Love the build man! Heads up, I shredded a rubber coupler and put those same LG billet aluminum couplers on my z last year. They put a lot of wear on my pilot bearing and input shaft. I considered a solid driveshaft, but I’m only 550whp, so I went back to rubber couplers. They provide some flex and seem to take it easier on the pilot bearing

I had to drop the rear again a few months later because my headers burned through my clutch line and started a fire (thank God I had a fire extinguisher). The DEI wrap was crap and was falling apart, and i likely didn’t tuck the line back far enough after putting the trans back in. I considered cutting the line and replacing it, but it was braided and I wanted another new slave. Had a shop drop the rear this time, and they found excessive wear on the tip of the input shaft where it mates with the pilot bearing. I can only assume the billet couplers were to blame since it was a relatively new pilot bearing, but who knows
I read about that on the forums, but if that input shaft has any damage to it, nicks or what have you you will be eating that pilot bearing fast and you have to replace the unit. Had to do the same on a 200k zr1 build that a local "speed shop" fucked up during installation and didn't let the owner know. Those rubber couplings work damn well on this aforementioned 1300whp zr1 with a 300 shot built for half mile racing and on my buddyz c6z making 1500whp spinning to 9500rpm on a solid roller cam paired to a 427 LSX.

Stock ZR1 tops out I'm 6th. 5th and 6th are both OD's like the Z06 ratios but they are shorter. Zr1 .81 5th and .68 6th. Z06 is .74 5th and .5 6th. Stock zr1 is 186 at top of 5th. Because of the .74 6th and higher redline in the z06 it will do over 200. This is of corse the "performance" gear set for zr1. You can also get the .74 and .5 in zr1 in later years

Nice setup man! I'm working on my LSX 388 with 2650 build :) I have a C5 but already did the C6 TR6060 and Diff (from a 2012). I thought all the C6Z came with a TR6060 already?? Idk...
To be honest got whipple 2.9 all supporting mods and 3.5 pulley not totally sure didn't ask last tune which was in August 2022, it ran stronger and better and faster, make long story short lol the tune I had done in 2021 was at 12lbs boost..
I was told once I get lower pulley I could add more boost. At 3.0 my blower was spinning faster then the engine, you know what dat means!! Bigger cam is needed!! Soon

Love the ride man, car is a beast. Did you have any trouble bolting up the ZR1 trans. Driveshaft and everything the same? I was thinking of doing that with my cammed 2006 Z06. I ended up rebuilding the t56 myself with a G-force main shaft and HD input shaft, plus some billet keys. if that doesnt hold i'm going either Tick performace t56 maguim or the ZR1 trans like you did. Keep up the good work!
Don’t sleep on RPM transmission either. They sent me a built T-56 for my +1000hp C6Z build and it had a bad back cut on 1st gear. They paid for everything without a fight. A+ customer service.
How you like that trans on 28s? I feel the gearing is lil too much for 60s, making it kinda lazy on the hit, ZR1s can pull it off cuz of the pd blower/torque.
@@McgradyRacing try rotating the rears, move the left to the right etc. I'll rotate radials every other street outing. Something about how the rubber lays on the tire, oddly works, works like a new tire again
