That’s a good alternative setup for flashing the field on a generator, although the simplest way is to just take that same drill plugged into the generator and manually spin the chuck in reverse.
@@Rein_Ciarfella Yea, I use to do that but turning the drill fast enough can be a pain. Then I tried turning one drill backwards with another drill. I’ve done this every way I can think of and using a battery is just the easiest way I’ve found. My problem is my hands and wrist are pretty wore out from twisting wrenches for 40 years. Lol. Getting old sucks.
@@wcjcnc I’m 77. My mother always told me, “Rein, don’t ever get old”. Would I listen? 😂 I get your point, so I’ll bookmark this video for that time when I actually have to flash one of these, and if it’s too hard with a drill I’ll be assembling a Warren Copeland Original Generator Flashing Tool! 🙏🔧👍
A lot of great information. One of those videos I have to watch several times. First time I’ve seen that method to energize one.
a real good video
Hey, Warren! You forgot “Catch me later!” 😂😉

Good video! When you modify the rpms on a generator, do you need to worry about output voltage and/or frequency?
Yes, the RPM controls the voltage output.
