- I was very lucky to be given the chance of a cab ride from London to Nottingham with East Midlands Trains on a an HST, Class 43 43049, and returned to London in the cab of 222102.
Here in Italy there are not diesel-trains that powerful and fast, because all the main lines are electrified . I love Hst. Wonderful video, congratulations.
Many thanks I was privileged to go on it
Great video... Love the sound of that engine! 👍😀
Many thanks
Nice video. I note the splatters of oil on the engine; I've often thought the VP185s sound like there's something loose inside.
This is really awesome! The 43 was such an amazing train! Wouldn’t it be great if MHR got a set as part of their collection one day? Talking about MHR, the diesel gala was good wasn’t it? Inspired me to start my own channel - nowhere near as good as your own but feel free to check it out, I captured most of the trains operating over the weekend! Going to try to get some mainline trains too and aim for a daily video release.

Class 43?
Yes a class 43 HST (not a Warship)
What's the purpose of the chime every minute or so? Is it to keep the driver awake?
What happens if there isn’t a engine in the back of the train?
It could still run, but it would be underpowered
Is that Kettering Station at 1.29 ?
Yes we did go through Kettering
@@Altondigitalimage my local station for many years as there was no service where I live (corby) for a long time
