    man ive never seen anyone just shove the clothes in like that. You gotta pack the cube well to get the most out of them. Plus you should pack it with the compression zipper undone, then zip it up.

      it's good enough to give you an idea what it can hold - that's the point of the video

  • @higdolini
    @higdolini 5 років тому +9

    Thx. But the main idea of the cubes is to compress. So when showing i.e. the small cube, the goal should have been to show how much space you have when you compress it. The smart way would be to fill it up uncompressed and then compress it not the other way around. Its about compression.

    I was thinking about getting the 30L glad you also showed the packing cube examples with the everyday packs

    Thanks for trying it out on the everyday backpack 30l, was curious if it will fit

    I don't think you quite understand the concept of the expansion zipper.

    • @1KINDPhotography
      @1KINDPhotography  6 років тому +1

      Really? How so? The expansion zipper allows you to expand the bag to give you more room if needed or compress the bag to help pack into a smaller form factor (so as long it can close). You can also check Peak Designs hang out video as well.

      The comment sounds harsher than it was meant. At 2:39 or so you're cramming the bag and trying to zip at the same time. With a compression cube, you expand it to it's fullest size, you fill it, and then you zip the compression zipper. You could have easily gotten a few more shirts into the cube and then compressed it. You could not have easily gotten a few more shirts into the cube doing it the way you did it. That's all.

      @@thirtyeyesyou are correct that I wouldn't be able to fit more shirts the way I did it. I should have unzipped the expansion first. I personally would also use the small packing cube for my socks and unmentionables but no one would want to see that :). Would I really put jeans in it? No but I just wanted to show roughly what it can hold.

    Have you compared it with other packing cubes? I wouldn't say this is a "ultralight" by any means....

    • @1KINDPhotography
      @1KINDPhotography  5 років тому

      Aiden Song I have compared with others from China and retail stores and the Peak Design is thinner and feels lighter.

    All of their travel line stuff is on the kickstarter page, not the peak design webpage. Does the 10% coupon apply to backing and preordering the 45L backpack, camera cubes, pouches etc, from their kickstarter campaign?

    • @1KINDPhotography
      @1KINDPhotography  6 років тому

      Coupon only applies to items purchased on their website. If you want to purchase with the 10%, you will have to wait until it is available on their website. It's cheaper to purchase through Kickstarter as the discount is higher. For instance backpack is $60 off on Kickstarter compared to $30 if you use the 10% coupon when the bags are available on their site.
      You can also purchase their other current products through Kickstarter at a discounted price too. This is done at the end of the campaign when they send out surveys to those who backed.
      The 10% are for those who missed out on the Kickstarter.

      I asked because it wasn't made clear on this and your shoe pouch vid. Hopefully that wasn't intensionally done to pad your referral link kick back.

    • @1KINDPhotography
      @1KINDPhotography  6 років тому +1

      Sorry about that. Considering that the Kickstarter is only for a short time, I only mentioned about the coupon code which only applies to their site. So if you were to watch this video 5 months from now, you'd know to go to Peak Design's website to apply the coupon.
      Kickstarter does not allow input of coupon codes anyways. All the items on there are usually heavily discounted. Once the campaign is over, I will be removing the Kickstarter link.

    Nice video. Thanks for sharing. One recommendation. When trying the cubes in the everyday backpack, i would have also tried stuffing the top and setting the mag latch to its highest setting. That way you can see how much it can hold at maximum capacity.

    Does the Black 45L has the same external material as the Black 20L?

    • @1KINDPhotography
      @1KINDPhotography  6 років тому +1

      The black material is the same for the 20L and 45L. I will have a video on the 45L shortly. Subscribe and hit the bell to be notified when it is posted.

    Thank for review, will u review camera cube ?
    Please, try Sony FE 70200F4 is small camera cube. I think it can but not sure for that

    • @1KINDPhotography
      @1KINDPhotography  6 років тому

      Yes, I will be reviewing the 45L Backpack and medium camera cube. I was not sent a small or large camera cube. I have a Canon 5D Mark IV and M5. But I placed in a 70-200 f4 into the medium bag and it fit fine. So I'm sure the Sony 70-200 f4 will fit with no problem. Anything like a 400mm or 600mm will not fit and will require a large camera cube.
