CSX 1 & 2 are actually from the 2nd order of F40PH-2’s by Amtrak, which came with larger fuel tanks for long distance trips. CSX 3 is from the first order of F40PH, later redesigned F40PH-2, when they were intended for shorter corridor routes, with the SDP40F intended for long distance services.
I would say yes CSX nail it. I caught the OCS on the CSX Trenton line in NJ back on the 10th of May of this year. The Trenton line was Ex Reading Railroad and Conrail. The one fact I didn’t know that B&O Blue royal in 1890 and then rename it to Royal Limited 1917 after stops in Washington DC Baltimore and then from Phila to Jersey City via the Reading line and CNJ line until the late 1950’s. That’s a nice catch.
I remember seeing this at least once growing up and it was a very cool if not a little fuzzy memory for me. I just found the channel and it's awesome seeing so much rail content local to me.
Great catch and shots. And video as always. I think CSXT nailed the B&O paint scheme on its OCS train. I'm a big fan of the EMD F40PHs myself as well. One of the iconic locomotives Amtrak roster. I prefer them over the P42.
I heard that train number through the railroad radio scanner that morning swap out with the crews at Pine street and heading toward Manchester on Coastline line for another crew change
I love the B&O paint scheme. What's not to love about it? Is this what a modern-day Pan Am Railways Capitol Limited with F40PH-3Cs #PAR1, #PAR2, & #PAR3 would look like?

I always wished Amtrak had chosen the old B & O colors and its Capital dome logo to remind us who funds Amtrak. That red, white and blue paint scheme, especially in the early years, made it look like a mail truck. And who wants to ride in a mail truck?
Hunter harrison was the devil. He more or less cut so much csx has done a massive rehire the last few years. Also got rid of many hump yards and routes.
It's cool to see their OCS, especially in a sharp scheme like that from what i was told, their last F40PH in the regular CSX YN3B scheme will be repainted soon, but not in B&O colors but rather they're supposedly gonna pull a seaboard which seaboard i still dont know, but if it's true oh boy

Very good narration; no chatter, no forced happy talk, only what’s essential/informative.
Thank you!
CSX did a good comparison to the older paint scheme and glad the ex Amtrak F40’s lived on

@BIG JOHN Rail Productions The B&O train’s name was actually Royal Blue, not Blue Royal.
Awesome video man! Those “B&O” F40s are awesome! Great catch!
Thanks for watching!
You’re welcome! I enjoy ur vids!
You did great on this catch! Love to see the F40s running elephant style 😊
Thanks!
Word I have heard from several CSX employees is that Boychuck had one of the cars outfitted with a home gym so he can workout while on trips
damnnnn
Very cool man I saw this train last week or so I’m glad they keep those f40’s

Thanks dude!
They didn’t need a car named for E HH, he wasn’t there long and did more harm than good.
Like sheep, the other class 1's adopted PSR in similar fashion.

7:02 pm very understanding wife. Thank you. Well done
I've seen this train probably 10 years ago come through the Wilson NC yard with a few Western Marland cars on the rear.
Great video! 👍
Thanks!
Nice catch.
Another great video, thanks.
Thanks for watching!

Gotta love Tilford!

Thanks, very interesting info!
Thanks for watching!
I saw CSX P001 in Fonda NY on may 10th 2022
Even though the F-40’s are nice loco’s, I would love to see the train pulled by some repurposed E locomotives!!
Same here!
brother-Like- that is nice . catch you llater~ 👍
I was just thinking about this yard a few days ago and wondering what has happened since they started placing down track! :D
Look good when they arrive.
I seen that engine in November of 2021, before csx number 3 was hit by a truck

I really like the B&O paint scheme.

Yes
Nice
I just can't get excited about all this. I work for them.
Nice job
Thanks!
How to arrive in style 😎
CSX is in the process of buying Pan Am Railways in New England. I really hope the make a Maine Central Railroad Heritage unit.
You should go to Fairport NY it has a nice place to watch a lot of trains
interesting that there are 3 engines pulling not that many cars do you think they really need 3 or Would 2 more than suffice? thanks

Amtrak's new scheme is even worse.

The brown streak train in gta🦾😎
How big is CSXs passenger system?

I'd love to see that!
I hope that they'll do a Seaboard Air Lines scheme, similar to the classic Champion train units.
Why not a chessie... you know Csx
i would kill to ride in the cab
Question .... does CSX have tours of the CSX OCS Business Cars ???
B&O paint scheme all the way
Hey, where is that trestle at 4:34?
I own that train as well.
Also known as the Ultimate “Bean Counters”. These Execs know Exactly how many Beans are in a Pound Can of Folgers Coffee. 🤪👎
Shows us a sepia tinted near black & white photo.
Q: You be the judge, did they nail the paint scheme?
A: no, the left out all the sepia.
CSX 5107 also honors Thonas.W Rice
Are you the same gentleman that does Trains 21? Your voice sounds exactly the same.
Nice amazing
waste of money when they dont give 2 shits about the employees
first
4:56 I hate PSR it is actual garbage
