    I bought this same hitch as a novelty, I had to buy some adapters and I used it, WOW!!! it worked from day 1 on all my implements, my toughest one was my box blade, it's easy now, I don't know how to be without a quick attach anymore. Great video.

  • @MrHirstwood

    The top hook on the quick hitch should go on the lower pin/bushing directly below the one you are using on the tiller. Then you don't have to remove the pins in the quick hitch each time you hook up and unhook it. Just back up, lift your hitch, and flip the levers. Most quick hitch implements have a setup similar to that so they can be used either way. Nice setup you have, thanks for posting.

    • @tractortotrail
      @tractortotrail  2 роки тому

      I know and I tried it but the hook I have doesn't fit not enough clearance. You are right it would be simpler; but, still not much work. Thanks for the comments.

      I can't believe everyone doesn't have one. I switch out my tiller, mower and box blade pretty frequently and can't imagine having to get tools and stuff all going to do it. My neighbor has all the same stuff I have without the quick attach and would you believe that he asks me to do things for him because he can't be bothered to switch implements? The funny thing: He says he doesn't need one and likes it better his way.

    • @tractortotrail
      @tractortotrail  3 роки тому

      No when you get it at rural king the shaft they supply is made for that tiller and fit perfect with my quick hitch. The hitch sets it back a couple more inches than it would be, if it was straight hooked to 3 pt.

  • @charlescoker7752
    @charlescoker7752 3 роки тому

    How deep will the tiller till? Are you using wood chips on parts of you garden? Will the tiller make a hard pan like a disk harrow?

    • @tractortotrail
      @tractortotrail  3 роки тому

      I don't till very deep our ground is sand and top soil mix. So it doesn't take but about 8 inches. It's pretty soft almost fluffy when I get it done. The disc would leave it too clumpy for me. We do have a small amount of clay also its sporadic but if I go too deep it definitely mixes in. In this case clumps .some of my blueberry row edges get this way.

    Not clear as to why you came to not using it as designed? Why are you pulling pins? Is that big steel yoke not intended to come up from under and capture the top point? Not picking on you or saying your doing it wrong just wanting to understand?
