  • Get ready to tag along on our 24 hours trip to Panglao, Bohol! We packed a lot into one day, and we're excited to share it all with you.
First up, we went to Shaka Restaurant for some seriously tasty food. We checked in at the super chill Balai Alona Hotel. Affordable, clean and super close to Alona Beach. Then, it was time for a family BBQ at Bamboo Oasis. Good food, good company, good vibes.
In the morning, we tried the breakfast at Captain's Lodge. Then a quick walk on Alona Beach. Before we left the Alona area, we had some dessert at Wild Panglao.
Last but not least, we wrapped things up with coffee and a view at Bohol Bee Farm.

Thanks for the tour. That is actually a very nice accommodation which is isolated from the hectic activity on the main road. That varnished wood wall looks awesome...and most importantly, it has a shower stall (wet toilet seat and floor is a pet peeve). Added to my list for when I hopefully make it there in a coupla months. A very nice comprehensive farm.
Per CAAP regulation, "RPA may not be operated within 10 km (6.21 miles) radius from the Aerodrome Reference Point (ARP)". The end of Alona Beach Road at the beach is only 2.90 km (1.80 miles) from the center of BPIA's runway. I guess it's not strictly enforced in that area which is great. The only problem with taking advantage of such non-enforcment liberty without self-restrain is that the more RPA pilots wantonly do it, the more those who are hell-bent on legislating even stricter regulation have leverage. That's exactly what happened in the US and subsequently other jurisditions around the world. I was an AMA member and a long-time enthusiast way before quads and electrics came to be (I built and flew 3D RC helis with nitro engines) and so I am very familiar with such history. RPA flights in Boracay is already strictly regulated if not banned and possibly in other areas that we don't know of. Thanks to so many vloggers in the past who had flown their camera quads recklessly and irresponsibly without regard to their surroundings over there. Note that there was already a proposed stricter ordinance in Cebu City beyond the current national CAAP mandate. Kudos to the Mayor for vetoing it late last year but the entities continue to lobby for it. Your stomping ground could be next and I'm concerned that by the time I get there, I will not have such liberty anymore to fly my toys.

Glad the video helped. I’m sure you’ll like staying there. There also a great restaurant right beside (Jose) which I’ve eaten at before but didn’t have a chance to ok this trip.
About the drones. Agreed, reckless drone operators can ruin it for us all. I’m very aware of my surroundings, height and flight paths in the area. But I do appreciate the feedback.

Fun video. We’re not sure why, but we find Bohol so wonderfully different. We just love it there and your videos remind us why. We live in Bauan Batangas. Thank you for your thoughtful and memorable videos.

Bohol Bee Farm looks like a wonderful place to visit with so much to see and do. I'm pleased that you both had a great day Allan and Lobi.
Lots of great places to eat, stay and visit. I wonder if the 7-11 is there to attract the Japanese tourists.

Thank you! Yes, so many good places to eat in Panglao.
I think for the 7-11 it’s for everyone. There so many people at the beach, so many people even just want to buy water and snacks without having to go to a restaurant that’s expensive.

As a Boholano, you should try doing best local foods too, like best bibinka, bubud, torta and so on!! Take us on a journey and find them all along our big island, I'm sure there are lots of goodies to find there.

Great idea! It’s such a big island. I’ll need the help of the locals to point me in the right direction.

Really enjoyed your Alona Beach/Panglao trip. Loved the scenery! I know Alona area can be crowded but I personally like the energy and activity sometimes! Shaka surprisingly has very good coffee. The place you stayed was great for the price since it's clean and close to the tourist center of everything. You can just walk around and enjoy. The 7-11 on Alona Beach is fine but I just wish they didn't stick up that big sign pole. Kind of doesn't look good. But again, loved your video of just simple everyday activities around Bohol. (Panglao is my favorite place!) Keep on rollin"!

Thank you 😀 I’m glad you liked the video. You’re right, Alona does have a good energy. I heard a rumour that they might remodel the outside of 7-11 but that’s just a rumour. Thanks

Thanks again, are there any places of interest that one may want to see if traveling to Bohol? Waterfall's, Zoo's, mountain lookout's etc. etc.👍

Hi! Yes there are all of those things and I should do a video about it. The big thing is that a lot not things very far from each other, so it’s hard all to do in one day if you’re here on vacation.
