A lot of great information. One of those videos I have to watch several times. First time I’ve seen that method to energize one.

That’s a good alternative setup for flashing the field on a generator, although the simplest way is to just take that same drill plugged into the generator and manually spin the chuck in reverse.

@@Rein_Ciarfella Yea, I use to do that but turning the drill fast enough can be a pain. Then I tried turning one drill backwards with another drill. I’ve done this every way I can think of and using a battery is just the easiest way I’ve found. My problem is my hands and wrist are pretty wore out from twisting wrenches for 40 years. Lol. Getting old sucks.

I’m 77. My mother always told me, “Rein, don’t ever get old”. Would I listen? 😂
I get your point, so I’ll bookmark this video for that time when I actually have to flash one of these, and if it’s too hard with a drill I’ll be assembling a Warren Copeland Original Generator Flashing Tool! 🙏🔧👍

Good video! When you modify the rpms on a generator, do you need to worry about output voltage and/or frequency?

Yes, the RPM controls the voltage output.
