The steam rice cake with coconut in South side Viet Nam we call it “bánh đúc”. It’s a firmer version and different than the North side’s “bánh đúc” which is more loose and sticky. We use it with sweet fish sauce, fry futons, scallion oil and pickles make from radish and carrot .

Cate Zone has Northeat Chinese food, there's a soup dumpling shop next door, and Royal Chinese BBQ a little further east of that.
Cate Zone and Royal Chinese BBQ were right by the bubble tea place from his other video, in Olive Supermarket!
Can't wait for your next hotpot video, you usually do them in the winter and it is how I know it will be the wonderful season soon😁
You need to check out The Blind Goat in Houston! It’s a Vietnamese restaurant and the executive chef is blind. Her name is Christine Ha and she won Masterchef season 3
It’s not a trunk it’s a tailgate. Tailgate dining with Mikey Chen

I keep telling him he needs to go to Lil Thai House in Longview.
Everytime he says he wish it was more spicy... I'm like can someone please invite him to Hot Ones 🔥

I love how Mike just casually says "and of course pieces of blood in here as well" like... duh. Blood. Of course.
Haha, i kinda understand your expression, but tbf to Mike, that piece of blood is always part of that dish, along with the crab cake, fried tofu. I m a Vietnamese, and that piece of blood is part of many of our dishes, noodles, it tastes good ofc if you are familiar with the culture and some dishes.
Your egg tart joke got me good. This is just the video I needed on a rainy day in Washington.
