They were the dogs nuts back in the day, perfect cruise machine. At least you can salvage some parts and the drive train. Would slip into a WB ute just nicely, put a 4 barrell holley on it, zoom zoom.👍
Great to see the ole gurl fire up Kyle.. Hope you are well mate?? Team work from the while family awesome to see mate great content as always Kyle 👍 👏 👌
of course it will run. why does every video these day have "will it run" ?? even a lawn mower will run after sitting for 20 years. hmmm Frigidaire air con compressor ... great units but they weigh as much as the transmission.
@davehad-enough2369 not everything will run after 20 years, what a ridiculous statement to make. When we purchased this car there was no mention of it being a runner, all I knew from inspecting it is that it turned over by hand and was missing the cap off the distributor and missing the starter motor. Thanks for watching.
As a son of a Holden dealer my father had these as demos, beautiful cars when new, contessa Gold by the looks too
If only we could turn back the clock, hey?
Very nicely done boys! Engine sounds great, shame the body is so rotten. Good video
Yes it’s a shame this one.
I even have the original bill of sale from when the car was bought new.
Shame hey as it would be nice restored
@@IanCampbell-sh3si the body is far too gone to ever restore.

Unsure what will happen with the running gear at this stage. The rest will be up for wrecking though, keep a few more on the road hopefully.

Doing well on my end, hope the same for you and your family mate
Looks cool as,even if it is rusty AF.😆...... Nice one lads.
Thanks for watching Ben.
Motor sounds great, still a lot of salvageable parts on this 1.
Yep has lots of goodies to give up to keep others on the road.
Awesome cars when new. Beautifully styled with probably THE best designed dash ever. Shame about all the bloody rust in this one though.
They’re a nice dash, not sure about the best designed though 😆
Original owner definitely ticked the rust option ✅
Fu@# mate I love ya vid ❤️ it shame it not driving got to love old statesman but it is what it is hope there more statesman vids
How is the frame on this car? If the frame is rotted, then this car would be a good parts car
I hope so
Gday
looks like last rego run out 28/10/2003
cheers
That’s correct mate and judging by some of the rubbish in the car one of the last trips was to Mickey Ds dated 2003 too.
@@TheRestoShedand the rust on it wow looks like it might of been near the sea or used as a boat launcher and what part of sa u in ?
cheers
@scummyinoz I reckon it might’ve launched a few boats in it day for sure.
Not sure where she came from originally.
Shame about the rust. Would be an awesome car otherwise.
A bit of a strange Deville this one with some of its optional extras.
