Crab Stuffed Calamari in Marinara Sauce - The Ultimate Seafood Appetizer
Вставка
- Опубліковано 8 гру 2021
- Checkout this Stuffed Calamari in Marinara Sauce Recipe! Chef Dom put his spin on stuffed calamari by adding fresh crab meat in the stuffing mix. You will absolutely love this crab stuffed squid cooked in Marinara sauce. Great for your Christmas Eve feast and want to celebrate the Seven Fishes tradition.
Stuffed squid can be prepared in many ways, and every family seems to have their own mixture of ingredients and style of cooking them. Squid dishes are universal around many of the seaside cities of Italy, and the roots of stuffed calamari are unknown. Some cite it as Sicilian creation. Some refer to it as ‘calamari ripieni all Amalfitano’, being a recipe typical of the Amalfi peninsula. Others maintain that it is from Naples, where they call it by a name in the local language, ‘calamari. Wherever it came from, you can make it your own.

We are glad we did too!
Thank you for showing us those delicious calamari fratelli di Brooklyn . Your mom is adorable. My mom was also an excellent cook, and I missed her cooking,God took her in 2018. With some of that sauce that will taste calamari I would love to make some linguine on the side. God bless you all.

Thanks!!!
Nice and simple. I make this every Christmas Eve. I usually add a couple of chopped up shrimp and also some of the chopped up tentacles as well.
Hi John! I’m hat sounds good! Net time, we’ll need to try that. Merry Christmas!
Being Jewish, we don't have to wait until Christmas eve for the 7 Fishes. (We did a Christmas Eve Night of Seven Fishes a few years back in honor several of our Italian friends. Having lived in Italy for 7 years, we consider ourselves "Italian converts". Sadly, we only managed to get six of the seven down... Hey, you grow up with this, you know how do it properly. We tried) My only problem with this is how much crab to add to a cup of bread crumbs. This looks like a great problem to have. Grazie mille!
6 out of 7 ain’t bad! Equal parts of the crab and breadcrumbs.
Fresh ingredients are the best.
Yes they are!
Delicious

Hey Mick I wish we could
this yiddishe bucha boy from LI, loves this but I am married to a Brooklyn girl!
The Calamari looks so delicious, as does the Marinara. Is the recipe in print anywhere? I was writing it down, but I kept watching the video. Thank you.🍅
I’ll have to get that to you.
Thank you so much
Dominick-What brand of chef’s knife are you using in this video?
I stuff my calamari with ricotta, I've never made it with bread crumbs, going to try this, looks delicious
We have never tried it with ricotta cheese. Will have to try that one.
Katrina - ricotta & fish ??? thats a weird combo .We always use bread crumbs for stuffing any fish 🐟
I got to ask, some 60 years ago as a kid my first job was working in an Italian restaurant I remember they had tomatoe sauce and marina sauce.Tomato sauce was smooth and the marina sauce was chunkier. Is that the only difference.I started as a sofa bottle sorter and progressed up to pantry man pizza maker and all around preparer.
Marinara is made with garlic, olive oil, fresh basil and of course, salt and pepper. The sauce is typically used for seafood pasta dishes.
I wonder if panko breadcrumbs would be better than plain breadcrumbs?
🤔
Can use immatetion crab meat for this recipe
🤔
I never use only fresh crab
It kills me to watch this and not get to eat it
Do you guys live in Texas? I'm new to the channel and I'm from New York and was curious on why you left Brooklyn.
