Finally, I've been waiting for this video for a while! Thank you, Georgy. You are doing the work that the marketing team at Roland should have done.
This thing sounds GREAT!!! I wish I knew about this upcoming release when I bought Casio CT-S500 last year. I would wait for this synth instead
I was thinking about getting the CT-S500. I'm just a beginner but why do you prefer the Roland to what you have, strictly on sounds? Thanks.
@@robw95 Casio sound is flat and boring in comparison with any Roland keyboard, the FXs are especially poor. The interface of CT-S 500 is terrible, making all the great features of the CT-S500 almost inaccessible. I especially hate how you have to reassign parameters to the three knobs every time you want to tweak something. Adding reverb or delay to the sound is literally pain in the sss. Although the build quality of Casio CT-S500 is outstanding, I absolutely love its keybed for practicing, it is very quiet and pleasant to play. CT-S500 is okay for practicing piano, but I'd definitely prefer the new GoKeys instead IF its keyboard is at least satisfactory.
@@robw95 Casio CT-S500 was my first and last Casio keyboard, I am a huge Roland fan, my other 4 synths are Rolands. I play on my Casio CT-S500 a lot because of its great keys. It sounds good enough for practicing, piano sound is good. I often use it when I want to play quietly without headphones. But when I want to compose something and have inspiring sound I always use Rolands. Casio sound is flat and simple, even with the new AiX sound engine.
I did the exact same thing and bought the Casio CT-S500. Though I REALLY like some of the electric piano sounds of the Casio, and also the Indonesian Sasando harp is amazing with a pad sound. Don't think that instrument is available on the Roland. But yeah I would probably have gone with the Go Keys 3/5 if I had known ....
I'm wondering if the balance between auto accompaniment and live soloing is adjustable. Can the individual tracks of the accompaniment be independently volume-controlled or must they simply be switched on or off?
Of course nobody uses the built in speakers. I'd like to hear how they sound, even if it is just a UA-cam video.
I tried them in a music shop. The sound quality is okay but they are very quiet, even at full volume. Certainly not as good as in this video.
They’re actually quite good. Perfect for noodling on a couch.
Hi!
I saw your video with the Roland GO: KEYS 5, and I’m curious about how you connected it to external speakers. I’m new to this and I would like to buy the GO: KEYS 3. Can it be connected the same way to make it sound louder?
Thanks!
Hi @deivo84..yes it can be connected but the only difference between the GO:KEYS 5 and GO:KEYS 3 for the output is that the GO:KEYS 5 has a 1/4 Line Output jack but the GO:KEYS 3 has a mini jack output which you need a splitter and converter to plug it into your amplifier/mixer for louder sound 👍🏻
Concert Piano sound lost to Yamaha PSR-E373
Why piano sounds so solid (no soft) on this keyboard?
Cómo se conecta a una mezcladora o consola si no trae salida para a liar el sonido?
hi there. you can always plug from phones output to your mixer/console for another way
How do the built in speakers sound?
Honest review, it's pretty cheesy but when plugged into the amplifier, then it sounds much better
Bella ma un pokino costosa.
Roland e sempre Roland!
The auto accompaniments are way too “ BUSY “ as usual… can accomp PARTS be muted …. Just leaving the bass and a little bit of guitar?
Hi there. Yes, there’s a Mute button to mute the accompaniment parts
If it weren't for the awful keybeds these keyboards have nowadays, these would be totally gig worthy! In fact, they still can be, me thinks
The keybed is not that bad, it's quite a bit better than the first gen Go keys. And I prefer it to a very light one like a Yamaha E373.
@@JeanV1986 I like the keys on this beast very much. This thing is incredible!
It wasn't bad until those cheesy auto accompaniments started.
Some people love cheese….
@@cinepost Ye, shrimp cocktail, salmon with strawberries and such cheese :D
