Evil Power Starz has done some great original series in the last few years with Black Sails, Sparticus, and Da Vinci's Demons to name a few. I'm very happy that is where it the show is getting it's start. I'm guessing by then Starz will get the rights to the old movies and hold a nice marathon before it starts(just a hope lol). I can't imagine this not getting a second season either which is great.

When Sam Raimi jokingly acts as though he's gonna hit Bruce with the bottle and you see Bruce jokingly say "NO No No" and "NO SIR". It really shows their true actor director dynamic in full comedic throttle. I love their career together. Raimi has been torturing Bruce for over thirty years now haha.
My favorite part of this is Lucy Lawless, 'Straight out of the 1950's'. Good stuff, looking forward to her character in this, and I'm not proud to say, I never really watched Zena. My mom watched it though, and she thought it was great.

The Supernatural franchise contacted Bruce Campbell & asked him to do an episode of Supernatural, but Bruce surprisingly turned the offer down. He might of still been in the mindset of not wanting to do anything involving horror because in an interview he said he would never play Ash again in an Evil Dead film. Bruce might not even like the show Supernatural & maybe that's why he did it. That doesn't really make sense to me though because there's a lot of similarities with Supernatural & Ash vs. Evil Dead. One big similarity is that there both horror comedy shows which is very rare for a television show. Supernatural was the first to do it in a televisions series format, but obviously Evil Dead II is the pioneer film in the horror comedy genre. The creator of Supernatural, Eric Kripke definitely has to be influenced by the Evil Dead franchise being that he combined horror & comedy & gave the show an original vibe just like the Evil Dead Franchise did after the first film, The Evil Dead. Like the episode "Bloodlines" which was a pilot, but a Supernatural episode didn't have a Supernatural vibe at all & was a terrible episode. Supernatural & Ash vs. Evil Dead have a lot of similarities, but they have a lot of differences. I like the idea of Sam & Dean Winchester appearing on Ash vs. Evil Dead, but it wouldn't work out because the Supernatural world & the Ash vs. Evil Dead world are too different.
Interesting that the story is set 30 years later. So that means it doesn't hurt the long running Dynamite Comics "Army of Darkness" series. The only person missing, and a must-have, is Sam's brother, Ted. He was in "Evil Dead 2" and "Army of Darkness", so he really needs to be in the series, even more so since he worked alongside Lucy and Bruce on "Xena" as well.

At 25:10 after Bruce gets up and hands Sam money, as he returns to his seat, he bends down and gets something from the floor. It's Lucy's water bottle, that after taking a sip, she earlier placed on the floor. Watch Bruce... he opens the bottle, realizes it's already opened, glances at other bottle on table, looks at Lucy ( he realizes he has Lucy's water bottle) and smiles and takes a big drink. Why do I love this? Because after so many years apart, he doesn't think twice drinking from Lucy's water bottle!
I bought the complete first season a 2dvd set then complete 2nd season also 2 dvd set. That's all ..it was axed after 2 seasons . Amazing gore and comedy..it never let up ! Years later Bruce would star with Jeffrey Donovan as Sam Axe on USA's phenomenal show Burn Notice

Watch Bruce... he opens the bottle, realizes it's already opened, glances at other bottle on table, looks at Lucy ( he realizes he has Lucy's water bottle) and smiles and takes a big drink. Why do I love this? Because after so many years apart, he doesn't think twice drinking from Lucy's water bottle!

I bought the complete first season a 2dvd set then complete 2nd season also 2 dvd set. That's all ..it was axed after 2 seasons . Amazing gore and comedy..it never let up ! Years later Bruce would star with Jeffrey Donovan as Sam Axe on USA's phenomenal show Burn Notice
I just found out the show exists and I'm afraid to even start season 3 knowing it got cancelled, but I will watch it because I like being afraid
Bruce is awesome, and now the i have watched the entire 3 seasons over and over,my opinion this series would of been successful in any decade,I'm glad they did it because i was a fan since day 1 and the was 1991,i remember every kid wanted to be Jean Claude van dam or Rocky or Seagel or Bruce willis,but here i was wanting to be a Demon killer like Ash i remember Army of dead,i watched it 1000 times I'm sure more but yeah i had it dvd and of course lost everything and right now I'm homeless broke hungry sleeping on trains and my loyalty my trust is what gets me but no more thank bruce you keep me going

They should redo or remake season 2 or 3 or just have the current season 2 and 3 as hallucination or just a story and they need to redo season 2 and 3 cause season 1 felt like an evil dead film so nostalgia and more of Sam Raimi film but if they ever continue it Sam raimi needs to att least write the hole show after season 1
