I struggle to believe he ever would’ve been a high school jock. Good looks, healthy physique, but one of the best physical/slapstick performers of the modern age. He’s also intrinsically funny. High school jocks don’t tend to develop such personalities or become friends with quirky kids like Raimi. Campbell was a movie and performing arts geek with one hell of a chin. He does seem to enjoy ripping people though, but surely that’s what they’re there for.

Partly you can chalk that up to his age and him using his years wisely. He was born in 1958 and had a childhood of exploring stupidly dangerous dirt caves. 90% of comedians lack those decades of honing their craft, and most won't have worked in front of a camera for that entire time, or making documentaries with his wife, etc. He is awesome though. Once he made a pass at one of my ex-girlfriends, she said she kind of regretted turning him down because she was with me. I said I kind of regretted it too.
When you get insulted by Bruce Campbell/Ash Williams, you know that your life is complete.

Right. We all know the cliche questions and he has no doubt heard all the questions there are..so its great that he is 'in character' and giving them a bit of Ash in his presentation. That's much more interesting than answering the same question for the 100th time.The audience seem to get it, brilliant Q and A.

Yeah...I'm not so sure about it tbh. I think they all "tolerate" his rants because it's part of the guy's charm and mostly because he's the star and he's the one with the mic. There's really not much they can do about it. Plus these are nerdfest cons. Most of these guys can't hit the air so they just have to take the "abuse" and deal with it. That's why most of them *aren't even trying* to hit him back.
The guy oozes charisma so he knows when to push and when to be polite. I doubt he will say anything like this face to face to someone like Alan Ritchson.
And if we're being honest here... as a Q&A/panel or whatever this was... it was abysmal. The guy spent almost an hour trolling everyone and answered almost no questions. These people probably waste hours in line to be able to get in just to see their idol and ask some questions...only to leave an hour later empty-handed. Funny or not it was pretty awful imho.
as someone with autism i have mad respect for bruce for treating the kid with a disability the same way he’s treating everyone else on this panel. the whole point of this is for him to be mean to the fans, which is what he’s doing. he’s not excluding or babying the kid because he has a disability, which way too many people do. and even more respect to him for recognising that he was uncomfortable and answering his question in full afterwards. i can tell by the way he said “thank you” that answering the question made his day. people need to start treating adults with disabilities like adults. we are not children

@@dallaspayday4673 Well this was back in the AOL days and I found out he had an AOL account. I wrote him and just told him I appreciated his work and what an inspiration he was. I never bothered him again. He responded with a brief message back which I didn't think he'd even respond. He was sarcastic but it made me laugh.

That is nothing compared to what most companies do. I will mention just a few great examples.
When we were kids in 80s and 1st half of 90s Muppets were big and one of the reasons why I learned English too from early age.
LEGO entertained the idea of releasing sets with Muppets themes and we as dumb kids as we were not realizing how LEGOs really stupid and expensive are said yes, the parents said yes because all generations back then loved the Muppets, we begged the companies please do so bring us more Muppets. THEY NEVER REALLY BOTHERED TO GIVE US THAT.
It took LEGO 30+ years to deliver that demand releasing halfbaked minific collection that have zero play value. In the age when most people don't even know wtf Muppets are thanks to Disney cuc-olding and locking away that franchise ever since they obtained the rights of it.
Then there is Capcom aka Crapcom, they built their consumer base with PlayStation then they went full turn on them (us) releasing exclusive games on Sega, that was already fully in a grave, then Nintendo that next to no one in the world cared about. It took Crapcom whopping 15+ years to port a scuffed Remaster of RE1 Remake to other platforms. Not going to bother to mention their other brainless excursions.
Meanwhile the people who asked for this are grown up and 99% quit gaming ages ago ... When we ask something give it due time not 10+ years later when those people are grown up or dead...
Konami killed the Silent Hill franchise too. We the OG fans asked for one things they kept releasing garbage with Silent Hill title in it thinking it will sell, it didn't, basically ended the franchise.
Who ever owned Crash Bandicoot series, same thing, we asked for one thing they keep releasing agenda and gimmick driven bunch of nonsense that have nothing to do with the lore, franchise and lastly games are not even games any more but pathetic cashgrabs and addictions of the weak minded fools who still support this mess ....
As for the new Evil Dead game, it's good as if doesn't exist because one way or another is unplayable and irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

It’s a rare gift to be able to just play with the crowd like that with apparently no overarching agenda or set list.
Bruce is amazing, he just comes on the stage and interacts with the audience and puts on a show that regular comedians work on for a year! He is such an entertainer, he is EXACTLY like Ash Williams...the most lovable asshole alive and people love to get insulted by him! And he's the ONLY guy who gives his fans money! Outstanding!

Campbell is cool. He held that stage for a good time, and only did what he is supposed to do: React to audience questions and reactions as they came. Some of the questions weren't exactly 'in line', and once the flow is set, you can always expect the same from the host

I saw him talk at a book store twice. It was a place they had a little area set up for authors to talk to like ten old ladies every week. the place was packed with comic book guys hanging on his every word. he was hilarious. I was standing by the home theater and photography magazines. great POV. people who didn't know who he was came up to me and asked who he was. they were pissed like "who IS that." I lied and said I don't know. I think he wrote a cook book. for old ladies. then they were pissed at me. true story lol and he stayed to sign every book and say a few words to each fan. the second time he was fashionably late like guns n roses.
I'd rather be an old lady than a comic book guy. F'in Nerd Alert. Nerds are rounded up and herded back to comic book stores where they belong.
