, around 23 pm, enjoying this music so much and feeling good. I was so young, 21 years old ! I'm now 31 and i feel like it was a 100 years ago ... Thanks mick and his friends for all !!! i never felt that good than during this period

Bought exile when it first came out and still listen to it. The vinyl record's stored away, but the CD is much used. Love so much of the Stones, but this song soars.

Dont forget Let it Bleed. These three albums set a bar on rock music that no-one else reached or probably ever will. Its funny that the three main characters were all heavily into drugs at the time too. (Richards Taylor and Jagger)
When you think it took an entire year to write the whole album,most of the time they were getting high during the day.Too many people going in and out of the house,very late in the evening was when they got together and work over their best album

Backing vocals are top notch, and a great vocal performance by Mick Jagger. Bobby, Jim Price, Ian, Nicky all important figures to exile on Main Street. Charlie nailing those drums with Bill’s recognizable bass playing
