I think a fun addition to this format for future videos is anime-only cards since then you've got the additional mind game of the card being recognizable but figuring out if it ever got printed in Animation Chronicles or is just card that keeps appearing in reddit wishlist posts
The "dude in a cloak" is Vector, he's one of the villains from Zexal. As soon as I saw that the card had nothing to do with Xyz monsters, I figured it was fake.
In fact, it's Mizar/Mizael, hence the Tachyon

With Psychic Bounder, there used to be a weird thing where Jinzo 'was' THE psychic monster, thematically, and since he was a machine, everything psychic related was also machine related.
Then they added Psychic monsters.
fun fact about fire sorcerer, teia used her in the anime and banished pot of greed (which she was holding in her hand from turn 1 for no reason)

I love that the only reason I knew the last card waa 100% fake is because "Zeromus" is the name of a major Final Fantasy antagonist/boss enemy, so in my head there was no way that was on a Yugioh card

@@ducksplain Zeromus is a combination of Zemus, which is Amharic for "Prayer" and Zero (either to represent the void or because adding "Zero" to something sounds cool) so yeah, there actually is an etymological origin.

Dimension distortion is actually reasonably popular in duel links because theres a skill for firewall dragon that puts like a bunch of big link monsters in your banishment and you can access any of them with it for free material.
Can't you just run d.d.r? I believe it is in the game

Zeromus is the name of the final boss of Final Fantasy 4 so that was a big give away to me.
This type of video makes me wish there were big Yugitubers tbh at had a series playing around with custom yugioh cards like in a history of Jank format. Import a few hundred in and get to brewing it would be so fun
i knew immediately that refract bounder was fake because the psct did not specify WHICH monster would be destroyed. it's ambiguous whereas if it were real it would say either "that monster you control" or "that attacking monster"

@@lefthandedscout9923 That text is actually relevant as if the effect is negated but not the activation you can't attempt to activate a second one. If there is no hard once per turn and the effect is negated you'd still be able to summon in that turn.

@@lefthandedscout9923 Putting aside how it otherwise is very clunky and stupid on its PSCT (doesn't target; uses 'and' instead of 'then'; is immediately liable for rulings nightmares because it doesn't account for replays). the general restrictions on cards are written with practicality above fringe cases. You don't need once-per-turns on these sort of effects unless they have a different effect functioning. Most cards do not negate effects, they negate activations.
It's like putting a hard once per turn on a card that can only be activated at the start of a specific phase. Like okay sure there are cards that make there be two battle phases but cards with an 'at the start of the battle phase' aren't given unnecessary HOPT for that fringe case.
'Dimension Distortion' is actually a really good going second card. The text does not specify the removed from play card must be yours so you can in fact special summon your opponents removed from play monster, and seen as its your first turn there should be no cards in your graveyard yet. Its niche but it works.
Trivia : 1 - Rafael had a copy of it in his deck in the Anime.
2 - It is the first card ever printed that special summoned a monster that is removed from play.
3 - Monster emerging from the hole is Zera the Mant ( this is not confirmed but I believe it could be true )

You should have used some cards that have incorrect PSCT, like Armored Bitron which has a colon instead of a semi-colon after its cost. That might have tripped him up if he had noticed it and thought the AI was making a mistake.

I knew Fire Sorcerer because it was briefly talked about as a potential target for Mimighoul Maker to make your opponent banish 2 from hand. However, that sucks balls because it's a 50/50 which field it goes to face-down.
Vouburial is a hand trap, that destroys a 1500atk or less atk monster, after the opponent link summons.-How is it bad?

Dimensional Rift looks like something from the Gagagigo line. I only think this because I just watched a 10-ish minute lore video about that card and it's rather amazing journey.

37:00 I mean, if nothing else, it's really useful for just cleaning up in a simplified board state. Clone the biggest monster on the field and swing. If its yours, now you have 3 big monsters, if its theirs, you have something you can crash with theirs, and another to hit with. They aren't even destroyed afterwards, so you're not forced to figure out what sort of link or synchro play you want to go into with them, you can just leave big dude on the field. Sure it's slow, but it's not a -bad- card.
ok, NOW I LIKE THIS, i always hated this kind of video where "people who don't know anything reacts to card" because , well, they don't know anything and its terrible to watch.
but grab an expert yugioh player and throw him a lot of random shit to see if he knows and explain why he reached that conclusion and now it is quality content.
The newer cards were the only ones where I struggled. Even when it came to cards I've never played, if they're in Master Duel I was able to tell if they were real or not instantly.
That last cool card was named after a FF final boss, and I immediately knew it was fake because of that.

I thought MBT watched the anime why is he so surprised that Psychic Bounder is Jinzo support they were both cards played by Espa Roba as was the theme with all jinzo support cards. It's funny that as I was looking at Zeromus I was thinking "Chimera has a decent amount of Darks and can be special summoned by the fusions this could be playable" then Cimo reveals the original card and it's an Illusion.

I think the dragon on Dimension Distortion is the Blue-eyes White dragon.
There are very few dragons in the game that have those tusks on the side. Some of the art has blue-eyes with four digits on each hand and others have three. The only other dragon it could be is lesser dragon, but that one doesn't have any tusks. Also the teeth are spaced out like the blue-eyes and the position of the eye is basically in the same general area further down the snout which isn't typical for most other dragons.

Twin Headed Wolf is actually a card I own. And I recognized it. Because I only play digitally and all cards I have are ones I got as gifts over the years. And for whatever reason that card is even in english. (I'm German so I really don't know where it came from)
One good thing about Zexstagger is that you can re-summon monsters like resonance but their effects still go off cuz they are activated on send to GY so they are technically not on the field anymore meaning resonance gets to resolve

The fact that "Reality's End" is a trap card makes the special summon restriction not that big of a deal, since it only lasts the turn you use it. That's what made me think it was AI.

As soon as Psychic Bounder came up, i knew he’d get it wrong lol. I knew it was fake because i spent 1-2 weeks of grinding Espa Roba in duel links to get Jinzo Jector, and Psychic Bounder is part of the Jinzo archtype lol.
Dimension distortion actually has a place in Darkfluid Link in Duel links 😂😅
I think Vouiburial is going for Vouivre which is a french monster that is etymologically related to wyvern (but looks completely different) combined with burial

16:44 now tbh it's made this way due to the anime. Since in the anime Reflect Bounder was used by the duelist who used Jinzo. So like with a lot of cards like that it got made into support to fit better with an archetype. it's just unlike many others this was used in the actual game by people in higher ranked play. So it might not be easy to see the connection.
The galaxy tachyon card, kinda looked like it would be a spell, just from its colours on the art work.

Fire Sorcerer is actually a funny mimighoul tech, if you believe in hitting your maker 50/50 you can cheese out a double handrip, or even a quadruple handrip if you have access to mimighoul room + a way to flip it up
Not hard if all you have to do it is book it with room and summon a 2nd archfiend
I have once been given two of these by a FIRE pile running a bunch of awful cards and had them flipped up before my standby phase.
