I found it while trying to find someone I know and trust who would recommend 1/4 inch line for 4-strokes. i just ran out of the first 10 feet I bought about 3 years ago (tells you how much work I've done in 3 years) but I wasn't crazy about the Gates hose I bought because it was very stiff to work with. Hoping this hose sold by Stens is a bit more flexible. Great to know about the Honda-sized hose as well - I was wondering what the thinner hose was. I do have one thing to add here as the most recent commenter because I saw two comments about Tygon not being any good. Here's what I responded to both of those individuals: Genuine Tygon is the best you can buy for 2-stroke machines, but you have to make sure you're not buying knockoff stuff. Genuine Tygon is imprinted in white lettering on the line and will say Tygon F4040-A as well as the French name of the company, Saint-Gobain. Knockoff line may be described as tygon (lower case) and it may be yellow, but that's about it. Make absolutely sure it has the white lettering as I described it. If you can't see the lettering in the pictures of the product, then move on to the next. I purchase mine from USPlastic but there are other suppliers. It isn't cheap, but it IS the best!
Seems like whenever I need to replace a fuel line on one of my small engines I never have the correct size. Thanks for the information. I also put my collection of hoses in a zip lock bag to help keep them from getting hard over time. I dont use them up as fast as you do. Also, I just wish the color of the hose designated the size, but that would be too easy. Good video.
I think there's like 4 common sizes for lawn and garden category. If it's not the correct diameter for the hole in the tank, it'll leak. Ask me how I know lol

Yea, it should be the 3/16” line. On a lot of Honda equipment they have 1/4” line coming from the tank but 3/16” line coming from the carburetor. I don’t know why they do that. For this I have some plastic hose reducers that are 3/16” on one side and 1/4” on the other. You can get them on eBay.
@@wcjcnc Thanks!I searched online from Honda to ebay listings to parts stores to amazon and beyond looking for the hose size and got nothing til I found your video.Funny how they don't want you to know the size so you can buy it for $2 a foot at an autozone or hardware store so they can sell you an 8 inch length of it for almost $20.Best of luck!It's guys like you making videos like this that make a novice weekend handyman's life so much easier.
I bought some red fuel line the other day and it is extremely tough and hard to cut and work with. Do you have any ideas on this? It seems like it may outlast the typical yellow line.
I can't stand that tygon fuel line or any other line like it. Once you use the chainsaw one season and then drain it and all that good stuff the next season you pull out your saw the line is trash along with the primer bulb. I normally have to replace all that garbage and put a new diaphragm on the needle valve. This gets old there has to be better fuel line than this. I have an old Mac 120 which has had the same neoprene rubber line in it for over 10 years. Give me a break what can I do to resolve the Poulan fuel line issue?

Tygon and other fuel lines just like it, is nothing but garbage. At the most it's good for one year even if you drain all the lines, bulb, and tank. It comes on almost all the products that are mainly made for home use. When replacing it I recommend cleaning the carb and replacing the diaphragm along with the needle valve and seat. A new primer bulb and filter is also recommended. Most top of the line chainsaws like Husqvarna and Still don't use anything but rubber fuel line which can last for many years without any problem. Always ask to make sure exactly what you're buying before you get something that's going to need routine maintenance every season. I recommend draining the fuel out of all products before storing it for later use.
