Hey, just a thing I discovered recently: some of those basic rails you showed that doesn’t have the elevated version actually have a bridge version. They just get a small railing and simple pillars, but are very useful for lots of situations when you need less being more The tutorial is being great so far (haven’t finished yet), loving this kind of video
These tutorials are perfect. It's so helpful to see some of the ways you have created your masterpiece cities. It was especially cool to see how you constructed the double-decker bridge. I struggled to get a decent looking one working in a city. Please keep the tutorials coming. They really do help.
You should try making buildings from scratch. Ive only been playing around with PO for a month but Im completely hooked on making buildings from nothing using the cube that comes with PO
shit i just noticed u're making a new tutorial series, going to watch them all! i really value ur technique that's why i think ur tutorials may be the best in terms of network infrastructure, keep up with this usefull (pro like) content
I played cities about 3 or so years ago. thought I remembered changing the elevation either way of a road being part of the vanilla game with no mod. But now that I have come back to the game, I can't figure out how to do it. Am I just forgetting that I must've installed a mod before?
I have this stupid problem where i use PageUp and PageDown (keyboard) to elevate the road but it doesnt build a bridge. It just elevates the ground. I cant fix it :(
The game uses different road types (elevation modes) that need to be switched, just moving them up or down won't do that, you need Network Anarchy mod.
@@klrdrawings2205 Because you actually need to manually switch the road types, just moving it up or down won't do it. Check out the description of Network Anarchy mod.
There are many asset collections to do it. UK roads, Shuto expressway pack, German roads... it depends on what you want. Currently I use the UK roads for highways, they are narrow enough for my fictional city. I use to use Shuto pack but they are glitchy and I got sick of them.
@@Barcn make sure your FPS Booster settings (and just the games graphics settings in general) do not cap the frame rate low on the loading screen. for some reason the games loading speed is tied to the frame rate. at 15fps (think thats the FPS Booster default) my city takes almost 10 minutes to load, but at 144fps its less than 1 minute.

Procedural objects is just an insane tool. It basically makes everything imaginable possible.
very true one of THE best mods ever

It also helps to build quick and dirty elevated junctions, as the pre-builts are all nodeless and I am too lazy to build custom
@@briannem.6787 didn’t know it worked for that. Thanks for the info

If you hold alt while rotating with MoveIt it will rotate in steps of 45° :)
Or if you just right click
Akuras, AmiPolizeiFunk's Awning set contains pillars that are great for building cables with. They're the right diameter and also decently tall.
