Wishlist Archvale on steam: store.steampowered.com/app/1296360/Archvale/ Watch the trailer: ua-cam.com/video/fiDNUQMRhqc/v-deo.html So happy to announce we're working with Humble Games to launch Archvale, on both PC and Switch, this Summer! Thank you all for following this journey
Exciting stuff will be happening when this devlog premiers. The devlog is partially designed around being watched live, so if you can make it to the premier, please come along! Thank you guys
Wouldn’t trade the last 2 years working on this for anything. Not only is idoz a wiz at what he does but also one of the most professional people I’ve ever worked for, and the guy can make music too.. Archvale when 😭
I'm soooo hyped!! You easily make the highest quality dev logs out there (no disrespect to other dev log channels) and watching this game grow from a cute little bullet hell to a complete game has been a blast. You're also an inspiration to me because I've been looking into learning how to make games myself (though I've been fairly busy with IRL stuff, finishing high school, sports, etc., I haven't gotten to spend as much time into learning as much as I wish, but I have plenty of time left in my life to catch up). Thank you for putting everything into the videos and the game. I'm so excited to play it when it releases!
Idoz and the Archvale team thank you for making this game! Very excited for this premiere, i will do my homework just to watch this live :) (Also the logo is a lot better)
This is going to sound super dorky but... I just saw an ad for Archvale on the Humble Games channel and felt so happy and proud that you've made it. Congratulations - you made something that looks great, and it's been fun to follow the development. All the best.
It premiers exactly on my final exam start time but I'll be sure to catch up as soon as it's done!! Been watching this game forever, thank you for sharing the process with us along the way ❤
3:10 Thanks for saying this! My devlog game get's called a Stardew Ripoff once a week haha. I wish listed now and I'm looking forward to playing it :D Many people suggest putting GIFs in the Steam description page, or most shoppers don't even read it.
These devlogs were fun to watch, you have a great narrating voice tbh,and I believe these devlog series has been a great contribution to "game development & design principles".I hope you guys get the attention and sales you deserve with your game.Take love. Please do share with us how your games performed, and the things you guys learned after the game's release
Great explanation of the thought process. The reason people love your videos is because it feels like a mini docuseries, the editing is lovely and the presentation truly entertaining. Thank you for all the content you share and for your hard work, it really shows. Insta-wishlisted :)
The project and the community have travelled so far. This is really cool and i'm please i was able to follow the devlogs since it begined. And I am hype to play Archvale now !
This is the first time I've come across your channel and this game. It looks super amazing and I'm so sad I could not be part of the entire dev process. I guess I'll just go buy the game and enjoy a blind play through! Thanks for putting the time into making this.
IDK about anyone else, but I started watching because seeing you guys develop your game motivated me to keep on working on my own projects whether that be game-making or anything else.
I have followed a big part of the devlogs and i am very happy about how much you evolved only into this project.you managed to create a very good game that looks exciting and fun.
Every time I watch one of these videos I get so motivated to work on a new game! Good luck with the launch of the game and I really hope you do well, this genuinely looks like a good game, not just any game made by a youtuber.
I totally didn't expect to pop up in your video to be honest, but I am super glad you addressed this problem (which is something that happens literally in every game with a bigger following). It's never fun to hear comments demotivating your hard work, when perhaps a developer got inspired by another game, that developer still made their own assets, music, scripts, story, gameplay and so on! Apart from that, I am super excited about playing your game as it just looks incredibly fun and next to that a big congratulations on everything!
yeah my apologies, i should have reached out to you first! but i absolutely agree, makes me very sad to see people throwing comments around like that because they're so counter productive. best of luck on your game
I really enjoyed your devlog and was inspired to try make games myself. I really hope you can create tutorials on how you create those like the farming system or the combat system. And also, Congrats on finishing Archvale!
You know, I watched some of the project videos you said you gave up on, I would say they were not a waste. I saw a lot of features and ideas in those projects that ended up in archvale. Cool to see how the old ideas come back and resurface to create more complex mechanics and ideas. Good job, looks like a really fun game.
You motivated me to stay motivated to make a rogue like aswell, thanks for all the inspiration! I'll buy the game as soon as it comes out, and I hope I'll be able to finish mine!
Wow does this mean it’ll be ready in a year or so? Or does this mean that you’ll be working on the game without making devlogs. I’m guessing the former. (This is before the premiere)
Omg I had no clue that this game had a devlog. I originally saw the game when it was featured on ChippyGaming and decided to play it and I loved it. Great stuff
thank you so much dude! i watched a bunch of your tutorials a long long time ago, remember them being really helpful. thank you so much for all of the learning resources you've put up :)
I totally resonate with this. I'm making a game now and it feels like a massive task as we aren't 100% sure where we are taking it. We have a story to guide us but a lot of the 'flavour' bits we are adding as we go. I'm making weekly devlogs which (as you mention) keep you motivated to keep going. I'm so happy you managed to finish your game. ❤
The parry gameplay was so nice... Maybe you could attatch it to a breakable item, like the shields used in Breath of The Wild. Or even, add some kind of rock or crystal through the maps, that can be used as a Shield. I imagine alternating between avoid bullets, picking up "shield items", breaking them, and avoid bullets looking for another item to aid defending.
Oh yes! I'm really stoked about this, and I can't wait. I've loved following these devlogs for the past year-and-a-half-ish and I'm excited to finally play Archvale this summer. Thanks for everything! Also, is the music you made for this video available anywhere for listening? I really like it and I'd love to hear the whole thing (sans voices).
Brilliant! That's a great partnership with Humble, fantastic trailer and the game looks like it's really progressed. I wish you luck getting it ready and releasing on steam!
Don't know if I should be sad that the devlogs are gone or happy that the game is close to release! Probably the latter :) also, just an idea: In the future when the game is released you could still make devlog-style videos whenever you make an update to the game to show off a bit of the development process. It would be a lot more interesting than just making patch notes and it would bring traffic to your game.

Any plans for porting to other PC systems like Mac, Linux, or Steam OS?
Ill be sure to check it out when it releases Jamie. After all, its been quite some years since i last tested one of ur projects :p

@@jmxoxx thank you dude! would love to hear what you think :)
Getting a publisher, and Humble no less, sorted and *finishing* a game are both huge. Congratulations! Can't wait to play it myself.

I cant belive we made it this far
This is it...the end of the best devlog serie...

It will probably be released soon since this is the final devlog
@@sologoomba True or he might want to continue developing in private so that spoilers for the game aren't revealed.

Absolutely loved everything about all the videos you did, and this premier, god, was the cherry on top of the cake
thank you so much, so glad you enjoyed it
Umm idk if this is a glitch but it quickly showed that the video was 13:20 minutes long and then it went back to being a premier sooo
This man just predicted the video length lol

@@uBreeze it was for a typo lol
I guessed Humble Bundle was the publisher, I was soo close! I'm really excited for this, thanks for putting so much work into Archvale!
