You WILL to a greater or lessor degree see some of this behavior. Accept it as truth and act accordingly. Accept little white lies and or repentance when she trusts you enough to be honest. Dating is fun for us Americans. For a Filipina, it truly is the hunger games. Hispanic women (Colombian and Dominicans) are very different from Phillipinas girls. The Drama is much much higher in the Phillipines than in Dominican Republic or Colombia or any other Spanish speaking country.

False. You have to keep all the chat conversations and hopefully there is something in it where she says she is single. I had a situation like that and the husband was trying to blackmail me to report it to the Police and I would be going to jail. So I went to the police told them what happened I'd been blackmailed and introduced the evidence she said she was single. They both got arrested. If you are unlucky and you get a corrupt police officer 100 bucks will do the trick with them.

In 2000.I met a bargirl in George Bocobo St in Manila, who was actually 100% honest. On a visit in 2009 I met a waitress from Cebu who lied about not having children even though I noticed stretch marks on her body, which initially prompted the question. She asked me to marry her about 6 months ago claiming she's always loved me since '09, but she's since had 2 more children from another fella and worked as an aupair in Saudi Arabia for one year recently, yet she wanted money from me to gain entry paper's for UAE. Yes I've since blocked her.

It's absolutely true that not all Filipinas are cheaters. In my case, I've had conversations with many Filipinas, and after a year of chatting, I met a genuinely honest and pure-hearted Filipina. She comes from a very respectable family. We were friends for three years before I visited the Philippines and married her. Now, we have two children, and we're living in the USA. She's a professional gynecologist, and I work as an economist.
Glad to hear you found your special someone, and that both of you are successful at the jobs.
Hopefully she has not been contaminated by modern day western feminism, which contaminates non tainted, non western minded women.

From everything you are telling in this video, Mike, I can deduct (although I knew this already) that honesty is a major issue in the Philippines. Yes, they will lie to you! Yes, they may have a husband or a boyfriend stashed away somewhere! Yes, they may want to be with you for your money and not for love! That's why I'm seriously considering having my next girlfriend checked out by a private investigator. And this also explains where their jealousy and insecurity comes from. They are not upfront with you, so they expect you to have a sceleton in your cupboard as well. They know that they are lying to you, so why should they assume that you are being honest with them? I'm glad you have found a good Filipina, Mike, but for every guy like you there are probably 10 who were not that lucky!

Sounds like there isn't 6 degrees of separation between thai women and fillipinas.
I think the best approach is to take some time, make some acquaintances with some expats and their wives/girlfriend and meet someone through them. Might weed out the real liars and scamming. No guarantees, but better odds of not getting hosed.
Time is the great equalizer. If a guy will come and get settled first, the date around for a while, when he finds a good one, he will know it. Unfortunately most guys hurry into a relationship and realize it was a mistake after it is too late

Good advice, all of it! My plan when I get over there is to stay off the dating sites altogether, then go try out 7-8 different areas for a couple months at a time each, "date the location" first, before deciding which location I want to "marry." Once I find my permanent place, THEN I'll start thinking about dating, and I'll try it organically for the first few months. If not successful, only then will I consider trying online.

The biggest mistake I made in the Philippines was to live with a single mother in Palawan. Everything was fine for 2 months, then one day she asked me to lend her 20k pesos to get her jewelry out of the pawn shop. She said her parents would give me it back the following day but of course she only paid back 6k, all planned. I wasn't aware of her debts and I just couldn't be bothered to leave her and the sum wasn't really huge so I stayed there.
I was very cautious to give her anything else after that but I left her after further bad behaviour and a couple of dubious thefts .
Everyone says avoid Single mothers, I found out for myself.
It's an epidemic there. Just about every 25 year old has a kid by that age

mike, very good advice, so clearly put. danger is when one gets infatuated or emotionally involved, one may break those rules, especially if one comes from a scarcity mindset. the overall message i get is take things slowly, a step at a time. you’ll inevitably go through a lot of frogs before you find a princess, if at all. maintain your frame at all times. in a younger woman, her unspoken hidden long term agenda will slowly become clear. if your goal is simply long term girlfriend without cohabitation , marriage, kids or buying a house together, only finance costs for time you spend together, never capital items or family help. from australia.

When you compliment a Filipina that she's beautiful and they say "no I'm not", it's not so much that they're insecure as much as it's part of the culture's humility to deflect praise. Because saying "thank you" is interpreted as "yes, I am beautiful" and that is something they loathe upon.

An eyeopener.I was engaged to Filipino woman for 5 years but couldn't live where she lived so i left.She was always looking at my phone and I'm sure some ST cards disappeared and memory sticks as well.I lost a house and motorbike but the worst was she stole my phone and can't get into my banking app or emails.
Age old advice: "Trust, but verify". Take the time, make the effort to verify _everything_. If you don't, you deserve what you get.

We started out online (late 2009) on a very irregular basis due to time differences and both having a full time job plus that both she and I also had other commitments (Hobby, friends, family). Long story short, Sept 2010, she picked me up from the airport (CEB). (I didnt know that people who pick up friends, family are NOT allowed to enter the arrival building in PH). After that straight to the hotel (Waterfront Cebu City). The next day, she took me to her mom, dad & brother.

I know a Filipina married an American in Philippines came to US got her green card never wanted to work, maxed out all his credit cards,bankrupt her husband in 2 years. After the husband divorced her then she took 2 kids away from her ex moved to California not only received child support from her ex but also wrongfully accused her ex not paying child support at the same time she was collecting welfare from state of California for years until the ex took her to the court. All she wanted is married someone who is American,any American who will fall for her and take her away from the poverty. They will do anything in their power to lure the man in with all the phony promises.

I was lucky to end up with a wonderful Filipina. We dated for close to 2 yrs before living together. Many times we were chaperoned by one of her sisters or cousin. They knew they were getting a steak dinner😅. She never asked for money. Has a very nice large family. Never lied about her situation. It's probably why we've been married 38 yrs with 3 wonderful adult children. She became a U.S. citizen. Staying in the P.I. wasn't an option she wanted. Though we do stay there part time throughout the year.
But if you end up with a "bad" one, they can make your life miserable. Be very careful. So many just see you as a walking ATM.
Nepal is even more poorer country than Philippines, you won't like to immigrate there unlike some western country.
Sure there are exceptions to general girls he is talking about. You may be one of them.

My boyfriend from Nepal has lived in Australia since he was 18 and has traveled extensively, which shows that people can thrive regardless of their background.
Ultimately, material wealth and economics aren't what matter most to me. What I value is a quality relationship, a simple life, peace of mind, and happiness. We will all leave this world eventually, so it's the meaningful connections that truly count.

Mike, I made it clear to my gf that culturally, looking at my phone is absolutely unacceptable and demonstrates a lack of trust. She accepted it and has never tried. Im sure it was you who previously mentioned. Set the ground rules early on in the relationship, and if she's committed, she will follow. great vid Mike. you nailed it on all fronts. i have been chatting with Filipinas for a few years now. they do all the things you mentioned. add to that we have to listen to those damn loud roosters and barking dogs in the background. gives me a headache😂🐓🐶🐕

I had a contact with a girl that was working on a ship, or so she said. She started asking me for money, to help her or to help her family, because her sister was sick or something. I did'nt know her and we had no relationship but she seemed to think that I could be a money pit to her. It sounded more and more like she was on a fishing expedition and I was the fish, so I ended our chat and wished her and her family well, but said I could'nt help her. She grew silent very fast indeed.

#4 I think it’s not “tempo”😂 it’s tampo perhaps..and I think it’s ok to be curious at the beginning because you definitely don’t know the person in front of you that will be part of her life. It should be both parties. Well speaking from experience. Lots of foreign men are playing their games too as they think they have millions of options.

Excellent video Mike. Good advice I heard before I came was this, if you have to ask if a Filipina likes you, she doesn't. If she likes you she will come on strong, coming from the west it was refreshing and scary at the same time. If she does not snoop your phone she does not really like you. I really hated this one but I have learned to treat my phone as open. I can't remember to turn it off every time. The rest is 100% accurate. But I would prefer a woman that really loves me and is a bit crazy/jealous rather than all western women who just ignore me. A safety valve is no marriage and renting only for me. Cam

Hey, I'm Filipino and I think they're not really dark secrets but mysteries to embrace and adapt with. They're common things that happen even between Filipinos. Filipino culture is just diverse to many foreigners and would need learning. Knowing your woman well is the key, do background checks if necessary up to your satisfaction before involving yourselves deeper if you guys are really in to Filipinas💔

Nice advice. I did talk to a lot of them but always with eyes and ears wide open. Once, one was talking to me pretending to be in Northern Mindanao for me to find out that in fact she wasn't even in the Philippines but in New Zealand already with a guy from there, but still she was trying to get something out of other men. Yes, eyes wide open and common sense. Video chat is the best friend to make sure no one is pulling your leg. Married to a decent Filipina from a decent family. Never had any problem at all. Cheers.
