I honestly think the "guilt" is simply survivor's guilt. Being the only employee to still be alive following the Hour of Joy would make any sane person feel guilty.
I honestly think the guilt is survivors guilt. Being the only employee to still be alive following the hour of joy would make any sense person feel guilty. For real life.
Or maybe we WERE part of "the hour of joy" but manage to escape, Miss Delight stated "How are you- alive?" Implying that she met us but found out that we are still alive... And that the Hour of joy was just a made up name to call that day, since poppy did stated "We called it, the hour of joy"
But at 7:12, there's a sentence that says: Your presence was demanded and you didn't show up. 8/8/1995. I think Miss Delight just asks us why are we still alive because she thought we did die in the hour of joy, but we didn't.
I definitely think we had to have known that the hour of joy was going to happen, at least in some way. Literally every other employee was present, which implies that they were all called there with some urgency, either as a set up by the prototype or as a result of a different event that the prototype found out about and planned around. Regardless, my theory is that we knew somehow that it was going to happen and opted to stay home to avoid it. This is supported by the fact that other toys recognize us, namely Mommy who straight up tells us that we worked there. However, the fact that Poppy and Kissy are not immediately hostile and even help us seems to suggest that we either didn't play a big role in the childrens' suffering, or that they at least know us as an ally of some sort, which could suggest that we were in on the hour of joy. Another supporting element to this is that Catnap seems willing to let us turn back and leave, seeing as he threatens and harasses us but doesn't really do much to directly attack us until the very end. Even Miss delight gives us a chance to back out, even though they're apparently supposed to be literally starving. So clearly they recognize us but see us as someone they aren't actively hostile to; at least not originally. Huggy as well doesn't immediately attack us in the opening area even though that'd be a perfect time to corner and kill us. Instead he stalks us and watches our movements but doesn't actually try to hurt us until later on when we build a toy. It COULD be that he was just screwing with us, but we would definitely recognize him if we DID work for playcare or at least knew enough to be aware of the bigger bodies initiative. If we knew, then either Huggy didn't know that we knew, or he initially didn't see us as a threat, and thus was content to just let us pass since we were an 'ally'. Once we did something to set him off though, we become 'food'. Mommy also attacks us, though it should be noted that she's crazy and seems to just want to hurt everyone at this point. Poppy informs us about the hour of joy, but it could also just be that she doesn't know how much we actually know and is just trying to be thorough. But all of this to say that I think we were either an employee who helped organize the hour of joy in some way, possibly even by feeding information to the prototype and thus were 'friends' of the toys, or we are a toy, ourselves.
I like your last paragraph and I’m starting to buy this theory. I want to add that IF we helped organize the hour of joy, then our guilt could result from the tragedy of our coworkers. At the end of the day, we are likely still human. So I agree that there’s a reason kissy and poppy aren’t angry at us; being that we weren’t directly involved, but we missed the “party” to keep ourself safe from the events of the hour of joy and therefore feel bad for our coworkers who were there (especially the innocent ones)
I think the theory of the player being the head of the production makes a lot of sense because the one-way glass would be for the player to see if the management of the games was done properly. And we also know that Rich was being promoted so was he being promoted from his position to the head of production??? But according to that radio maybe the player were managing the bigger bodies initiative plan as the head of production which said that the player had the chance to stop the sinister initiatives but we didn't. If that is true then the player can't be Rich since in the dialogues he mentions how cruel it is to give the children fake skies and clouds stuff but if the player is the head of production then they must've also planned the fake skies and the home sweet home out. If we were the head of production we also could've worked with Elliot. He had a bigger part in the bigger bodies initiative and maybe he went through guilt and stuff. So since we were the head of production we could've helped Elliot manage this plan. But maybe Poppy found out that we were alive and sent us that note that everyone thinks the employee died and stuff but if you read closely there's a spelling mistake and it is written by a crayon. This could indicate that it was written by a child (Maybe Ollie?). But we see crayon drawings outside of Poppy's area where she was put to sleep. And there's a chance that Poppy was one of the experiments and that she was also some orphan (or maybe Elliot's lost daughter, It would make more sense she wants us to go against Prototype who according to theories, is not cannon that is Elliot Ludwig and maybe died due to him. We also know that Elliot was depressed after his daughter died = guilty and wanted to stop the Bigger Bodies initiative before he was turned into a prototype. But Poppy felt that killing all employees innocent ones as well was not right which was why she called us to put a stop to all this.) Anyways, this series tells us a message. TAKING LEAVES IS IMPORTANT XD
I do believe that we were an employee that worked our way up through Playtime Co. In my video I discussed the theory of our character possibly being Rich or Stella. I think that our character has a lot of lore that will be slowly revealed. We were an important part of Playtime Co. before the hour of joy.
when kissy missy was attacking the researhers or whatever those people were 1 guy ran away and we dont know if he made out alive or not idk why but i have a feeling that the player is that guy but his memories were erased and he was only left with knowing that he was an employee at playtime co and poppy is trying to make us remember it and kissy missy was passive with us because she regretted what she did and maybe the players memory was erased by poppy to help her but she regretted what she did as the player does not have much knowledge about the toys and prototype and now poppy wants to bring his memory back and make him regret what he did and help poppy this my theory tbh idk if i am correctly mensioning it correctly
@@ajsucks6180nahh we didn't show up to work on the hour of joy because the prototype was asking us "why weren't you there? You were supposed to be there. You missed the meeting, you missed the party" so we definitely weren't there
It's hard to really pinpoint where in the factory the player worked. At first I thought he could be a scientist that was involved in the Bigger Body movement which is why he felt guilty. Some of the toys recognized him too.The thing that throws me off is not all the toys responded to him negatively like DogDay for example. He didn't and technically Catnap didnt either. Catnap only wanted to kill us because we wouldn't leave after he warned us multiple times to go. Poppy didn't antagonize the Player nor did she drop hints of the Player's involvement in the experiments. Ollie didn't say anything either so he must not be a scientist. Even though him being part of the manufacturing part of the factory is a good theory. What stops me from thinking that he was is that he needs instructions on how to use the hands and his possible office is in Playcare. It is no where near the factory. Now I'm thinking the player worked with the children at Playcare. He knew what was going to happen to them. He felt guilty for not helping them and is experiencing survivor's guilt. It is a stretch to say he was working with the Prototype mainly because the player would've showed up that day. Most likely he either quit the day before the incident, was fired for snooping around, or it was his day off.
The last vision, when we fell into a dream from Catnap, makes it clear that something has happened to our memory: for example, a woman's voice (Poppy's voice?) asks: “Do you even understand what is a dream and what is reality? no, you don't understand..." also, it seems we know a lot, but still, the main character goes to find out what happened at the factory with his colleagues: again, it looks like a memory lapse... or the main character himself is some kind of special experiment, and this affected the memory...
@v_momente_93 he could be an employee that they were about to turn into a toy but he escaped before the process could start. When I think about it, Catnap could've been using this gas to explain to the player what happened there and used Poppy's voice since we know her.
@@JassLJ Huh, darn- That last part about Catnap using the gas not to hurt us (initially) and just for helping the player understand/remember what happened makes surprisingly much sense... That's a very nice theory you got there!
@LugiDergX thank you! It is just that the normal effect of the gas is that it's supposed to hurt us/ kill us, but there were times when all it did was show us illusions that told us about past events.
I believe that the player was involved in both sides starting with being an employee with some clue as to the playtime co. secrets and then slowly listening to the toys and getting manipulated by the prototype into being some sort of agent for the toys and HIM by passing and receiving information for future plans like 'The Hour of Joy' and since we probably came in on that day, helped get it set up in the morning (the only evidence I have of that is pure speculation that could definitely be something different) but then the prototype escorted us out of the factory to keep us alive and save us for the future (even poppy realized that we are 'perfect') then as ten years pass by, that could also lead into why the prototype doesn't attack us since they know us and can use us as a pawn by taunting us with our guilt to achieve their next goal.
Honestly, the idea of the Prototype going, "actually, I like/can use you. Go home" is a little more terrifying than any other theory I've ever seen yet. I could see us either helping the day before or on the day off the Hour of Joy. If it was the day before and the Prototype wanted us to not die, we could have been told not to come in and now, 10 years later, we are being eaten up by guilt. Maybe the plan wasn't to keep the children, but the Prototype kept the protagonist away because he wanted to keep the kids. That would explain why we could both be aware and not aware. We knew something would happen, but we didn't know exactly what it was. It was our job to keep the kids safe, but the Prototype insisted on us staying away. It depends on how much sway the Prototype has over us, if this is correct
I would argue that we missed the Hour of Joy because The Prototype wanted us to survive. Hear me out. The prototype has the ability to mimic voices, which basically means that anything can happen. Perhaps the Hour of Joy was meant to give the toys the revenge they wanted, but the prototype voiced as the CEO or someone and told us that we didn't need to show up to work that day. Poppy calls us "Capable" and I feel as though the prototype would agree. The Prototype has had several opportunities to kill us but hasn't. He just shows up and takes away the bodies. He needs us for something. Perhaps by letting us live, he's counting on us to kill the toys in the factory, and he can use their bodies/powers to grow even stronger and do something with them. Escape? Cause the Apocolypes? Destroy the Factory? Who knows
Yes, because he was most probably the one who wrote the letter, as poppy was in deep sleep, and all the other employees, according to me, are dead. So, he wanted us to come in the factory to kill the toys and help him grow stronger. Once he is done, he will kill us because we are no more use to him.

End of Chapter 3 Theory: What if kissy missy is fighting the smiling critters think about it they’re quiet, they crawl around and are small. We can hear kissy stomping so what if she is trying to stomp on the smiling critters but THATS JUST A THEORY A GAME THEORY!!! Goodbye Matpat 😢
I believe the player was working with the children, considering the player in the hallunications was among the choldren, not behind any glass or anything. Also the toys didn't show any aggression upon seeing, like with Huggy, he was showing any signs of aggression until the player went deeper into the factory. Mommy Long Legs didn't show any aggression until the player kept beating the games. But upon beating the games, she seemed to get more angry. But also she said the player should die alone instead of her, she was very close with the children and was upset that they kept leaving. Maybe she saw the player leave with the children and they didn't come back and very angry at this. Catnap didn't show any aggression until the player kept refusing to leave. Miss Destiny also recognized the player and confused on how the player was alive. And in the player's hallucination we can see the player in the school with Miss Destiny or one of her sisters teaching. But none of the toy show any of aggression and even wanted the player to leave. There might be a chance the player knew them before they turned into toys. Which why none of them showed aggression until the player refused to leave
Yeah, but there was plenty workers who work with childrens and they all die during hour of joy.. Toys didint save anyone not even who work only with childrens. Btw not sure where you pull that mommy get angry cause children left with players ? lol insane theory. Game even say she get angry cause player cheat that light on/off game. She already warn when we first meet her if you cheat she torn you apart.
We recieved the tampered Poppy tape - the ONLY one with Ludwig's face on it and Poppy and Ludwig are the only ones who use/used that same big, red Poppy flower key. Interesting how Poppy knew where that switch was and also that it required Ludwig's key. I believe that whoever we are, we have something to do with Ludwig & Poppy. We know Thomas the pediatrician (the failed Bron experiment) was there from the 1950s, so it's not a stretch that we could have worked in Playcare too and noticed things... changing after Ludwig's death. I think anyone who was piecing together what was happening to the children was taken and silenced as an experiment. There was a shredded and redacted document between Thomas and someone else (I believe) regarding Theo's drawing actually being The Prototype & it returning Theo. Who's to say we didn't find or see that document? Or that gossip wasn't spreading around the office? We do know that staff were "going missing" due to the curfew notice.🤷♀️ TL:DR I believe we worked there in the days of Elliot Ludwig & after his death when the children started being harmed, we left from guilt.
We also know that the protagonist was scared to death by the bigger bodies, we dreamed of Huggy Wuggy killing us and the moment Catnap came into the room our player dropped the battery out of fear, maybe this means The Prototype made a threat to our player to unleash a bigger body on us if we did not follow him in his cult of sorts and I think we were just ill or something so we had to miss the hour of joy and now we look back and know The Prototype wants to kill you now for failing to help the hour of joy. Who really knows though?
I dont still get why people think prototype just simply wanna kill protagonist? Catnap has million changes kill protagonist if prototype wanted that, but instead that they just try get protagonist go away from play co. Ofc later when player dont care about warnings and you allied with poppy to plan kill prototype he dont have any other choice than order catnap kill you. Only who wanna kill us eventually is poppy. She is only reason who block our way to escape and change train and after that made whole "prototype will kill you if you try escape". Prototype would allow player escape with train, but poppy didint allow it. I think there lot more behind prototype and i belive poppy is real bad guy not prototype who actually moved kids safe during hour of joy and block school doors, so miss delight could not kill children.
I think playtime co partnered up with the military before the bigger bodies initiative because the military was the real reason for it in the first place
Yeah that would make sense. I mean cmon imagine if hundreds of people suddenly dissapear in work and goverment dont do nothing? If all employers dissapear during one work day for sure police or army would raid factory. While now they are like no one dissapear.
We were most certainly a former employee of the factory, since from the lines and cardboard cutouts from Chapter 3 suggest that we did work here before. It may have also been Ollie who have sent us the letter in the first place.
I still think the player was the head of production zone because we can literally use the grabpack like a pro and as for why our office is in the Councilor Office I think that is because we were hallucinating and saw our office there even Though it was in the main facility.
I think the player character is a separate character. Poppy refers to us as a “they” so clearly the player character is just suppose to be what the real life player wants them to be, which is why our name isn’t said, why we don’t see ourselves in mirrors or cutscenes, and why we don’t talk, this makes me believe the player character is just a self insert for us. This is also known as a “silent protagonist.” There was an unused intro of chapter 1 saying that we called in ill the day the hour of joy occurred. (you can look it up if you don’t believe me.) but since it isn’t used, we don’t know if it’s valid.
That does make a lot of sense, but even then, how would that explain all that we do and plans that for example Poppy has for us to try and help her defeat the Prototype and other, remaining hostile toys? It would be too simple to just say, "oh, we could be anyone at all!", because we come back to the factory to look for remaining employees or our coworkers, we meet and free Poppy, beat and kill all those toys.. I dunno man, really that still is a good idea but I do feel like it has a lot of conflicts with what is happening in the story since we are actively a part of the events happening all those years later after The Hour of Joy event.
@@ChocoRainbowCorn You sort of misunderstood, the game has clearly chosen our character’s HISTORY (similar to RPG games), and we know not much about them except they worked there and may have been in the bigger bodies experiments and hour of joy. I never said we chose our characters motivations, plans, our role in the company and hour of joy, and such, But our character’s identity, face, and voice is up to us. Just think of us as a separate character. Best example I can make up is creating a character in a video game, you can choose their dialogue (voice), their reactions, identity, face, but you could be some hero that explores dungeons, or be a Pokémon trainer, or some teenager in a high school trying to win a girl’s love, which are out the real life player’s control.
@@BrenninEthan903 I suppose so, except there's evidence for player character possibly being multiple different people who have actually worked at the factory before. We have candidates and hidden in-game hints towards almost any of them. I'm inclined to believe that even though we never see (in any mirrors, photos, etc.), hear from or hear our character (and who/what they are) being directly referenced from other characters, it's still not really good to believe they could be anyone we want to make them up to be. I just don't think that can work with the knowledge that we have and things we as a whole community around this game can fairly reasonably assume or figure out - Your comparisons are too different from the case of main character in Poppy Playtime. Again, nothing is said directly, but that doesn't mean we don't have the knowledge to figure it out, at least partially. While we can't say exactly who we are yet and can only put up good theories, the more chapters of the game we explore in the future, the more clarified in a more or less direct way who we are will be (like more hidden hints such as some documents, more VHS tapes dialogues or who really knows what, eventually just being able to see ourselves straight up on any of the VHS tapes, maybe photos, mirrors or any of the characters finally referring to our character directly with anything they might say due to some potential situation). I still definitely do wish your idea could be true though.
@@ChocoRainbowCorn I just don’t think we’re anyone that may have died from the hour of joy anyway, like you’d Atleast think they’d give hints, Rich sounds like the type of guy to speak his mind all the time, wouldn’t make sense for him to be the player. And wouldn’t the toys recognize you? They just say, “you used to work here.” Poppy calling you a “they” is probably the biggest direct evidence I have. I’m sure even she can tell the difference from a boy and a girl. The player’s identity isn’t bad being us, it doesn’t change the fact we learn more about them each chapter still, they don’t have to be an existing character in the tapes (that are most likely dead anyway) to be interesting. I just don’t see the player being any one of these characters, especially if the game shoves gender neutral pronouns in your face. Just think of the protagonist from fallout 4, they have their own history and motives (and it is a lot, like poppy playtime), and yet you can choose their name and gender.
@@BrenninEthan903First of all, just wanna say I can't really say anything about the Fallout comparison, since I never really played those games, was never much interested in others playing them or have had any interest in the universe of that franchise. Back to Poppy Playtime though, I don't think we absolutely _have_ to be an existing character to be interesting and neither do we have to be a character from the tapes to be interesting as well. Us being an existing character or just self-insert for players are both good and interesting ideas that can work. All I'm saying is that we already have too many different evidence pieces to figure out who we could be and I do think that an eventual reveal of our character in some way is almost inevitable in any of the future chapters or maybe even game ending itself. Yes, using gender neutral pronouns by the characters while they talk to/refer to us is suspicious but there could still very well be a legitimate reason of some sorts for that that we just don't know about. I propose that we just wait and see for more chapters to come out and see where that leads us, even though I believe that we already have had multiple hints (smaller bits of information) that we, community as a whole that is, could more or less easily speculate about who exactly we could be. I mean, that's the whole reason this video we both comment under even exists in the first place, since we already have quite a decent amount of knowledge, just not any that's being directly shown to us or any that is supposed to be obvious. Then again, it might be better for us to just wait and see. I think both of our ideas have a good chance to turn out as being valid/true, though at the same time, I have a hard time believing that with what we already know, your idea is as likely. Only time can tell for now really.
oh hey, this vid kinda pokes at some theories I floated about regarding our character and the hour of joy! Like I said then, the fact that the player *DREAMED* about the hour of joy before Poppy ever showed them the tape implies they somehow ALREADY knew of it....If that's the case, maybe they did come back due to guilt...in a...vain hope of finding someone, ANYONE left alive..think about it..Unless were were fired and just never returned, the player would've had to come back at SOME point and saw that the entire place was empty, or doors weren't opening...or hearing screams inside and knowing better than to enter into what sounds like a slaughter. Whichever way you slice it, it just always leads to the player being at least SOMEWHAT aware of the....truth..of the circumstances..apropos to nothing, those tapes regarding the corpse found at Ludwigs estate, and the voice saying "STAY TUNED FOR MORE", and even the backwards message, plus the tape where nightmare huggy pops out....don't they all sound the same? It's a bit odd how all these tapes that have nothing to do with anything regarding each other all seem to have the same or similar voice....but the thing is..... these recordings are all only heard in the Players dream, their subconscious mind...Why would that specific voice haunt us so?....Could it be our voice?
So...everybody talks about how we might be Richie...just because he's in every chapter so far. But what about Stella? Humor me for a moment. She's in every chapter so far. She had some knowledge of what was going on, but still might have felt betrayed after an incident like what we see in chapter three. She knew that "testing" meant something bad. She just didn't know what kind of bad it was. She was naive enough to believe that Playtime Co. was a truly magical place. Seeing how distraught the adoptive couple were at the idea that something bad was happening to a child they wanted to adopt...don't you think that'd give her reason to storm into somebody's office and start asking questions? If she learned anything, how do you think she would react, having all of her dreams of grandure obliterated, while she's thinking this place is filled with magic, love, and wonder...? I know there are theories that Stella is Poppy, but we have no confirmation of that. We don't know if Stella was killed in the Hour of Joy, or if she managed to hide for long enough. I'm gonna say it: I think WE'RE Stella Greybur, and we came back, because we wanted to see if anyone was still alive...
yes, i agree! i don’t understand why some people think we can’t be playing as her. i think it is a very real possibility that we are playing as her, as everything we know about the player matches up with her
I disagree. Because there isn’t even real proof that we are actually her. Neither are we confirmed to be a woman either, also Poppy isn’t Stella but the daughter of Elliot Ludwig.
@@TheKingofBunga2912 Poppy Is Stella Because She want to become a toy that's why She Agreed to the Elliot Talks and taken to the experiment room after she became poppy
here’s what i think, the player didnt know abt all of this and they had a job near game station as a security so that’s why mommy said “i know u…” and in the hour of joy the prototype wanted EVERYONE to die as poppy said “the guilty the innocent, didnt matter they all died” so we were innocent and only knew the kids were taking tests for a reason we didn’t know
The last vision, when we fell into a dream from Catnap, makes it clear that something has happened to our memory: for example, a woman's voice (Poppy's voice?) asks: “Do you even understand what is a dream and what is reality? no, you don't understand..." also, it seems we know a lot, but still, the main character goes to find out what happened at the factory with his colleagues: again, it looks like a memory lapse... or the main character himself is some kind of special experiment, and this affected the memory...

That is my question from the first game which I believe will be the biggest shocker at the end of Poppy's play time that we don't see coming. I also believe the player may not come out of this story as a hero more like a villain or being taken over by one of the toys that's my theory. thank you for being the only UA-camr to make a video questioning this player lol

I think we made only huggy wuggy because of the huggy nightmare right next to guilt haunts you Edit: this is the most likes I got on a comment 💀💀💀💀💀 but seriously thank you so much!
I think simple because he was having flashbacks of the past. The huggy wuggy a chase scene made alot of youtubers terrofied and scream, so you can definitely tell it gave the player some sort of ptsd
@@Dan-op8fs exactly my thoughts. mob is always going to incorporate huggy into their games for better marketing, and it makes sense that the player would have a nightmare of the traumatic experience of being chased by huggy. so why wouldn’t huggy appear? i wish everyone didn’t think that his constant appearance means that we made him specifically or had some special connection to him
I have a pretty bad theory: Maybe the player is a toy who had ran away before the Hour of Joy. Because the Prototype can mimic voices, the reversed audio could be him talking to the player. This would explain why the audio sounds so angry; the Prototype is mad at the player for not going along with the plan (the Hour of Joy). Another thing is that the player never has to sleep or eat throughout the entire series (as far as I know). I don’t know much about this game but I think that this theory could make some sense.
I LOVE YOUR THEORY I WAS THINKING PLAYER WAS A OLD EXPERIMENT THAT GOT FAILED BEING A TOY BUT SOMEHOW KNEW WHAT THE TOY'S WEAKENESS AND HOW TO ESCAPE THE FACTORY OR DEFEAT OTHERS
@@BaconMan100the two worlds aren't 'slightly' connected, they are very connected. There's the theatre (which we can see in chapter 1), the Playtime Factory map is most likely underneath the area where chapter 1 takes place, because we can see the tubes from that map in chapter 1 just randomly sticking out of the floor, we got the Ollie phone, which only appears in chapter 3, and the toys are still alive, which makes sense because it takes place before chapter 1. The only non canon things are the destroy a toy and misfit pit maps (at least they're not confirmed to be canon)
Theory ollie is the prototype 1 when the power got cut ollies voice seems sarcastic 2 ollies voice sounds like he is 10 or 12 he cant be the factory closed 10 years after chapter 1,2,3
most people say that, but thats not really true at all, Ollie has a security cameras and sounds young because it was a newborn baby back then. so when that baby was in the orphanage I assume it was well hidden enough that it grew up finding place to be safe
my theory is during the hour of joy we were one of the survivors and we wrote that note cause since the red smoke makes us go back to the past that means we escaped the hour of joy and if we didnt escape the hour of joy wouldnt even happen but since we took a break the hour of joy happend besides since we killed huggy and mommy and catnap that would lead that the monsters are the one who wrote GUILT HAUNTS YOU
This is very disproved since we have so many nightmares of Huggy it’s very leaned to we helped make Huggy wuggy and Stella had no idea on the experiments on the kids
@@GojiraGuy-vm4uci disagree. stella did the voice for the game center, and she literally mentions to the kids to follow mommy because she was there with them. furthermore, i think she signed off on the testing of the orphans for their assigned toys after playing the game center mini games. i don’t know much she would have known about the experimentation, but she had to have known that they were occurring. and to your point about huggy, i also don’t see the legitimacy of that theory. in my opinion, the red smoke put us into a nightmare where we couldn’t run from what we had seen and were afraid of. in chapter 1, of course, we were chased by huggy, and it is here where we were most definitely *traumatized* by that experience. so huggy’s involvement is because we were so afraid of him, and we won’t forget that traumatic experience. therefore, i don’t think there is any evidence that we cannot be stella. in fact, it is very plausible that we are playing as her, in my opinion.
@@dynasty701 did you watch the tapes on chapter 3? There was the tape that has a family adopting a kid but there was something wrong since under the child’s name it said “testing “ and Stella was very confused and she didn’t know when she assigned them it was for testing she thought it was for adoption and even if she knew and was like That that wouldn’t mean poppy, kissy, and Ollie would help the person who turned them into toys so I don’t know what your yapping about
That makes so much sense! Because catnap says:the prototype will save us This could refere the prototype stoping the experiments and saving the toys and kids. Which could mean the toys that talked sawyer manipulated him
Yep this theory has convinced me we are most likely Rich. We got promoted found out what was going on in the new job orientation, freaked out and tried to help free the kids with the prototype but learned at the last moment the real bloodshed that was planned. We ran away to scared to try and stop it we instead stayed away frozen in indecision as the hour of joy came and went. Probably even had a meeting that day scheduled for our introduction as the new head of production too explain the slides letters too
I am still expecting the ending similar to that of little nightmares 2, as mono gets betrayed by six which makes him the villian itself. Similarly we can be the traitor of the story. Or, I think we can see something like the player is actually in a state of coma after the hour of joy, and we are just imagining all of the things happened after that event.
I have a theory: the player was an orphan 8 year old and was friends with catnap as a kid he feels guilty because he didn't help his friends when they turned in to toys now his 18
If our office was in home sweet home, we could be someone helping the children. There is a chance of us to also being a head researcher, but if we were a head producer, our office would not be there, it would be located in certain places like the gas production zone and the 2nd chapter.
I'm still dead set on the fact that we're playing as Rich had a tape in each chapter. Doubt that's just there for just being there. Not one, not two, but THREE VHS TAPES on Rich.
The reason we went to Play-Time co, was because the hour of joy happened The player is female, her dad was a Play-Time co-employee, she came in, and Rich was there. So they fell in love at first sight, and Rich became Huggy Wuggy. The player knew that, so she was kinder to him, showing her kindness and had a moral compass personality. Then the most bizarre thing happened when Rich was free from Huggy Wuggy he found the player, the player thought she lost him, they hugged, and the player was in tears. So the player is not Rich, he became her boyfriend.
The Player is not female Poppy Playtime Reffer us to "He" so the player is Male Also rich Is not even Player because rich and other employees are dead in the hour of joy incident
Dunno but doesnt seem soo logical.... we are just a male yelow figures that can be either Rich or somethin because I found out bout nightmare huggys jumpscare having male voice screamin so that could be the player
I have a theory about this very topic on my channel. To me I think chapter 3 hints at us being a bigger body that managed to escape and the guilt we feel is due to leaving our fellow bigger body coworkers behind. I like the viewpoint you chose cause I hadn't considered it and it also reminds me of project playtime with rowan stoll seeking to expose playtime Co
I’m still wondering who and why someone sent us the letter to come back, and why they decided to tell us to find poppy. Whoever did obviously wanted us to free her, but why and did they know she was going to use us to fight the prototype?
Maybe the prototype sent it. And want us to come back to destory all of them ending their eternal suffering in these bigger bodies. Gathering them all together to insure they are all destoryed together and finally freed?
Oh crap that is probably why the player is so afraid of Huggy. He must have been the first to attack the player or possibly jump-scare him. Yet he did not kill us the player. Yet when we came back Huggy either felt betrayed or something of the sort. I don't fully know but I think that is something to be thought about. Our last dream in the hallucination was us standing in front of Huggy's post-hearing screams and terror, with Huggy gone?
THEORY:If all the co-workers died in the hour of joy except from us then what happend to Elliot Lundwig,Richard and Leith Pierre?(could be the name of a new video but ok)
I know this is not related to the video, but I have something that I think would be cool for if once we kill Miss Delight, the gate opens back up and her body is gone, meaning that the prototype took it.
so when you were saying at 8:58 when the player isn’t supposed to know, i think they only said 8/8/1995 as a reference to the day we were supposed to be there to die, but we didn’t show up. this doesn’t necessarily mean we knew about the hour of joy because it doesn’t really say the name of that day on the radio. i figured the player had guilt because they knew the date that their coworkers went missing. (just a thought though, i only have a doubt because the way they talked in present and past tense to the player. the tone of voice is kind of hard to read too, the voice is usually what helps the most)
Keep up the vids! I never usually say this, but your videos are actually awesome. Keep up the work! Someday you will get a million subs. I believe in you.
My Headcannon WAS that We where A Little Child Who found the note Before the Intended Person Could, But after this I dont think that anymore, Buts its still feels Nice to think we Play As A Little Kid like Me So i can feel like A Little Kid Could Fgure out All the Puzzels,And survive All those 'Monsters'
i personally think that we're Harley (dr. sawyer) because of that one catnap tape where he says "The prototype will save us." While we dont know what date that tape was set on, we do know that Harley was gone that day. But since we're also getting flashbacks and memories of the hour of joy i think he escaped while already on his way out.
I think you/player is rich.. I mean, THINK about it... at the tape in chapter 3 Rich talks about the kids and player gets also a hallucination about the kids..
I'm getting mixed messages: considering chapter 1's bio stating we're an ex-employee and since Boxy Boo is used to kill lower eployees who start learning about the experiments, makes me wonder if the player's position in the factory hierarchy gave them specal privileges since Rowan Stoll's recordings shows that the higher ups were likely responsible for nearly killing him in a crash by tampering with his car along with doing other stuff to sabotage him before he ultimately dies to Boxy🤔
I honestly think the "guilt" is simply survivor's guilt. Being the only employee to still be alive following the Hour of Joy would make any sane person feel guilty.

Or maybe we WERE part of "the hour of joy" but manage to escape, Miss Delight stated "How are you- alive?" Implying that she met us but found out that we are still alive... And that the Hour of joy was just a made up name to call that day, since poppy did stated "We called it, the hour of joy"
when did miss delight say "How are you alive"? i never heard it.
nvm i found it
But at 7:12, there's a sentence that says: Your presence was demanded and you didn't show up. 8/8/1995. I think Miss Delight just asks us why are we still alive because she thought we did die in the hour of joy, but we didn't.
the reason why I like poppy theory is beacause he always focuses on the main point whereas the shit youtubers who waste time and clickbait
Maybe
I think when mommy said we used to work here,is because maybe the prototype knew that we were spying on the scientists as a spy
same i think it too
damn, good theory!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I love how Mob Entertainment just makes the ex-employee/player that we play is such a total mystery and unknown.
Fair enough but eventually I still want to know who we are
Personally, I think that idea works best.
But Poppy felt that killing all employees innocent ones as well was not right which was why she called us to put a stop to all this.)
Anyways, this series tells us a message. TAKING LEAVES IS IMPORTANT XD
I do believe that we were an employee that worked our way up through Playtime Co. In my video I discussed the theory of our character possibly being Rich or Stella. I think that our character has a lot of lore that will be slowly revealed. We were an important part of Playtime Co. before the hour of joy.
yes thatts true but we are co worker ua-cam.com/channels/XaGZnUCsO26xFVxNgheHdQ.html
when kissy missy was attacking the researhers or whatever those people were 1 guy ran away and we dont know if he made out alive or not idk why but i have a feeling that the player is that guy but his memories were erased and he was only left with knowing that he was an employee at playtime co and poppy is trying to make us remember it and kissy missy was passive with us because she regretted what she did and maybe the players memory was erased by poppy to help her but she regretted what she did as the player does not have much knowledge about the toys and prototype and now poppy wants to bring his memory back and make him regret what he did and help poppy this my theory tbh idk if i am correctly mensioning it correctly

I think Poppy was Stella and Richie's name wouldn't fit on the name plate on the higher ups slide in either form.
I liked that theory

Who knows
the player was supossed to be there
I would endorse this theory if I had any power to do so. :3
Yes, because he was most probably the one who wrote the letter, as poppy was in deep sleep, and all the other employees, according to me, are dead. So, he wanted us to come in the factory to kill the toys and help him grow stronger. Once he is done, he will kill us because we are no more use to him.

We do know that staff were "going missing" due to the curfew notice.🤷♀️
TL:DR I believe we worked there in the days of Elliot Ludwig & after his death when the children started being harmed, we left from guilt.
If you look at player's grabpack in chapter one when we get into the vent you can actually see how player is trembling

Yeah that would make sense. I mean cmon imagine if hundreds of people suddenly dissapear in work and goverment dont do nothing? If all employers dissapear during one work day for sure police or army would raid factory. While now they are like no one dissapear.
This is honestly the best theoretical channel I've come across in 2024!!
(also please make a theory on "Poppy's angels")
Now that would make for a great video I'd love to see it.
We were most certainly a former employee of the factory, since from the lines and cardboard cutouts from Chapter 3 suggest that we did work here before. It may have also been Ollie who have sent us the letter in the first place.
Miss Delight in school, say: «stop, i remember you (do i now you)
Mommy already said it in c2
It’s literally written in the steam description to of Ch.1 lmaoo
True cuz poppy also said in chapter 3 that Ollie was the reason they found the protagonist at the first place
This whole comment! I agree
@@dynasty701 Because rich and Stella both are dead in the hour of joy incident WHY DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND
@@TheKingofBunga2912 Poppy Is Stella Because She want to become a toy that's why She Agreed to the Elliot Talks and taken to the experiment room after she became poppy
@Lacy Reinhert Stella Isn't a ex employee she was still working in the factory but after the hour of joy incident she is dead
Obviously we are a invisible bean with a grabpack 😅
what do you think we are the prototype?
here’s what i think, the player didnt know abt all of this and they had a job near game station as a security so that’s why mommy said “i know u…” and in the hour of joy the prototype wanted EVERYONE to die as poppy said “the guilty the innocent, didnt matter they all died” so we were innocent and only knew the kids were taking tests for a reason we didn’t know
The last vision, when we fell into a dream from Catnap, makes it clear that something has happened to our memory: for example, a woman's voice (Poppy's voice?) asks: “Do you even understand what is a dream and what is reality? no, you don't understand..." also, it seems we know a lot, but still, the main character goes to find out what happened at the factory with his colleagues: again, it looks like a memory lapse... or the main character himself is some kind of special experiment, and this affected the memory...
@@Guitar_Sound93 well i just thought she was giving him the truth because he didn’t know what the hour of joy was so i thought he was clueless and poppy was showing him
That is my question from the first game which I believe will be the biggest shocker at the end of Poppy's play time that we don't see coming. I also believe the player may not come out of this story as a hero more like a villain or being taken over by one of the toys that's my theory. thank you for being the only UA-camr to make a video questioning this player lol
We probably gonna join the prototype
in the end, we will blow it all up and die ourselves so that the monsters don’t break out... and that’s the end

idk why but I have the gut feeling we are Rich (the guy who complains a lot in the vhs tapes)
Same
idk because the player is unisex but good theory

In the last vision, it's CatNap talking in Poppy's voice.
I think we made only huggy wuggy because of the huggy nightmare right next to guilt haunts you
Edit: this is the most likes I got on a comment 💀💀💀💀💀 but seriously thank you so much!
Then why didn’t he kill on sight at the beginning?
@@TheGreatSalsaMan maybe he wanted to do it slow or he tought that he doesnt need to give his all energy on just us
@@edinmesinovic2844'Im not wasting my energy on you Player'
I think simple because he was having flashbacks of the past.
The huggy wuggy a chase scene made alot of youtubers terrofied and scream, so you can definitely tell it gave the player some sort of ptsd
@@Dan-op8fs exactly my thoughts. mob is always going to incorporate huggy into their games for better marketing, and it makes sense that the player would have a nightmare of the traumatic experience of being chased by huggy. so why wouldn’t huggy appear? i wish everyone didn’t think that his constant appearance means that we made him specifically or had some special connection to him
I like how you put the Poppy playtime: Forever lobby music in the background.
I have a pretty bad theory:
Maybe the player is a toy who had ran away before the Hour of Joy.
Leith Pierre also survived hour of joy since he was instructing the player in project playtime which is set in 1999.
So, we could be some guy that is just hallucinating all of the events of Poppy's Playtime up to now? God, I hope that's not the case.
I hate that theory
well we’re not hallucinating the whole game obviously
It'd be some bad storytelling if that was the case.
@@BurningFlamesofDivineDragonExactly
If that's the case, then the ending will suck.
Theory ollie is the prototype
1 when the power got cut ollies voice seems sarcastic
2 ollies voice sounds like he is 10 or 12 he cant be the factory closed 10 years after chapter 1,2,3
most people say that, but thats not really true at all, Ollie has a security cameras and sounds young because it was a newborn baby back then. so when that baby was in the orphanage I assume it was well hidden enough that it grew up finding place to be safe
@@Omori420Oh, i've never thought about Ollie being a newborn ten years back, really good theory
my theory is during the hour of joy we were one of the survivors and we wrote that note cause since the red smoke makes us go back to the past that means we escaped the hour of joy and if we didnt escape the hour of joy wouldnt even happen but since we took a break the hour of joy happend besides since we killed huggy and mommy and catnap that would lead that the monsters are the one who wrote GUILT HAUNTS YOU
I honestly think that we just built the small toys like catbee because in chapter 1 we knew how to make catbee easily
Thank you for sharing your beautiful vedio sir.
𝙵𝚒𝚛𝚜𝚝 like
Sec like
We were probably one of the employees who escaped through some vents or something and knew everything about the hour of joy..
We are yellow guy
I was thinking the player could just pull “Connection Terminated” 😅
And just joins the prototype to kill poppy💀
Could we be Stella since she was around when Mommy Long Legs was made?
This is very disproved since we have so many nightmares of Huggy it’s very leaned to we helped make Huggy wuggy and Stella had no idea on the experiments on the kids
we didnt @@GojiraGuy-vm4uc
There was the tape that has a family adopting a kid but there was something wrong since under the child’s name it said “testing “ and Stella was very confused and she didn’t know when she assigned them it was for testing she thought it was for adoption and even if she knew and was like
That that wouldn’t mean poppy, kissy, and Ollie would help the person who turned them into toys so I don’t know what your yapping about
@@dynasty701 why would be playing as that psychopath though? It fits more for it to be Stuart or rich, Or just another employee we don't know
I hope chapter 4 will give us more information
And I hope in chapter 4 we get to see what are character looks like
THANK YOU MAN FOR THIS VIDEO WE LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!! WHEN IS YOUR NEXT VID?
today 😌
Lol im early@@PoppyTheory
what if were doctor sawyer, the tape with catnap says "normally we'd have doctor sawyer but. (hes out today.)
That makes so much sense!
Because catnap says:the prototype will save us
This could refere the prototype stoping the experiments and saving the toys and kids.
Probably even had a meeting that day scheduled for our introduction as the new head of production too explain the slides letters too
Uh no he doesn't know we're most likely a toy.
I think the player was a scientist
I am still expecting the ending similar to that of little nightmares 2, as mono gets betrayed by six which makes him the villian itself. Similarly we can be the traitor of the story.
Or,
I think we can see something like the player is actually in a state of coma after the hour of joy, and we are just imagining all of the things happened after that event.
I have an theory:did you know that the player is alien snowmans?
editor 19.0:yeah it’s pretty funny😂

I have an another theory:the Player’s name is Nicec00lkidd
I’m here in 1 :minute
love your videos and these theories sm
For those who don't know (even you @PoppyTheory) The hour of joy happened at 11AM which is visible in the relocate bigger bodies tape
I think the player is the doctor
imagine if the player is Elliot Ludwig
I would laugh LOL
that would suck
He’s dead💀
The reason we went to Play-Time co, was because the hour of joy happened
The player is female, her dad was a Play-Time co-employee, she came in, and Rich was there.
We are called angel ❤
I’m still wondering who and why someone sent us the letter to come back, and why they decided to tell us to find poppy. Whoever did obviously wanted us to free her, but why and did they know she was going to use us to fight the prototype?
Maybe the prototype sent it. And want us to come back to destory all of them ending their eternal suffering in these bigger bodies. Gathering them all together to insure they are all destoryed together and finally freed?
maybe ollie sent it? or whoever ollie is
@@prettydoll-gn1ydtbh, many people speculate he is the prototype, and I can agree.
love ur vids better than game theory
But why did dogday say : you're poppys angel
Player saved poppy and Player did the job by killing huggy and other toys
Oh crap that is probably why the player is so afraid of Huggy. He must have been the first to attack the player or possibly jump-scare him. Yet he did not kill us the player. Yet when we came back Huggy either felt betrayed or something of the sort. I don't fully know but I think that is something to be thought about. Our last dream in the hallucination was us standing in front of Huggy's post-hearing screams and terror, with Huggy gone?

I've got to ask what does that have to do with the topic of this video?
I’ve never thought of that 😅
Oh my god, are we Harley Sawer
YOU ARE THE BEST UA-camR.
so when you were saying at 8:58 when the player isn’t supposed to know, i think they only said 8/8/1995 as a reference to the day we were supposed to be there to die, but we didn’t show up. this doesn’t necessarily mean we knew about the hour of joy because it doesn’t really say the name of that day on the radio. i figured the player had guilt because they knew the date that their coworkers went missing. (just a thought though, i only have a doubt because the way they talked in present and past tense to the player. the tone of voice is kind of hard to read too, the voice is usually what helps the most)
I have a other subject you may could make a video on. Why does dogday says that he is the last smiling critter while catnap was still alive?
maybe by the time catnap presumably chained him up or during the hour of joy he doesn't consider catnap closely or even as a friend anymore ?
Keep up the vids! I never usually say this, but your videos are actually awesome. Keep up the work! Someday you will get a million subs. I believe in you.
These videos are absolute bangers
I think players real name is Jamie B. Honey

In chapter 2 on the 5th slide actually says stella. So maybe we'll be unknown forever
We are a toy! They demanded us at the hour of joy and we didn’t come. Only a toy would be demanded at the hour of joy.
That would make the game so much more interesting if we worked with the prototype

I tink we forgot our of joy &de toys kild...
Our name is Angel as a boy named as a girl named😊
i personally think that we're Harley (dr. sawyer) because of that one catnap tape where he says "The prototype will save us." While we dont know what date that tape was set on, we do know that Harley was gone that day. But since we're also getting flashbacks and memories of the hour of joy i think he escaped while already on his way out.
This is a great video thanks
I think you/player is rich.. I mean, THINK about it... at the tape in chapter 3 Rich talks about the kids and player gets also a hallucination about the kids..
I'm getting mixed messages: considering chapter 1's bio stating we're an ex-employee and since Boxy Boo is used to kill lower eployees who start learning about the experiments, makes me wonder if the player's position in the factory hierarchy gave them specal privileges since Rowan Stoll's recordings shows that the higher ups were likely responsible for nearly killing him in a crash by tampering with his car along with doing other stuff to sabotage him before he ultimately dies to Boxy🤔
another W video
