Came across this problem at the weekend. Followed your instructions and boiler and heating restarted. Thank you for sharing.
The same with me. Thanks for sharing 😊
Mate you are a star! First day of a 2 week holiday and got this fault, all sorted now thanks to your perfect video. Thanks again!
Glad I could help
Really useful video. Just been away for the evening and had exact same fault code. Had a brush round and a good tap as suggested and works perfectly now. Thank you so much!!!
Glad it helped.
I came on holiday to the same error code. I read the trouble shooting guide, I googled it and looked at a number of other UA-cam videos and nothing worked. Residing myself to spending money I had one last search and found your video. Can't thank you enough, I owe you a pint.
+When I Roam glad it was of help and hope it’s okay now. 👍🚐
@@yorkshiremotoroamers It worked a treat! I didn't have a hammer though so used the end of a Bottle Opener 🤣
Thank you for posting this. It saved us a lot of trouble and expense. All the best and happy and save motorhoming. Kind regards
You are welcome! I'm happy it worked for you. Thanks for watching.
Many thanks for taking the time to share the information with fellow motorhomes
Terry
Glad it was helpful!
Brilliant advice thank you. Just bought ours, electric fan stopped working, changed to gas, works again thanks.
Many thanks for posting this, it saved our holiday, fault came on at start of our fortnight away was able to clear fault, loads of hot water good on yer mate
You’re welcome 👍🚐
Great video. Very useful. My boiler fan went while away last week. Returned home and followed the advice, tapping with the toffee hammer. Fan now back working and saving on the cost of getting an engineer out! Many thanks 👍👍👍
+Ian Dawson Great. Glad the video helped. 👍🚐
Hi, just watched your video re: Truma motor fault….very useful for me…my boiler failed last month….not sure if I had seen that exact error code but I may have done….however…my boiler eventually went into lockout…E41 H….
I took it to a Truma guy in Morocco today, he reset it and guess what:: seems the motor is on its way out, running now but not sure how long it will last, ….hopefully until the motor is replaced…great video…well presented.
I hope it keeps running for you. Strangely enough, our Truman boiler (different motorhome) has just thrown up an error code and because it is sited in a ridiculous place with poor access, I've knocked a wire off while trying to do a hard reset 😒. We are just about to cross the channel heading to Spain 🇪🇸 with no heating or hot water.
Hope it's warmer in Spain.
I am confussed and thankful. I had the E89H code come up on my Coachman. Check the code which says problem with "Pcb /combustion fan". Contacted my repairer who confirmed most likely the fan was the cause, but was booked until July. But I watched your video and thought its nowhere near the fan in question, but the Air intake motor. I decided to clean my combustion fan and air motor and give it a tap. and low and behold it all now working. Still confussed but now happy..thanks.
When I had this E89H error code I called for a mobile caravan/motorhome engineer who showed me how to simply tap the collar shown in the video. it worked fine for the next 18 months reappearing just once, out came the toffee hammer and it was working again!
Thank you very much for posting this. Took a few knocks but eventually the fan whirred up to vent. And the error code cleared.
+steen1976 Brilliant. Glad the video helped. 👍😂
Thanks, we had the same. Just tapped a few times on the motor and the vent went as usual.
Thanks again, very useful video! Ben
Hi Kev & Tracy, glad you got issue sorted, some great info on what to do, hopefully that's cured the error fault 👍
I hope so too. So far so good. Always useful to share these tips we pick up. Hope you are both well. Kev & Tracey.
Thanx so mutch for this video, it really saved me.
Thankyou ..for information I followed tips and corrected fault ..thanks for your time .
Happy it helped 👍
Very good. It works. Truma service would sell me new Fan. Happy and 1000 Thanks
Good vlog on error code. Thanks for sharing. Nigel. 👍👍
Very welcome. Glad you enjoyed it.👍
Error code E89 is for the combustion fan , what the engineer tapped and what you have pointed to on the Truma diagrams is the air circulation fan!.It has a centrifugal fan . The combustion fan is at the centre top of the unit behind another panel and has an axial fan on the outside, along with a pcb and a centrifugal fan inside the gas combustion chamber intake
Thank you Boss! It really helps 👍👍👍
Good info for future reference thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for watching. It’s always good to learn little tips like this and share. 👍🚐
Excellent Video
Thank you very much!
Excellent video, it worked for me. Thanks
Thank you, a slight tap and my code has gone and the fan is working fine again
Glad it helped. it's always good to share these little tips. Thanks for watching.
Same here. Hopefully it stays like that :) Thank you!
saturday afternoon setting up van for sunday journey to the lake district. error code E89H appeared, dealer closed so resorted to Utube. Light tap on shaft as suggested to clear the carbon and hey presto problem solved. thanks much appreciated
Glad to be of help.
many Thanks from Czech Republic, it was help full, the issue E 89 h does not more appear.
Thank you it helped me out.
Hi Kev good video.
Did the engineer say why there was a carbon build up.
Do you think you get more using the gas or electric .
Regards Mark.
Hi Mark, thanks for watching. The engineer explained that the carbon build up was from the bushes in the fan motor when spinning around. He didn't say if you get more carbon build up from either gas or electric but so far it's working fine. All the best. Kev.
First time I hear about carbon residue on an LPG unit (for diesel it's quite common). Is this thing for real?
Also, residue on the fan...I don't buy this. Residue can be only inside the burning chamber. This could be only dirt imho.
Have just found this, Are we then to believe that the codes are next to useless as E89H is a gas combustion motor fault, yet by giving the air circulation motor a clout it somehow fixes it ?
Hi have you ever came across the E25H error code on a trauma system
No, I've just check in my Truma CP Plus handbook and on Truma's website, and there is no listing for that code. Maybe ring the Truma UK HQ and ask their advice, they're very helpful.
I tried your fix as my Truma 4e was doing the same, my heater will run on gas or electric for a period of time then stops again. Any other ideas my error code is 6.
I meant to add my control panel is a different type.
YOU TRY GETTING THE COVERS BACK ON.ARGGG
I really don't think this is correct information.
