The part from 10:35 or so when you start making coffee and breakfast is so peaceful and relaxing to watch-such a destresser. The acoustic guitar that comes in is wonderful. The area is beautiful. Bohol is beautiful. I thank the good Lord above he led me to marry a Filipina! Been married for 30 years this year. We are building a place on Panglao-almost finished. Love all of your videos.

The first tip is that foreigners can't but land.

Never build a house in Phil with an overhang roof. As soon as a hurricane/typhoon hits you run the risk of losing that roof as the winds can get under it. I speak from experience. lost mine in Cebu last time.

Hola! My Filipina wife and I bought land and are working with a local engineer/architect who has good experience and references. I'm curious why it is uncommon to use insulation on the walls over there. It seems that it is only used in the ceiling. Doesn't that cause your electric bills to be higher because of the A/C running more? TIA

i thought this was going to show the proper way to do rebar and talk about how to find hollow blocks that dont crumble in your hands or the proper mix of crushed rock and sand in concrete ratios or how to find workers that will follow correct procedures when building etc...
