That was truly exceptional! The beauty of Lake Superior and the Porkies is breathtaking! You are blessed to have known and enjoyed the Porkies since age 3. So, so beautiful and tranquil. The waterfalls bring me calm and joy. You have will power, I would of needed to have fished for some Brook trout for certain. Thank you so much for letting me live vicariously through you. It truly appears the Porkies are heaven on earth. Thank you for sharing. As always, please take the very best of care. Bye. See you at the next adventure!

I was born/raised in the Ontonagon area, but I've been in Colorado for 25 years now... and before that in other places around the world. Although I love CO for what offers, I miss the north country and Lake Superior. I do come back to see family and hike the area - mostly the Porkies - once in a while. Next year I plan to hike a 60ish mile segment of the North Country Trail with my brother. Thanks for the videos - makes me homesick.

Curious if the trail to that cabin is flat / calm enough to pull a wagon or pulk of gear? Loved the video!

From what I recall, that trail is pretty easy. You may want to check with the park office though, some trails do not allow camp wagons/wheels on them.

Pictured Rocks is good for kiddos. Nice and flat for the most part with some backcountry campsites not that far from trailhead parking for your next adventure. There will be a few folks about, however.
