We live in Claremore, OK! We just bought a boat that is in Three Forks Harbor in Muskogee. We are planning on starting the loop next year!! I am so glad I stumbled upon your videos.

We won’t be too far from Muskogee when we get into Oklahoma. We will be turning around in Oklahoma and doing the whole loop in the right direction so we may run into you somewhere along the way!

But seriously, yes, we are posting videos - generally a new one every Saturday morning - as we make our way to Oklahoma. We just pulled in to Memphis today and our videos are catching up to us so it won’t be long before they show Oklahoma! Stay tuned !!!
@@CruisingThisOldBoat lol. Talala is the closest town. We actually are blessed to live on a point on lake Oologah (Dark Cloud In Cherokee) with 180° lake views.

those pronautic chargers are popular, Ive installed quite a few, replacing the old Charles chargers. I did have one that went into error mode because of a bad temp sensor. Disconnected it and that fixed the problem. Customer support is really good. Glad you got the 40 amp, as the next sizes smaller 1230,1220, 1215 have very small terminals for the battery legs. you can get the remote panel for those as an option fyi. dont forget to hook up the bonding wire on the left

POSTUM....My Dad drank that during the shortages of the Second World War. I didn't know it still existed. I am now 87 years old and still remember when he let me take a sip......a shiver just went through my whole body remembering the awful taste.

Looking at Tulsa and all I see is a commercial basin, I don't see any anchorages let alone marinas! I wonder how long they will let you stay at the Rogers Landing Park dock? Three Forks Harbor is over 40 mile away as the crow's fly. We plan on making it there to visit our folks in Rogers Ark...
@@stevetadlock5223 - there are a lot of unknowns. We tried making calls to get some answers but without success. That is one of the reasons we decided to just try it and to document our attempt so others will know what it is really like! Hopefully it will all go well.

@@RLoose9494 - We have discovered you are correct about there being limited information on boating the Arkansas. At first we questioned whether we should attempt it given the scant and sometimes contradictory information but then we decided we would just go and see if it can be done. Hopefully our videos will help others to not be afraid to visit Oklahoma.
At least you’ll be with the current on the Mississippi. Don’t know where you are on your trip as I write this, but there are 2 30-day lock closures on the Tenn-Tom early Sept to early October (Aberdeen and Stennis). Carry some Jerry cans too, fuel and marinas get scarce south of Cairo on the Mississippi. I’m currently in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, crewing with a friend. Left Quebec 20 days ago. I’ll be watching the journey.

We are currently making our way towards the Arkansas River which will take us to Tulsa. But first: the Tenn Tom, Tennessee, and Mississippi Rivers.
Yea I’m excited for those to. Tulsa is just so much closer to me. And I have thought that it would be a neat trip as the port of Catoosa so many don’t know about.
@@joshporter6202 - you are correct but we are not sure if there is anywhere to stop in the Port of Catoosa. Do you have any intel on that? Otherwise we will just be running up there and then turning right back around and returning to the Kerr Reservoir.
@@CruisingThisOldBoatI wish I did know more. But from my understanding it’s mostly a barge shipping port. I don’t know anything more about it though.

Why Tulsa?
@@peterinsyracuse7056 - because we are insane? Due to mechanical problems with Elixir combined with family commitments, it would have been too late in the year to start the loop. So we looked for somewhere to hide from hurricane season and preferably somewhere we haven’t been so that it would be interesting for our viewers. That got us looking at the river system. We have family in Oklahoma so we went hmmm. And sure enough, it looks like we can get there. Although we are not 100% certain. We hope something out of the ordinary will be exciting for us and our viewers. Tulsa is as far as the navigable river goes so that’s how we settled on Tulsa.
