Emma, you are one of the best with a camera, very steady and smooth, you also do a great job with narration. I've never been on a cruise but really enjoy your videos, especially the MSC Meraviglia !!! Thank you for your work.
Another excellent video! We always watch your videos, along with Don's and Tony's. We sailed on the Meraviglia mid October of 2021 and loved the ship. It was absolutely stunning. The food was very good in all of the venues. We really liked that MSC added the heated stone loungers in the thermal area that they didn't have on the Seaside. On this sailing, there was only 786 guests onboard. There was more staff than there were guests. There were no lines for anything, anything at all. Being that the ship was so empty, there was zero energy on board, which was fine since we were looking to spend a week being lazy. We have never had a problem with MSC and we are booked on the Seashore for this September.
Thank you for a great ship tour and letting us know about the status match program, you're amazing!! We will be sailing on her 4/2020 and are really looking forward to the experience, happy sailing.
@@EmmaCruises I got greedy for Italian food and booked a solo NCL from Rome Dec 1-17. I attempted to use your TA but got quoted higher price vs NCL site. Sorry 🥺

The Dome is spectacular would love to see that, we would spend plenty of time in the pub too! As you asked for feedback on Facebook, love your editing, and smooth filming and the titles sliding in and out, only thing is they came and went quick so would of just liked a little longer to read them. It looks a very cool ship! Love your graphics at the end too, great video!
After cruising on Celebrity and sampling some of their specialty restaurants I find MSC's specialty restaurants just ok. Celebrity's specialty restaurants is all you can eat. You can try multiple dishes for one price. When my wife and I dined at Meraviglia's Butchers Cut, I was disappointed that it was not all you can eat. Don't get me wrong, the steak was very good but it was not all you can eat and or could not try other dishes. Strange, I could not find CruisingIsntJustForOldPeople Facebook Group. But I did find your Emma Cruises group. Great review. Thank you for taking the time during your cruise to video and then post it.
Very informative video. I've never cruised MSC but have been curious and it's cool to know MSC does "status matching" from other lines. Definitely an incentive to give them a try. I'm a Celebrity person. Like Celebrity, MSC sports a modern interior design which I favor over something more traditional like Princess.
Hey! Thanks for your lovely comment. Yep the status match is easy to do. I'm trying my first celebrity cruise in May, just a weekend in silhouette but it'll be nice to try them.
Wow, It looks like you are walking around inside a shopping mall on land and not a cruise ship. I noticed there are not a lot of windows to look out of on that deck. When I'm on a cruise I want to feel I'm on a ship not in a mall on land. For sure different from NCL & Royal C. Great Video, I enjoy your channel very much.
Thank you for your tours and tips. I'm on Wonder in the fall and would like to try MSC soon. Is this the ship that is probably the closest to the Wonder of the Seas if I'm going just for the ship? 🙂
@@EmmaCruises Hey Emma. Only AIDAcara and AIDAaura. But will be on AIDAnova in november. She looks great. I actually started with ferries in northern europe like Silja Line, Smyrilline etc. Have a great day.
Maybe I need to wait for part two to have my question(s) answered? I'm confused about the meal (plan?) I realize that there are some restaurants that you will pay for everything but... Can you cruise with basic inclusive meal plan? Are all alcoholic drinks extra? Is the buffet breakfast included in your ticket price? Are most internal activities included or do you pay an upcharge to experience them? For the Meraviglia, what was your daily food budget (excluding alcohol)? Great video and thank you for sharing your experience with us.
Hi Emma. I have had a 7 day cruise on Norwegian Epic and was wondering can I transfer my loyalty points across to MSC Meraviglia and if so how do I go about doing it. Thanks in advance. Mick 👍🥂
If you love the Meraviglia, you should try the Seaside/Seaview ships. They are gorgeous, and the way they are build to not have the lifeboats disturbe the outside views makes them really uniqe in my opinion.
Looks nice but looks like a shopping mall. Why is that the new thing? I can just go to the mall, or a british pub? Where are the windows and the ocean?
Don't know the tonnage of this one, but it looks a bit big for my taste. I have found that on ships of 1000 ft. (300M) or more in length, it is just too tiring walking to everything. Maybe it has something to do with the layout of the ships, but it seems like much of the time what I want to do is at the other end of the ship. I am not lazy, but I am 70 years old, and walking this distance multiple times a day, plus some stairs, is a bit much. Regarding the stairs- I know all of the ships have elevators, but I have also experienced long waiting times to get one. Anyway, I am now looking at ships of 50,000 tons or less. A couple of the best cruises I have ever been aboard were on ships of under 30,000 GRT.
You just said it yourself Emma. You said "It doesn't seem like a cruise ship at all". And I absolutely agree with you. I can save tons of money by just going to any shopping mall in my neighborhood and get exactly the same experience. Cause that's exactly what it looks like. You mentioned how many bars there where, one cruise I took I saw 2 older people crawling on there hands and knees up the stairs to the excursion deck and over heard them saying, "your brochure said there was 10 bars on this ship and we only found 9 of them, which one did we miss?" :) You mentioned about having to eat at the rear of the ship over the engines and the vibrations, One cruise I took from Miami to South and central America and Mexico on the way back there was 10' sea's and an issue with an engine. It got so bad the plates where vibrating off the table. Even the waiters where falling down. I've only been on 5 cruises, but everyone turned out to be a disaster. Never once was it the cruise company's fault! 99% of the time I just picked the wrong person to go with. Eg: I paid for my mother and two sons to go on a Thanksgiving cruise, at the last min. my oldest son did not want to go so I changed it to my sort of new girl friend instead. Within an hour all 3 got sea sick (not sure why there was no rough seas) so asked them if they minded if I left them in the cabin while I checked out the ship and they said OK. I came back at 10:00 PM and they where all up and my girlfriend was in the shower. My mother told me she's really pi**ed off at you for not coming home last night. We had an inside cabin and some how she thought it was 10:00 am not PM. She stayed mad at me for 7 days and would not speak to me, even though she was wrong. This lady had 0 money, I'd paid for her cruise, bought all her all new clothes, paid for someone to take care of her two children while we where gone. Guess I'm just a magnet for mental midgets. So sorry for the long vent!
Hey Sheryl, what do you mean pay for everything? The only thing I paid extra for on this cruise was drinks. MSC are also one of the cheapest cruise lines in my experience. Certainly couldn't cruise on many others for the price I paid for this one. Thanks for your comment!
Dear Emma, the thing with pizza&pasta is that I wouldn't necessarily call that Mediterranean food. More like Italian "let's feed a gazillion ignorant tourists" food. It's what you get almost exclusively if you go to any major Italian city's most touristy area. If you want real Mediterranean, or even real, genuine, great Italian food (such as squid prepared in it's own ink for example), you need to "boldly go where no man has gone before", to a small hidden village or some remote back streets where the locals go. The pizza&pasta combo is great, but even with the huge variety within the "genre", it gets absolutely boring in a very short time. I remember after my trip to Rome I got so fed up with that, when I came home I gave a wide berth to every place that had pizza or pasta on their menu for a long time, I didn't even want to see those.
