Some things I'd like to see: Dragon Quest VIII, Fatal Frame, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy XII, Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, Katamari Damacy, King's Field - The Ancient City, Radiata Stories, Shadow Hearts, Siren, Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne, Tales of the Abyss, and Xenosaga Episode 1
Thank you for this video, please be sure to include whether its a PAL or NA rom your using and if your using 1x or above/below resolution. Also please showcase more 3d RPG's if you can. Rogue Galaxy, Champions of Norrath and Return to arms, Dark Cloud 1 and 2, DQ8, ect.
Need to be in High Performance Mode with most GameCube and PS2 games in order to run them at full speed. Many can even be played in 2x Resolution no problem but using High Performance is key. I would suggest trying everything at 1x resolution in High Performance first and then upping the resolution to whatever the threshold is for that particular game until you get a resolution and performance you're satisfied with. GameCube emulation also typically works better than PS2 so any multi-platform titles would be best to get as the GC version such as Resident Evil 4, Simpsons Hit & Run, Def Jam Fight for NY, Ultimate Spider-Man, TimeSplitters and so on and the battery life lasts twice as long when playing GameCube.
I might be a little late, I already bought mine, waiting for it to ship here, would love to see some games people don't usually test like, Sly 3, Altered Beast, Onimusha: Dawn Of Dreams, Batman Vengeance, Breath Of Fire: Dragon Quarter and X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse, I don't know if they are very demanding games for the mobile emulator, but these are some games I'm interested in playing and seeing the performance
The Punisher... one of my favourite PS2 titles! Also, Urban Chaos is also one of my favourite FPS game ever. Can you test please these: - Shadow of Rome; - Gun; - Red Dead Revolver; - Colosseum; - Okami; - Persona 4; - Ico; - Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition; Thanks in advance!
Pro has more power, the pro can't play ever PS2 catalogue and there is tweaking that needs to be done to get the best performance. I'd say the 4 will be able to play some of the catalogue for sure.
Thanks so much for the vid! Would love if you could test some easier to emulate switch titles. Apparently burnout paradise actually runs pretty well on a lot of phones.
@@minecraft200 Kinda but no, the RP4 non pro is still way more powerful than the RP3+.... 3+ uses the unisoc 618 processor, and the RP4 has the D900 which smokes it out of the water so it is a substantial upgrade overall, sadly where it lacks is the 50 percent cut on ram it's horrible, but the D900 is still a big upgrade...... It really depends on your use case, if your heart is set on retro gaming only with at least up to PSP, then yeah the RP4 is more than enough for you.... But honestly I'd just spend the extra 50 dollars and get the pro variant....the D1100 is also another monster and alot more powerful than the D900, both are solid beasts though.....
I don't think the non pro would handle PS2 all that well but it should be able to play it regardless, just not as well as it's older brother....the lack of ram is the issue here....4gb ram compared to 8 makes a big difference in performance....

How does it handle 2D fighting games like Street Fighter 3, Street Fighter Alpha Anthology, Hyper Street Fighter II, Capcom vs. SNK 2, Vampire - The Darkstalkers Collection, Capcom Fighting Evolution Power Instinct 4, Samurai Shodown 6, Samurai Shodown Collection, King of Fighters Collection, and Marvel vs. Capcom 2? I've tried running them on powerful PCs and they all run like poo.
@@MoreTechSir I ran both SFAnthology and Vampire - the Darkstalkers Collection on the MSI GF75 Gaming Laptop, i5-10300H work 8GB RAM on PCSX2. Both ran pretty poorly. I also tried Capcom vs. SNK 2, and it ran only marginally better.
This is very interesting. Thanks. Those buttons seem quite loud. In the next one would you be able to keep the name of the game you're playing on screen throughout, rather than just at the beginning? Look forward to more videos!
Fix your description. Broken timestamps with semicolons we can't just click on to jump to because they're not hyperlinks like proper times with a colon after the minutes. 🙄

Silent hill origins, gta san andreas, ssx 3, burnout 3, devil may cry 2 or 3, star wars battlefront 2, initial D special stage. Try those please
I feel like I'm one of the only ones out there, but Hot Shots Golf 4 is my all time favorite.
Legacy of Kain - Soul reaver 2 and Legacy of Kain - Defiance.
Tony hawk's Pro skater 3, Matt Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 & the Silent Hill 3 are the first 3 that come to mind.

also what emulation package with out the above this isnt that helpful
Rpgs are on my list for sure!
I have not been able to get either Champions game or baldurs gate dark alliance games to work on my pro, but I'm probably doing something wrong, lol

Jak 3 struggles?
Can you show the resolution and upscaling factor? 2x isn't the same from game to game.
Thanks for the showcase!
very welcome ill do some more indepth testing and see what i can come up with !
Maybe it’s how the mic was placed but the buttons seem really loud.
just my phat fingers slamming the button, but they are pretty clicky buttons .
Did you play these games at native resolution, or did you play these at a 2x upscaled resolution?
That's what I'm wondering, and the resolution, not every game has the same resolution depending on the upscale.
@@KyleRuggles native and just wanted a baseline review
Ahh thank you! @@MoreTechSir
@KyleRuggles no worries
Thanks for the review. Can I also play all PS2 on Pocket 4 base version, or do I need pro for sure?

On the FPS games, it looked like you were struggling with the control sticks. Would you say it’s not a good device for shooters?
Yea it looks a lil awkward where the sticks are placed
retroid one tends to be abit awkward due to stick positions, but for it's price, can't complain!
Hoping the grip will make it less awkward for the twin stick games. We shall see.
its not the most ideal but it is playable for sure. My preference is one up and one down analogue stick wise.
Plz try any of these if u have them, any spongebob games, rebel raiders operation nighthawk, area 51
Could you play fire pro wrestling returns or showdown legends of wrestling
I'll check this out for sure
Thank you for sacrificing your left finger nail to test for us.
😂 needs must, i am surprised your the first comment about this. 👍🏻
idk how it actually sounds, but are the bumpers really that loud and clicky?
The buttons are very clicky , bumpers are not to over powering.

hi good evening love your video's can u do street fighter alpha anthology ps2 on retroid pocket 4 pro hard game to emulate
It would be helpful to know the setting per game...
was purely baseline setings
Damn. It can't play Jax 2?? I'm feeling a little disappointed tbh maybe I expected too much from the pro 🤔
Same here 😔

Please add wether the game is upscaled
Yes that was my mistake for not. Noted I will on the next video
would the non pro be able to play these games at full speed aswell?
hmm honestly, no, i feel that the non-pro is basically the 3+ that is rebooted into the 4.
