I love how this show's Tick is always punching people through walls and deflecting their own bullets back at them, but always in a way that makes him a precious cinnamon roll too good for this world.
This was how you make an adult-oriented show starring not just The Tick, but ANY classic character: You acknowledge that the tone is different, and then make sure to basically gleefully screw with the darker tone and have the characters true to who they were before, resulting in something that older fans can point to as a true, BLUE depiction of the character. You see, Titans (no offense to the Doom Patrol spin-off, which is actually supposed to be good)?

Doom Patrol isn't a spin off from Titans? It's its own show loosely based off the modern and old comics both. It also isn't for everyone so I understand some people not liking it, like OP

I am still so angry that amazon cancelled this show. It was one of the better superhero shows out there and they snuffed it before waiting for season 2 to get properly out there

Add the first part, where the Tick and Overkill are about to fight but get interrupted, and you have the best scene in the entire show.

I feel like the animated Tick will always be my favorite incarnation of the character, but for a live action show this really wasn’t that bad.
Good thing Tick still has his toon physics powers, so people he interacts with directly can't die from him.
