- In Chapter 120 of the Oshi No Ko Manga, Ruby has finally hit her boiling point. It finally happened! We also get to see more of Sarina's backstory and why her parents left her. Then, in the end, something really big happens with Aqua!

Now we'll get to see how much aqua cares about his revenge Ruby is in a very vulnerable state and if aqua truly prioritizes his revenge above All Else he will attempt to manipulate Ruby but if he's willing to let the love for his sister shine through he would just comfort her normally this is a big moment for both Ruby and aqua.
I’d love to see Aqua stand up for his sister and get revenge for her! It will definitely be interesting to see what he decides to do. Turn her into another pawn or help her out so they can work together to take out the Dad. Huge moment coming up!
@@ZephyrRetro you're right there is a third option of them working together to defeat AI's killer I feel like that will happen at some point in the story since they both have the same goal but just don't know what yet I feel like eventually they will you start working together without trying to manipulate each other because they both know they have the same goals unlike now where they don't know they both have the same goals.

Aqua (Gorou) would never want to use Sarina (Ruby), I think it's time to their confession about their past lives.
They never brought the issue up since they were toddlers.
I don't think Aqua truly sees manipulation as a way to get his revenge, otherwise he would have not ended things with Akane the way he did. As much as he tells himself and the audience that he will get his revenge even if that means manipulating everyone he cares about, when it comes to it he will push them away just so that they could be safe
This was quite a shocker. One side is a daughter who loves her mother so much, but her mother never realized it, the other side is Ruby, the daughter whose Ai loved to her dearest...but was lost. That some character development. I hope Aqua can help her you know as Gorou and her big brother.
Because she still has memories of her past life, she felt totally torn. Her mother from her previous life, and her mother in her current life who is dead. She still remembers her previous life, as well as her crush on Dr. Gorou.
She’s gonna be heavily conflicted when she learns Aqua is Dr. Gorou.
I hope the author does justice to Ruby and makes her former mother pay for her sins. She is so heartless that it angers me.
Not heartless just selfish kinda since she didn't want to upset herself but failed to realise how much it would upset sarina
No one can excuse that type of behavior. The husband was more concerned about status than his own child. Marina went along with him, but a true mother's heart should have screamed out the right thing to do. Privilege doesn't excuse bad parenting.
When it comes down to Marina I think two details are important: 1. the father was the driving force to separate her from Sarina 2. Marina's alcoholism might be an expression of her still feeling empty towards this loss of her daughter. In this sense it's kinda ironic that her other children would gift her with alcohol on her birthday (as we saw on the photo she showed to Aqua) as if symbolizing that her new children in itself may have some surrogate function and are stimulating her "like alcohol" but fundamentally they can't heal here depression over Sarina's loss.
Ok wow, what you said about the irony of her children gifting her alcohol was a great catch! Idk if Aka planned that but that would be amazing symbolism. Even with the other children, the pain of losing one still can’t be healed and will still keep coming up.
I think she realized her mistake with Sabrina and wanted to start over, but couldn’t, so she settled for having new kids. But, the kids couldn’t fill the void and she still feels guilty for what she did. If I’m wrong then she is heartless.
Yeah I agree the bad one is the husband. He could support her wife and her children but chose to abandon and brainwash her wife with work to forget their daughter.
I feel like Aqua always had a hint at her identity but didnt pry further. As for the mother it figures, in their head they thought they are doing the right thing to protect their peace but in the process they broke the heart of a small child that had no where to go. It doesnt really matter that she was in pain too at this point does it? Her daughter was in pain too and she failed her.
I think the crow girl is more of a narrator with participating in all this, peraphs certain things MUST happen ( like ruby finding gorous body ) and only then she makes a small participation.
I think he had some suspicion, but I hope it isn’t something like he knew all along cuz that would sorta kill the hype of him realizing it. And yeah, the parents were thinking of their own mental health, but didn’t take into his account how Sarina would feel it seems. Ig the crow girl was breaking the 4th wall a bit too in this chapter seeing as how she was basically telling us the story.
@@ZephyrRetro it getting kinda tiring seeing aqua always a step ahead, him acting like an unfeeling machine or some sort of vigilante robs away the human feeling to his characters and its kinda,, I want to see him suprised tbh. I want him to realise he too wants to live, I want him to understand Ais true wish is more likely not a singular thing but various ones, that includes her children well being and happiness.

And then some people wonder why Ruby became a full on psycho after seeing the doctors Dead body. The doctor was her last stop after AI death, and after finding out that the doctor was also killed by the same person. She became a full on cycle and will do anything for revenge.😢😭💔
Neglect is often not malicious, but it's still cruel. Incredibly cruel. Being involved in someone's life as long everything is just picture perfect and avoiding dealing with any inconvenience just points to not only deep emotional immaturity, but also a lack of unconditional love. In short words the parents are cowards.
I take it that she always hated her father, because she didn’t think about her father once, the entire story focused on the mom. Sure the doctor said parents when he was pissed off they didn’t visit their daughter, but he knows nothing about the family.
Honestly I thought the father was dead or abandoned his family, since the story didn’t bring him in until this chapter. Sure the mom had 2 more kids, but she could have ended up with another man, she did introduce herself flirting with Aqua, and talking about how he might not be interested in a older woman like herself.
Sorry Akane and Kana but this chapter made Ruby my official best girl 😭

I felt my stomach and heart drop like a stone as I read this chapter. It was fantastic with the revelation and emotions and really set the stage for what I think will be quite an intriguing development for the story, be it a final arc or not. Yet again I can't wait for the day when this gets animated as well. If the manga can make me feel that way with this chapter, I can only imagine how the adaptation will elevate this moment . 🔥🔥❤❤😭😭
Yeah, this chapter was a masterpiece from start to finish with the way I could actually feel the pain and hurt building until she finally snapped at the end. And with the way the anime has been adapting the manga so far, it’s gonna be absolutely peak when we get to this point! Aka is really setting us up to see something amazing. 😤🔥

Honestly if i was Marina i would be there for my kid but i would feel empty and hollow like seeing into the abyss. Seeing a love one that will certainly die is horrible but not being there is worse because time is even more limited and you wouldn't know how mysterious life is. I have witnessed people with terminal diseases loose their only loved ones while they were going to visit them and i have also seen terminal patients survive longer than expected. So be there for your family because love is a bond that can unite or separate people.

Ruby is so unlucky in her previous life her mother didn't love her and then she died and in her next life her mother aka ai loved her to the dearest but ai died so in each life she lost the opposite of the other life
For some reason i feel like they won't know about each others past until the end. If not, i am really curious to see how Akasaka-sensei will handle their dynamic afterwards, because while them knowing each other in the past, they lived a whole life together now and have new memories and such, so its really interesting to see how it all will merge and to what kind of relationship it will lead up to.
Yeah, either they learn now or it’s gonna be saved until close to the end. It’ll change their dynamic a bit for sure. It seems like Ruby really respects Aqua in the future interviews we saw too, which I’m guessing that’s after she found out 🤔

It’s been a long time coming guys and we’re finally here. I am REALLY hoping that Aqua doesn’t mess this up since everything is set up so perfectly.
If there’s still any trace of compassion or his old self still in there, Aqua would confront Ruby about it and just give it to her straight. No struggle should be fought alone. Gorou owes his patient that much at least, and himself.

I think they find out and i think that because in the beginning of the mangas chapters, theres the current selfs interviews. In rubys interview, she states that aqua is the one she cares about most. So, i think they find out. Thats my theory😝😝😝

In the flash forward Ruby also returned to 1 bright star instead of 2 dark stars so she is in a way healthier mental state. I don't remember if we ever saw aquas eyes in a fast forward but I could see his eyes somewhat reverting as well when he realizes that there still is someone. I can't wait for next episode. I went from anime-only to manga up to date so damn fast
Yep, she didn’t have the dark stars. Although, we have seen Aqua be able to switch them depending on his mental state. But I do think Ruby will be better at least. Hope you enjoyed the manga so far and now you’re stuck waiting with us XD

Yeah Ruby was shattered when she saw how her mother seemed to move on. She’s prolly the most tragic character so far for me in this story. We’ll see what Aqua does now that he might know the truth

It is hard to justify a mother like that but it all comes down to what she actually felt back when her daughter was dying, died and now that she has children.
Finding happiness after the loss of a first child through a second chance of having a family sounds good.
If this however roots in neglecting your first child and not caring about their passing, there is no sugar coding.
If the mothers actual story is not knowing how to deal with a dying child, realising to late that they messed up or failed them, got a 2nd chance through new kids while remembering their first one, then it is lightly sweet if they try to be a better mother now.
But then there is the problem that she seemingly only cared about her new kids when she spoke to Aqua, indicating that she completely neglects the life prior. Then again, it is hard and slightly weird to reveal your first childs death to a teen stranger.
Nothing is known 100% but reading the chapters gave me actual feeling of disconfort and uncertainty on how to read that woman.
I have mostly negative feelings since we read from the view of our protagonists, I feel almost the same disgust.
So far, I have a negative view of her too. We haven’t gotten her entire story yet, but Marina seems like a horrible parent to Sarina at least with what we’ve been shown. Marina did seem to treat Sarina well before she got sick, but then stayed away after, mainly due to the father. She probably didn’t how to deal with it and never had the chance to do it right since the father separated them. Later, she probably realized what she should’ve done and has regrets, but has tried to move on. Ig we’ll see if get more of Marina’s backstory tho

In the last scene of the chapter Aqua has normal eyes, him being himself, so I am hopeful he will do the right thing and explain who he is. They only have each other.
She isn't the worst mother since I read this horror manga that was much worse. But that is a terrible thing she did.
Marina is a common case of new parents. Sarina is most likely her first child and to think that your first child is experiencing all this is difficult to swallow. While not a good reason to abandon Sarina, it makes a good point as to why she became a better mother to her other children, because she learned.
When a person is reborn, they have to move on from the past and their own past life.
We still have so many unanswered questions. Such as who crow girl is. If she is benevolent? Theres just so much unknown
There has been many parents in the past who had multiple children and raised a happy family despite the oldest child dying young. And until very recently in history, it was acceptable for a parent to not get too invested in a child clearly doomed.

As for the worst mom, I might go with MHA icy hot boy’s mom. I’m sorry but poring boiling hot water on a very young child, and looking at him like he’s a monster, that’s worse. I do not care if her son blamed it on his dad, he’s the genius that thought achieving his dad’s dream without using his fire quirk was somehow a genius way of getting revenge.
Seriously how stupid is that plan, risk getting killed, while still doing exactly what his father wanted him to do, while holding back half of your power, if anything his father would feel better if his son became #1, since his son would be far more powerful using both sides of his quirk.

Looks like Aqua is going to find out who Ruby really is and I hope he won’t use her for his revenge because he’s soo blinded by it and maybe didn’t realized yet but he’s slowly becoming more like this father

Yeah Aqua is definitely becoming similar to his father and doesn’t realize it yet. I do think he’s doing everything to protect the people he cares about, but still. It’ll be interesting to see if Aqua chooses to manipulate Ruby or help her so they could work together later. Also, I do think Ruby wouldn’t want Aqua once she finds out. They’re blood related and it would ruin her career if she did do that.

About Marina, i thought she would be the archetype of the parent that neglet their child because it's a "failure" on whatever aspect, and make or take care of another one that will be successful.
Apparently, i was a bit wrong and it's more complicated than that. It seems she was coping in her own way, *maybe* she couldn't stand seeing Sarina in this miserable state and that's why she didn't visit her? I'm not sure honestly, just speculating.
BUT that doesn't excuse the fact that she basically abondonned Sarina which gave her emotional trauma.
Yeah, it’s a bit more complicated now that we know the father is the one who separated them. Still, Marina had the choice not to abandon Sarina and she did. I’m still unsure how to feel about her having the other children since I think that’s her way of trying to get over Sarina, but trying to forget isn’t a good look.
Tbh this is plot building to give Ruby acting skills overnight.
This will be interesting to see both come to know their identity

To me Aqua looks concerned for Ruby in the last panel. I'm not sure with who did the crow girl talk to, Aqua or Ruby, i think that it would be Ruby, but i'm not sure because panels where the crow girl is talking were black while the rest were wite.
Crow girl could be breaking the 4th wall and just narrating for us too. If anyone, I think she would be talking to Aqua tho 🤔

Besides the fact that Ruby and everyone else needs a big hug, I feel like while it's understandable that Marina didn't wanna agonize over Sarina's inevitable death that she still should've been there for her like goro was. And just me personally even though her death was years ago at this point, the way she ended forgetting about Sarina was pretty messed up.
She's holding the thing that she gave to the doctor also she talked about a doctor so I think Aqua will start to figure it out. Also if you look at Aqua's expression closely you can see that he's shocked

Characters with black stars can show pure stars. Aqua had black star at the age of 4 but we see that his eyes had bright star multiple times. Same goes for Ai. When she talked with Gotanda, she had pure black eyes but she had bright stars in every other scene. What i am saying is, Ruby can get over with her problems in this arc or can get even worse after this arc. Normal star eye she had in chapter 2 does not limits the posibilities.

I mean, ffs. I can understand how horrible and painful it is go hear that your daughter is dying but to not visit her at all? To just forget her existance, leaving her alone in pain and suffering? And the worst of it all, to die alone in the bed with no family surrouding her. Some people say that people die either by blessing their life or cursing it, i can't imagine being a child who is suffering and having no parents around, being utterly lonely and dying alone. while sarina's mom is horrible for how much she distanced herself from sarina some parts Its clear she loved her and it was clearly taking a tole on her but ultimately the dad is so much worse for enabling and basically making the seperation happen in the first place the fact he suggests she should distance herself from there sick child is absolute stupidity. while its sad for the mother to be told ur child is dying I'd say its so much more worse in sarina's case because it just kinda reads as oh ur sick we don't want to go through the sadness and ordeal of ur condition just go fuck yourself you don't matter. I'd say what made serena's mom outright horrible was just having more kids and treating serena like she never existed.
Yeah, the Dad is the one who caused it. He never gave Marina the chance to properly handle it. But then, Marina made things worse by going with it. She probably tried to cope by having more kids and trying to forget about Sarina, but it doesn’t look good.

I do think it’s mainly grief and not wanting to feel the pain of losing a child, which is why Marina tries to forget. As for the siblings, I think knowing who the other is will allow them to realize they always had each other. I’m sure at least Ruby will feel better once she knows Aqua is Goro. I’m worried Aqua might be too far gone however. Hopefully both of them can be happy tho 🤞
