We are heading up to Georgian Bay and North Channel for much of 2025 from home port in Munising Pictured Rocks. As you said, just have to have no go days
@@ROMILoopers Actually she technically can't turn anyone away as it is a federal port of refuge. They will find you a spot even if you have to tie up to another boat. I've never heard of anyone being turned away.??
Wow, that has not been our experience when ever we have been there. Carla has gone out of her way to accommodate us. Even last year when we were headed home, we just need to provision and to get fuel. She put us up on the barges so we could go to the stores and eat lunch. Plus her staff are very friendly along when the rest of the town. Even the grocery store owner who is about a mile out of town. He drove me back to the marina and helped carry my grocery's to the boat, and would not take a tip.. Very strange???

Are u headed to the Bahamas now. Sept 17th
Not yet! We are making our way through the inland rivers. Hopefully weather will cooperate for a December crossing
Wow! Tobermory not friendly? That has def. not been our experience in the past 15 yrs of going there. Very strange that this would happen....
We found it odd as well. I noted several commercial docks in the harbour and perhaps that was the motivation for the harbourmaster to turn us around.
