Voici un portage de ma petite démo revisité sur Unreal Engine 5 - Ігри
I spent countless days in 2000-2001 playing this and seeing this made me cry from amazement! Epic work!
Homestly, the limitations (and capabilities) of sixth gen on DC is what makes Shenmue I so special. There is a melancholic beauty to Sakuragaoka, Yamanose, Dobuita as portrayed in the original 1998 version that just evaporates when rendered in current day engines.
That said, what a beautiful video!

So beautiful! Something weird about Ryo’s walk cycle, but other than that it’s perfect. I really wish SEGA/AM2/Yu Suzuki would get together and instead of just making Shenmue 4, do a high quality remake of the entire story so far plus the new chapter. Sadly, I don’t think that will ever happen 😢
I think because it ports Ryo's walk cycle the uncanny stiff walk cycle is much easier to see. I actually think it's a nice touch, though admittedly weird

Mr.Francois this is truly an excellent achievement in realism for Shenmue. The detail in the trees feels vibrant and alive. When Ryo walks up to the Coke machine the dirt on it looks outstanding I would 100% drink from it. I like to make a request to see an updated video with Ryo walking while it is raining hard with thunder wind blowing the trees too.

J’oublierais jamais quand j’étais dans shibuya je crois , le nuit , et d’un coup une musique démarre , et la neige se met à tomber .

Tu etait a Shibuya en vacances ou tu parle du jeu?
Dans les deux cas je vois très bien ce que t’a dû ressentir. On l’aura plus ce truc dans les jeux aujourd’hui

Et comme ça date , je me demande si pas jouez à shenmue en décembre, du coup synchro avec le calendrier du jeu et le réel.
Et du coup j’ai du jouer en hiver .
Et voir la neige tomber dans le jeu , avec cette musique , franchement j’ai lâché la manette et j’ai bloqué ^^

This is so amazing! Ryo is running like he has a stick up his butt 😂 but his movements on Dreamcast were definitely stiff and tanky.

Omg ! Formidable travail qui ferait rêver de nombreux fans de la serie. Ce serait la version ultime à ce jour. Juste par curiosité, à la louche cela représente combien d'heures de travail /et d'investissement personnel. Je vais refaire le 1 et 2 avant de lancer le 3, mais cette version serait définitivement la plus excitante
Merci pour ton commentaire ça fait plaisir. C'est du travail c'est évident car je dois faire tous les métiers du jeux vidéos ( ou presque) car je suis tout seul. Props artist, chara artist, environment artist, rigueur , animateur, codeur et lighteur . Ça m'a pris quelques mois pour faire cette petite démo en parallèle de mon travail.
@@francoismontagud268 C'est difficile à réaliser sans l'avoir vécu sois même. Dans tous les cas merci de nous avoir fait rêver avec cette réalisation sublime et unique qui es juste totalement époustouflante :) Ca laisse ce petit coté... On aimeraient tellement pouvoir jouer dans cette qualité de réalisation :)
This makes me wonder why they don't do a remake of one and two. It would sell pretty well and then they could continue working on four.

Would be cool if you could finish the whole game but would Sega allow? Also could imagine how much time it would take
Maybe in another 20 years we can have a full remake of Shenmue (since we may never see the actual story end.)
Sega would have to want to do it because Yu Suzuki would likely have passed by then and even if he was still alive he would be in his mid 80s.
This was one of the 1st if not the 1st 3D open world RPG games.

Thank you. I don't have time to work about an entire remake to unreal 5 but we must to keep hope and maybe we'll see that one day

Not making a judgement at all, but I’m surprised that you chose to model sakuragoaka before dobuita. Dobuita is the first spot I think of when I think shenmue. I guess different parts make an impression on different people. Great work either way

I'd love a remake of Shenmue 1 and 2. I was hoping they would do something like this before Shenmue 3 in order to re-launch the saga.
The Dragon and Phoenix collection is an unofficial remake currently in development. Expect it to be years out from release though.
@@aryudsoh Yeah but only hardcore fans will be aware of that much less seek it out. It needs an official remake from someone who has the money and name value to market it.

i like these streets and houses so great environment graphics! but ryu charecter in Dreamcast much better in graphic.... this ryu his shoulders and the way he run and walk not toi much nice look like a doll! and he is more younger and thin... but the work is good
The character was made by a senior character artist ( Remi luizy). I find it fine personally but I understand what you mean.

@@francoismontagud268 yes of cours i dont mean he is ugly but some notices yea.. if you took Dreamcast version of ryu with improvement graphics would be amazing and the rest specially street s and cozy houses are really amazing and the details are very important too inside houses.. shops... bars... ect ect
